Summary: Very good PPV overall
Review: This was a great PPV, with an excellent effort by all, especially Benoit v. Jericho (IC Title Ladder Match). With the exception of Chyna v. Ivory, the card was spectacular, with no match being less than extremely good. Chyna v. Ivory has no value whatsoever, however, so I'd reccomend just fast-forwarding through the 4 minutes that takes. Anyway, thumbs way up for Royal Rumble 2001!

Summary: Royal Rumble 2001
Review: This was great way to start of the year 2001 for the WWF. The regular card match that was the best was without a doubt, Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. They tore each other apart and did some unbelivable things with the ladder. Dudleyz vs. Edge and Christian for the tag team titles was a solid match. Chyna vs. Ivory was a pure waste of ppv time, escpecially with the stupid ending. I expected HHH w/Stephanie vs. Kurt Angle w/Trish for the World Wrestling Federation Championship to be a good match. Well, it was a let down, the best part of the match was when Stephanie and Trish got into a fight even Vince McMahon couldn't handle. The 30-man royal rumble match was great. For the 1st time they had a little hardcore rumble. The ending was great with Austin winning the match to get a WWF title shot at WWF WrestleMania X-Seven. Plus, the return of the Honky Tonk Man, Haku, Big Show, and Drew Carey? It is a great PPV, BUY IT!!!

Summary: Best one ever!!!
Review: I was at the Rumble when it came down here to New Orleans(even got on T.V.)It was the best show ever. The only bad part was the Chyna/Ivory match.E&C vs the Dudley Boys was great. The ladder match between Chris Jericho and Chris Beniot was gereat. The HHH vs Angle was an extremely good match better than I thought it would be. And finally the Rumble match was great with a lot of surprises I didn't expect. In the end it was the best WWF PPV in a long time.

Summary: good not great
Review: okay show, but if you want a real good 2001 wwf video go with no way out.

Edge and christian vs. dudlys was a great opener and got the crowd going.

Benoit vs. jericho ladder match was great, by far the best match on the card

chyna vs. ivory was a snack match, just go get snacks during this one.

Angle vs. hhh for the wwf title was good, it dragged a little bit but not a bad match.

the rumble itself was a whole lot better than last years, there is a whole lot more suprises.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: All in All a Great PPV
Review: Although it's early in the year, this PPV still has a good chance of being the PPV of the year. Edge and Christian V.S. Dudleyz Boyz seemed to have lost its taste after the reoccuring match, but this certainly changed that. Both teams put on a hell of a performance. Jericho V.S. Benoit in a ladder match was without a doubt their best match together so far, and they've had some great fights. So far that has been the best match of they year, even better than No Way Out's 2 out of 3 falls.

Angle V.S. HHH for the title was entertaining because for the first time there was no fan favorite, and personally I didnt care. They had a great match with the exception of Stone Cold interfering but still very entertaining. The Royal Rumble itself was great with Drew Carey being in the ring alone acting like he's all that and then Kane comes out and Drew hops over the ropes. The Hardcore action during the Rumble was a good way to use the time: Trash Cans, Kendo Sticks, etc. Big Show making his grand return and chokeslamming the Rock through the table as a bit of revenge for Rock eliminating Show was just a way to hype up Show's return and just got the Rock out of the ring for awhile. When Kane was about to be eliminated by all the Hardcore guys and Undertaker came out the crowd went nuts. Austin getting attacked by HHH when he came down to the ring was well deserved for Austin ruining the title match, but the AUstin fans out there will hate it. In the end the last three guys were Kane, Rock, and Austin, and it was a great ending to a great match.

The reason this is only 4 stars was because Ivory and Chyna put on the biggest waste of time in the last 30 years of wrestling when we could have seen a good Test and WIlliam Regal match. Chyna got carried out on the stretcher again, yeah, why didnt they just keep her out? Why waste 20 minutes having her leave? The whole neck injury was a bad idea anyway. Only dogs wore the neckbrace she had on, it was not real. And if you want to know about neck injuries look at Austin or even Christopher Reeves. For some reason Chyna comes back after a month of being out and all I can say is I she didnt.

Other than that this was a good PPV and the DVD extras were very entertaining but didnt include enough as Home Videos like Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops or Austin's new one. The extra money to get the DVD instead of the VHS is well worth it, as WWF always seems to do good with their DVDs with feedback and voice overs by the superstars.

Summary: ROYAL RUMBLE LIVES UP TO ITS NAME!!!
Review: I don't own the video, but I watched the pay-per-view, and it was a solid show from beginning to end, the only exception being the Chyna vs. Ivory match. The Jericho/Benoit ladder match is worth the price of the video itself. The Royal Rumble match is action packed, and has some hilarious moments to boot. This is one of the best pay-per-views the WWF has produced in a long time. I highly recommend it to any wrestling fan.

Summary: WWF ROYAL RUMBLE
Review: THIS WWF ROYAL RUMBLE 2001 WAS THE BEST RUMBLE OF ALL TIME AND ONE OF THE BEST PPVS OF ALL TIME. THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DUDLEY BOYZ AND EDGE AND CHRISTIAN WAS PRETTY GOOD. THE DUDLEYZ CAME OUT OF THAT MATCH THE NEW WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. THE LADDER MATCH FOR THE WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE WAS THE GREATEST LADDER MATCH IN WWF HISTORY. THE MATCH WAS BETWEEN CHRIS BENOIT AND CHRIS JERICHO. THIS MATCH FEATURED JERICHO PUTTING THE WALLS OF JERICHO ON BENOIT FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER! JERICHO IN THE END BECAME THE NEW INERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION. THE CHYNA VS. IVORY MATCH FOR THE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP WAS OK. THIS MATCH WAS SHORT AND IVORY ENDED UP RETAINING HER BELT. THE NEXT MATCH WAS THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH INCLUDING KURT ANGLE WITH TRISH STRATUS AND TRIPLE H WITH STEPHANIE MCMAHON-HELMSLEY. TRISH AND STEPH ENDED UP FIGHTIN OUTSIDE OF THE RING. AT THE END IT WAS STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN WHO HIT THE GAME IN THE FACE WITH THE BELT AND THEN LAYED HIM OUT WITH A STONE COLD STUNNER. THIS ALLOWED ANGLE TO COVER TRIPLE H AND WIN THE MATCH IN ONE OF THE GREATEST WWF TITLE MATCHES OF ALL TIME. THE LAST MATCH WAS THE 30 MAN ROYAL RUMBLE. THIS HAD TO BE THE MOST EXCITING RUMBLE MATCH IN WWF HISTORY.IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RUMBLE AUSTIN MADE HIS WAY OUT, BUT TRIPLE H WHO WAS SCREWED BY AUSTIN EARLIER CAME OUT AND BEAT THE LIFE OUT OF AUSTIN BEFORE HE COULD GET TO THE RING. AFTER THE ATTACK AUSTIN WAS BUSTED WIDE OPEN, BUT STILL WAS ABLE TO ELIMINATE KANE AND WIN THE 30 MAN ROYAL RUMBLE. YOU HAVE TO GET THE WWF ROYAL RUMBLE 2001 ON VIDEO OR DVD BECAUSE THIS IS A PPV THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS.
