Summary: nWo: Back In Black
Review: I never watched any of the nWo stuff, but after seeing it in WWE, I knew I had to check out this DVD.
The stars on this DVD (Hogan and Hall) take an out of character look at what was possibly the most influential stable in wrestling history: the New World Order.
This DVD is spectacular, especially if you havent seen any pre-WWE nWo stuff, what it basically is, is an hour and a half biography which shows you a brief history of Hogan's WWF career, a pretty thorough look at Hall & Nash's pre-WCW days as Razor Ramon and Diesel, aswell as even some stuff on Shawn Michaels.
Then it gets into the begining of the Outsiders, even talking about the fan controversy surrounding them, and finally Hogan creating the nWo. It features clips from many great matches in the nWo history aswell as some of their promos, and even Paul Wright joining them. But then it fastforwards to 2001 with Flair joining WWF, and Mr. McMahon calling in the nWo four months later, and then shows various clips from their promos at no Way out 2002, and them attacking the Rock, and finally clips from Hall & Hogan's X8 matches.But in the extras menu we got four macthes and two commercials: WCW Bash At The Beach '96:
The Outsiders vs. Sting, Lex Luger, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair. - This was the famous match where Hogan made his turn and created the nWo, this chapter lasts for a 45 minutes and 20 of them are made up of Hogan's legendary heel-turn. While I found the match boring, the promo was good, but that you can watch on chapter 6 of the main feature on the DVD anyways. WCW Fall Brawl War Games '96:
The nWo w/ fake Sting vs. real Sting, Lex Luger, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair. - This was a good solid entertaining match, although I found it strage that there's two rings in it. It actually seems like a Royal Rumble knock-off. But I still enjoyed it, even though one of the commentators has an annoying voice, and plus they kept babbling about the fake Sting storyline whih I know nothing about. WCW Starrcade '98:
Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg; WCW World Heavyweight Title match - This was a great match, I highly recoomend it. This was the match that ended Goldberg's famous 173-0 streak. It was also more like the WCW that I remember (I started watching it in 1999). nWo 4 Life WWF commercial. nWo Poison WWF commercial. WWF Raw (march 11, 2002):
This match was horrible, I don't even see why they included it on here. If they watched to have a great nWo/WWF match on here, include Hogan vs. The Rock at WM X8, not this [poop], I didn't like it when I seen it on TV and I still don't. Overall, this is a great DVD. The feature itself plus 4 matches (two of them being great) make it worthwhile. Although I was the feature had been longer and had talked more about the decline of nWo and the splitting of the nWo into differant groups, I still love it. Here's hoping for a Hulkamania DVD.

Summary: Before DX , there was the NWO
Review: I think the NWO is a refreshing part of wrestling history. I was glad to see the Scott Hall/Kevin Nash invasion of WCW. "You want a war, You got one." I thought it was entertaining the way they made fun of WCW talent."What, you couldn't hire a palentologist to clear some of these old fossals." They destroyed WCW, by the time Sting got involved, the NWO reigned supreme. It would have gone better if they had just kept it Hall,Nash,Hogan,S.Steiner,Curt Henning,and Horace Hogan. I thought the WWE invasion would have gone better if Eric Bicshoff was at the helm leading the NWO alongside Hollywood Hogan. Before, DX there was the NWO. Unlike DX, The NWO IS 4-LIFE. I truely beleive if there was a Six Man tag team match Between The Game and the New Age Outlaws (DX) vs. Hollywood Hagan and the Outsiders(NWO), the NWO would reign supreme as always.

Summary: A DISSAPPOINTMENT!
Review: I was expecting so much more from this DVD. The main problem: Why does half of this DVD take place since their WWF debut(only about 3 months), when they were terrorizing WCW for four years? Now I understand that it can be more fun going to the dentist than watching WCW, but the NWO segments were always very compelling. This DVD fails to really capture the essence of what the NWO was all about and just how big an impact they had on wrestling. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad DVD and I don't regret buying it, but if you're looking for a really great DVD about a wrestler's history you should buy TRIPLE H; The Game or HULK Still Rules instead.
If you have an extra 20 bucks lying around, then buy it. If you don't expect too much, you just might enjoy it.

Summary: A Pretty Good DVD
Review: I was pretty satisfied with this DVD for the most part. However, for a DVD that was supposed to chronicle the history of the nWo, it kinda came up short in the "history" department. The very beginnings of the group were covered in great detail, however, the coverage of the WCW "era" of the nWo ended after The Giant joined up with the group in 1996. What about the next 4 years?? Hogan's loss to Sting at Starrcade 97....the split into 2 factions? nWo 2000?? Unfortunately, these and other historically important highlights were left off in favor of coverage of the nWo's return to the WWF. The bonus matches that were included, however, made up for the lack of history in part. Overall, not such a bad DVD, but if you're looking for the *FULL* history of the nWo, this just doesn't cut it.

Summary: Where's the Wolfpac?
Review: I was very pleased to see that the WWE has been making good use of it's newly acquired WCW library of footage and including matches from their superstars days in the other federations. For example, on the DVD "Stone Cold Steve Austin - What?" (which now may be a collectors item as he has apparently left the company) there is a match between Stunning Steve and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat which Austin said was his favorite match ever. Now we get to see that match instead of just taking his word for it. I can only hope that when "Triple H - The Game" is released that we will get to see his brief days in WCW included as a bonus as well. The same goes for Rob Van Dam whenever he gets a retrosepctive DVD - the WWE dare not put one out without having a bunch of ECW matches as bonuses. With this nWo DVD, you can't discuss them without addressing their time in WCW b/c that's where this whole thing started. The DVD does an excellent job of setting up Nash, Hall, and Hogan's departures from the WWF/E and how the nWo ball got rolling in WCW. Included are Hall's first appearance on Nitro as well as Nash. On the bonus side, many of the major nWo/WCW matches are included, especially Bash at the Beach where Hogan officially joins the group. The DVD chronicles the remaining run of the nWo, their arrival in the WWE, and concludes with X-pac returning to the fold after Hogan's forced departure at the end of WrestleMania X8. Where I was disappointed in this DVD is that it basically is just a look at Hall, Nash, and Hogan but not really a full-on look at the nWo itself. Where are the infamous battles with Sting and DDP? ...the climactic split of the nWo into the White (led by Hogan) and Red (the Wolfpac led by Nash) factions? ...the shocking reformation of the group after the infamous Nash vs. Hogan "finger felt round the world" match? These are all HUGE events in the life of the nWo, yet all are glossed over in this retrospective look at the group. WWE now owns all of this footage so why not put it to good use and include it? There is a passing mention of the nWo losing it's steam as it grew in numbers, but that's all that's ever eluded to concerning any other members besides the original three (although there is a small bit on the Giant/Big Show joining the group). Now that Shawn Michaels has returned to WWE television by joining the nWo (Nash and Michaels back together - all that's missing is Triple H and Hall and we have the original Kliq back in one federation), I truly hope that their storylines will be turned in a more interesting direction and that they become the dominant force that they once were. With the current lackluster creative storylines causing top talent to leave and the WWE themselves admitting that they are losing touch with the fans, I genuinely hope they turn things around - and the new nWo might just be the first step. If that is the case, then I genuinely hope for a follow-up nWo DVD from WWE that would cover everything mentioned in previous paragraphs as well as the new direction that the group is taking. Overall, this is a solid DVD and well worth the purchase for any nWo fan as well as anyone longing for the old days of when this renegade group dominated the world of sports entertainment and, regardless of which company you were a fan of, you'd always tune in to see what they'd do next.

It begins in the early days (prior to uniting) to joining forces in WCW, and it flows through WrestleMania X8; however, it skips from late-1996 to November 2001 in an awkward heartbeat. If you were looking for a true NWO chronicle, then check out "NWO 4 Life" which covers from June 1996 through January 1999 (Warner-Bros.). The bonus matches are very lengthy and they don't end when the match is over. Most of them were the last match of their respective programs, and the extra usually carries through the end of the program on which they occurred. For those fans that have purchased the DVD, then do not miss the four Easter Eggs. They are found in the "Breakdown" sections, by pushing the >> button on the menu options (next, back, resume) on each of the pages in that section. Also, check out Kevin Nash's impressive one-handed catch of a soda being thrown at him at the 01:49:44-mark of the program itself. Now, that moment was classic "Big Daddy Cool!"

Summary: Very Good but a few improvements...
Review: Overall, this dvd rocks. As said in an earlier review, the WWF has taken full advantage of WCW footage by including it in this release. The DVD includes the entrance of Razor Ramon, and then Diesel, into WCW, and then the biggest heal turn in the history of wrestling, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. I wished they had showed a little more footage of the NWO running rampant through the WCW (ie when they took over Nitro) and would have loved if they had shown the majority of the NWO "Paid for" Commercials. I agree with the decision to not show NWO Wolfpack b/c that was when the NWO storyline was begin to lose interest.
The WWF footage was good but wished they had included more footage from initial night interviews (No Way Out) and the next night at Raw (coming out to Stone Cold's Challenge, and more of the Hogan/Rock interview). But the most disappointing part of the WWf footage was the Hogan/Rock match at Wrestlemania. The match footage was way too chopped up, and you actually can get dizzy watching it b/c they keep cutting from scene to scene. Would much more have liked to seen the match with a huge cut in the middle instead of cut, cut, cut, cut, etc. The DVD extras are excellent. Overall, this is a very good DVD. I just wish the WWF would put out another to fill out missing details and show all the cool NWO Promos. Definitly recommend to any NWO fan 4 life.

Summary: Good DVD for all of you nWo fans
Review: The DVD is good for a non WWE PPV. My favorite part is when the nWo began the era of destruction and the exclusive footage of Razor Ramon and Diesel at thier last match at WWF (currently WWE). The Monday Night Nitros and PPVs footage covers the nWo from the get go. Later on, the nWo re-appeared at No Way Out in 2002. And there, they reach havoc in the WWE. Positives- Hall did a interview for the nWo video. (He did not do an interview for the nWo 4 Life video in WCW.) 4 extra matches and 2 promos. The exclusive footage of the last appearance of the Kliq. (X-Pac wasn't in the picture because he was injured.) No footage from nWo 2000. (That faction should not be in the video or DVD anyway) Negatives- No Kevin Nash interview. No nWo Wolfpac footage if you get the videotape. And there's only one footage anyway with the DVD. That's the match with Big Sexy and Goldberg. No nWo red and white and black. Should have more footage of the nWo because the movie was not long enough. The reason why I give it four stars is because there were no Nash or no nWo Wolfpac, and also, all the other negatives that I listed. Other than that, good feature.
