Summary: Royal Rumble 2003, one of the best
Review: Angle vs. Benoit is a classic. Awesome match. Buy the DVD for this match alone.

Plus the Royal Rumble Match was one of the best. All around the match was great to watch. Now slow points. The names just keep rolling in. Unlike past Rumbles when no-name jobbers filled the ring. WWE actually did a very good job with this. One of my favorite Royal Rumble Matches, if not the favorite.

Triple H vs. Scott Steiner was a stinker. Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show was just there. The rest of the matches were ok.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great Rumble
Review: Benoit Vs Angle and the Rumble match itself made this PPV a Classic

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: PPV Has One Of The Best Matches Ever!!!!
Review: WWE Royal Rumble 2003 was a decent PPV. It was held in January of 2003 at the Fleet Center in Boston, Massuchussets. I will review and rank the matches for you. They are based out of ten points.

1. BROCK LESNAR (VS) BIG SHOW (WINNER GETS AN ENTRANT IN RUMBLE MATCH)
Good way to kick off the show. Decent match, nothing too spectacular. Not as good as their match at Survivor Series, but still pretty good. Lesnar wins after delivering the F-5. (7.5/10)
2. DUDLEY'S (VS) WILLIAM REGAL & LANCE STORM (WORLD TAG TITLE)
Decent match. It could have been a lot better. D-Von nails Regal with the brass knuckles. He gets the 1-2-3. New tag champs. (7/10)
3. TORRIE WILSON (VS) DAWN MARIE
This was finally the end to these two long standing fued. Finally, it was over. Torrie wins. (2/10)
4. SCOTT STEINER (VS) TRIPLE H (WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT)
There was a lot of hype going into this match. These two had great chemistry together on RAW. It was Steiner's first match in the WWE. The match did not live up to the expectations. Steiner kept doing the same move and he became very winded. The crowd started to boo him. Steiner wins by DQ after Triple H uses the sledgehammer. What a surprise. (5/10)
5. KURT ANGLE (VS) CHRIS BENOIT (WWE TITLE)
These two have amazing chemistry together. It cannot be matched by anybody else. Amazing. The match started out great because Team Angle was kicked out of ringside. This was a great back and forth match. There were some great moves. Benoit DDT's Angle on the outside apron. Benoit flys about 3/4 of the way across the way to deliver the flying headbutt. Wow!!!!!!!! Benoit gives Angle one of the best German Suplexes you will ever see. The end is so amazing. There is constant reversals of finishers and close falls. Angle finally wins as Benoit taps to a version of the Ankle Lock. After the match, there is a promo for WWE Anthology. Quickly, the camera goes back to the ring as Benoit is getting a standing ovation. I think this was totally unexpected, but it is great. This is one of the best matches you will ever see. (10/10)
6. RUMBLE MATCH
The Rumble match started out great. A shocking moment occurs as HBK is the first wrestler eliminated. The action Edge and Mysterio is great. Chris Nowinski almost gets his face crushed. Tommy Dreamer comes in with weapons. He hits Jericho in the face with a kendo stick and really hurts him. He misses Y2J's eye by about an inch and leaves a nasty cut. The Undertaker makes his return at the end. Michaels makes a surprise appearance towards the end. Lesnar wins by eliminating The Undertaker. He gets a shot at the main event at the Royal Rumble. (8.5/10)

EXTRAS
Not to many good extras. There is an over the top challenge from RAW and some interviews, but nothing too spectacular.

I recommend buying this DVD for the Angle and Benoit match alone. It will probably be match of the year. It is an amazing match. The Rumble is good. It slows down at points and the end is a little too predictable, but it is still good. I definately recommend purchashing this DVD.

Overall Score: 6/10 (3 Stars*)

My Thoughts: The whole PPV is worth buying just by watching the Angle/Benoit match and the Royal Rumble. The rest pretty much stunk especially that god awful HHH/Steiner match. And WTF? Torrie vs. Dawn? Do we really care? Did it really deserve a place in the card? Lesnar vs. Big Show wasn't all that bad but the Tag Team Championship match between Storm & Regal vs. Dudleyz was verrrry boring; just slow paced and very dragging.

Benoit/Angle definately deserves Match of the Year. Quite possibly even the greatest match in WWE history.

Royal Rumble was above average. Some entertaining stuff especially with the RVD and Kane thing. And I was surprised how HBK was eliminated so fast. I also liked the return of the Undertaker even though I was expecting a "darkside" return.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Probably the best Royal Rumble ever.
Review: This pay per view was a very solid entry in a series of great pay per views from the WWE. Some very solid matches include Lance Storm and Steven Reagal vs. The Dudley Boys and the best Royal Rumble match since 1997. But all that away, this event had the best WWE title match of all time, and one of the worst. Let's go ahead and get the bad out of the way:
Scott Steiner vs. Triple H
Oh, gosh this is hilarious! This thing is FILLED with botched spots, character breaks, and loooooooooong rest holds. For those of you who have not had the torture of seeing this classic, lemme tell ya: It's bad. I think most WWE fans going into this match was really hyped up, cause, i have to admit, it had great build up. But after about 5 minutes of action or whatever, half the crowd turned on the baby face Steiner. While Trips is in no great kind of shape currently, he tried to keep this match up so badly. Oh did he try. It's like watching a b-movie, camp movie. And to think that they headlined another ppv the next month? Jeez...
Now the good:
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit

Having seen most of their matches and owning them (cage on Raw, 2 single matches of 2k2 on SD!, single from WM17, Submission from Backlash 2k1, 2/3 falls from Judgement day 2k1, and single from Unforgiven 2k2) I knew that they would have a great five star match. Hardly. It was the best any kind of title match that the wwe has ever had, followed closely by Owen VS. Bret from Summerslam. The match included incredible counters, dramatic intensity, and well balanced pace changes and style changes. I would have payed hundreds to have been able to seen it live. Fantastic.

Summary: We gotta take the bad HHH/Steiner with the good Benoit/Angle
Review: Ill tell you my opinion... then you make yours
Big Show v. Brock Lesnar
Ok, before I say Big Show ..., Id like to give these two credit for having a good match. Now ill say Big Show ..... Good match considering who was in it though. **1/2
Raw Titles
Lance Storm and Regal Vs. the DUDley Boyz
Dvon wins using Regals knuxs. Bad finish, ok match *3/4
Dawn Marie Vs. Torrie
Ok its a womans match. But a bad one at that, at least it was short -**
Raw Title
HHH Vs. The Big Bad Booty Daddy

Oh my God, after watching this you gotta wonder if Steiner can do ANYTHING but a belly to belly. Its the only move he does and the match gets bood like crazy. The DQ allows me to conclude this is top 5 worst matches Ive seen. -****
NOW this is where the show turns around
Smackdown Title
Canadian Jesus Vs. American Jesus
Benoit Vs. Angle
WOW! A awesome 20 minute match that is one of the best 5 matches Ive seen, allowing me to forget the HHH/ Steiner match and save this PPV. Awesome match, as the crowd cheers Benoit to a standing ovation even afer he loses! ****1/2
The Royal Rumble
Pretty good, but predictable rumble. Undertaker returns, and comes down to him and Brock. Brock wins and is headed for MANIA! ***1/2
Great? No. Horrible? No. Should watching Steiner/HHH be a form of torture? Yes. Should Angle/Benoit wrestle every day against eachother? Yes. If you like Angle, Benoit, Brock, Taker, or want to torture somebody by replaying HHH/Steiner all day than this DVD is for you!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: RUMBLE ME THIS
Review: The Royal Rumble is my favorite Pay Per View. I love not knowing who is coming down the isle next. My two favorite Rumbles are when the Rock won in I think it was 99 and the 2001 when Kane Reigned for a minute.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: split both ways
Review: [...]BR>Before I even start on the wrestling, I must warn you that the sound quality is not good. Whoever [...] Sometimes the announcers' S's get fuzzy, and the tape absolutely butchers Kurt Angle's theme music. Also, the crowd seems curiously sedated.
As for the matches:
Big Show v. Brock Lesnar. This was the first match, and not long enough, either. The PPV started too quickly. Of course, Brock won.
Dudley Boyz v. Lance Storm and William Regal. For the tag championship belts, no less. Dudleys won, but this match was merely okay.
Dawn Marie v. Torrie Wilson. Oh my God. The storyline was awful and grossly unlikely. The match was worse. Get some actual wrestlers in women's matches, instead of porn stars and bimbos.
Triple H v. Scott Steiner. For the WCW belt. This wasn't bad. It just wasn't good enough. Still, HHH was a bloody mess.
Kurt Angle v. Chris Benoit. World Title. Awesome match.
Rumble: average. I never knew they were this boring, though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This PPV has one of the best matches EVER[!!!]
Review: Royal Rumble 2003 took place at the Fleet Center in Boston. Royal Rumble is always a good PPV and it is a great way to kick off the new year. I wiil rank the matches on a star (*) system. They are based out of 5 stars. **1/2

... Extra Features
Nothing too exciting. There is an over the top rope challenge from RAW between Y2J, Batista, Kane, & RVD. The winner gets to pick their entry spot in the Rumble. Y2J wins it. **
I don't remember the other extras, but there is really nothing too good.

Decent PPV. Unfortunately there are two really bad matches, but there are two good ones. The Rumble Match itself was good, especially the first half. The ending is was just a little too predictable. It is good otherwise. Angle and Benoit made the PPV. Buy the DVD just to see this match. It is one of the best matches I have ever seen. It will be the #1 match of the year.

I recommend purchasing this DVD for the Angle & Benoit match and the Rumble Match.

Summary: 2003 Royal Rumble
Review: This is a review about the 2003 WWE Royal Rumble
O.K. let's talk about the first match, with the winner going into the Royal Rumble.

1.Brock Lesner vs. The Big Show
It was an O.K. match but should've been longer, and even though you haven't seen it you know who is gonna win.
3 stars

The next match is for the World Tag Team Championship

2.World Tag Team Championship
Willam Regal & Lance Storm vs. The Dudley Boyz
This one was also O.K. but not enough WRESTLING!!...

This was the first ever Step Mother vs. Step Daughter match

3.Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie
Um...was this really a match???I'm just kidding, this match wasn't a classic but niether a sleeper. ...
2 stars P.S. Dawn and Torrie are very pretty!!!

The next match was a World Heavyweight Championship match, which is just another name for W.C.W. championship

4.World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs. Scott Steiner
This match was disapponting and little boring but not terrible. But in my opinon Triple H should've lost but once again that long nosed freak uses a sludge hammer.
2 1/2 stars P.S. Triple H says on the video that he's beaten everybody but that not true because he hasn't beaten The Undertaker,Hulk Hogan,Brock Lesnar,Kevin Nash,Goldberg,Chris Benoit,Edge and so on.

Next is the WWE Championship

5.World Wrestling Entertainment Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit
... This match is a classic and guess what?
They actually wrestle!I love this match and happpy about it because Kurt didn't use Team Angle
5 stars

Now the Royal Rumble
Great royal rumble but Shawn Michaels should've lasted longer and the N.W.O. should've been it. ...BR>4 stars
