Summary: Just got back from the big event
Review: This was the first chance I'd gotten to go to a Wrestlemania and it was a great experience. I will say that the event wasn't as good as 17 or 10, but was probably as good (or better) than 12, 3, 8 and 6. It was easily better than 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 16.

The highpoints of the night were easily Hogan vs. Rock and Flair vs. Undertaker. Crowd was really hot for these two matches and most of us there lost our intensity after Hogan/Rock. HHH and Y2J tried, but they couldn't get us into their match. All I can say is the WWF should have put Hogan/Rock on last if they wanted a hot crowd the whole night.

A few interesting notes from the live event -- the hardcore match(es) went over very well live, but I've heard they were flat on PPV. Stone Cold made an appearance in our section (200) during the Maven/Goldust portion of that match, so if you hear what? chants during the match that's why. Also there were two pretty loud chants directed at HHH during the main event, but I've yet to read of anyone picking these up from PPV.

Here's my ratings for the night (in no particular order):

Mr. Perfect, Lance Storm & Test vs. Rikishi, Albert & Scotty 2 Hotty -- * 1/2, highlight was Perfect using a towel to protect himself from the stinkface.

RVD vs. William Regal for the Intercontinental Title -- *** Regal finally meshed well with a WWF wrestler and RVD's win got the official card started off well.

Christian vs. DDP for the European Title -- *1/4, boring match that had any heat for it killed by the announcement of Christian residing in Tampa.

Hardcore Title matches -- **1/4, harmless, amusing entertainment. Al Snow crashing his golf cart was pretty funny.

Edge vs Booker T -- ** 1/2, expected a lot more from this match. Shockingly this was the only win for a Canadian.

Jazz vs. Lita vs. Trish for the Women's Title -- * 3/4, Jazz's super fisherman buster gets this match a few extra points. I felt bad for these women having to follow Hogan/Rock.

Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall -- *1/4, easily Stone Cold's worst PPV match in at least six years, and it wasn't his fault. Hall is a waste who drags opponents down several levels. It was smart of Austin to go home and stay from TV following this junk.

Billy & Chuck vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. APA for the Tag Titles -- DUD, one of the worst matches on a Wrestlemania, probably since 12's Warrior/HHH match. Horrid stuff, figured Hardys and Dudleys could carry this, but everyone looked bored and it showed.

Kurt Angle vs. Kane -- ***, Angle carried Kane once again to a solid match. Not Angle's best match, but look at the opponent.

Ric Flair vs. Undertaker -- ****, really hot match. Taker sold for Flair unlike he's done for anyone else. Give Taker credit for that because selling isn't his strong suit. Flair worked extremely hard and put on quite a show for a guy that's wrestled only once before this year. Awesome spot with Arn Anderson nailing Taker with the spinebuster. Too bad Benoit didn't appear (though I did meet him on Friday at Axxess). Expected Taker's WM win streak to end, but the match was so good it was all right he won.

Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock -- *****, easily Hogan's best match since 5 (Savage) or 6 (Warrior) and one of The Rock's best ever, which says something. The crowd was INCREDIBLE for this match, heck the cheering for both guys started while we were waiting outside. Unreal heat. Great script. Cool ending. Not the best Wrestlemania match (Bret vs. Austin or Savage vs. Steamboat take that honor), but easily the best match in the US thus far this year. Don't believe the haters out there saying the match was just okay, it ruled trust me and I really dislike Hogan.

Jericho vs. HHH for the Undisputed World Title --- *** 1/4, Jericho got a strong reaction, but Stephanie ruined it for him. Not the blow away match most Mania main events are, but they had to follow Hogan/Rock, so they had a spent crowd against them. Hot ending sequence put the match over. Not many remained for HHH's celebration, though.

This was really a two match card, but those two matches will be remembered for years. The rest of the card is an average PPV with some above average matches and 1 or 2 stinkers. An easy recommendation for Hogan/Rock alone.

Summary: CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!!!!!!
Review: I watched this spectacular pay perview just ...[a few] days ago and I can say that the Hogan vs Rock match is well worth the 20 to 30 bucks you have to shell out for this dvd. Plus you know dvd has the extra's but for any true wrestling fan no extra's are needed. Bottom line...HOGAN, ROCK, WRESTLEMANIA....NEED I SAY MORE?

Summary: ANOTHER GREAT WRESTLEMANIA!!!
Review: I JUST FINISH WATCH WWF WRESTLEMANIA X8 AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE!

THE SHOW IS 3HOURS AND FOURTY-FIVE MINUTES LONG AND IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY I SPEND TO GO SEE IT LIVE!

THE HARDCORE MATCH I WOULD GIVE 3 1/2 STARS BECAUSE IT WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE THE TITLE CHANGED HANDS MORE THAN ONCE.

THE WOMEN'S MATCH WAS INCREDIBLE BUT I WAS HOPING THAT A CERTAIN CANDIAN DIVA WOULD HAVE WON!

THE HULK HOGAN V. ROCK MATCH WAS EXCELLCENT! I LIKE HOW HOGAN PASSED THE TORCH TO THE ROCK

THE MAIN EVENT WAS GOOD BECAUSE FINALLY A CERTAIN EVIL WOMAN FINALLY GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO HER VIA TRIPLE H!

ALL THE OTHER MATCHES WERE GOOD!

Summary: Immortal Icons meet in an Epic Battle
Review: March 17, 2002 - Where were you when Hulk Hogan wrestled The Rock? I was sitting at home, cheering like a madman. This was the most incredible wrestling encounter I have ever witnessed. These two men, especially a middle aged Hogan, electrified the crowd and the world audience. The two greatest performers in pro wrestling oozed charisma and intensity, providing the audience with a truly historic and unforgettable match. Not since Wrestlemania 3, when a young Hogan met Andre the Giant, has a Wrestlemania match been as unforgettable and historic as Hogan/Rock. It was a joy to watch. The wrestling may not have been the most technicially sound, but it entertained the crowd and the fans at home. Is that what not wrestling is all about? The age of the Internet mark ruined my perspective on pro wrestling, making one believe that the number of close falls, counter moves, and technical merit measures how good a match is. But in reality, the true measuring stick of a great match is the atmosphere it creates. When I was a kid, it was marking out for great moments and characters that made watching a show fun. This was one of those moments; a genuinely special moment. Sure Hogan is over the hill, and he could have easily mailed in the effort and still left with a hefty check. He gave you all he had, even if that is not that much at this point. And for that, the much reviled Hogan should be applauded. He was there in MSG all the way back in 1985, and helped make Wrestlemania the tradition it is. And in 2002, Hulk Hogan showed that despite all the criticism heaped upon him (i.e., backstage manipulator, terrible worker, etc.) he is truly a great legend of wrestling, who inspired us all to embrace the business that made him a star. Sure, the match was no Steamboat-Savage. But, sometimes the moment is all we have, and all we should do is savor it. Hogan-Rock was one of those once in a lifetime moments, and I savored every second of it.

Summary: WWF Wrestlemania 18
Review: What can I say, its the showcase of the Immortals, The Gran Daddy of them all, The One and Only. Wrestlemania has not yet faild us in giving us a quite entertaining show so as this years Wrestlemania returns to Toronto there should be no exception.

This years Wrestlemania Main Event is a match that fans have been waiting for, it is Hulk Hogan Vs The Rock.
Also the Undisputed Championship will be decided as Chris Jericho faces Triple H.
other matches include Stone Cold Steve Austin will be facing Scott Hall of the NWO
Rob Van Dam is going to be against William Regal for the Intercontinental Championship
Ric Flair will battle The Undertaker
The Women Championship will be up for grabs as Trish, Lita and Jazz will all be reaching for it.
There will be a 4 way tag team elimantion match between The Hardyz, The Dudleyz, Billy and Chuck and The APA for the tag team championships.
Booker T is going against Edge
and Kane will face Kurt Angle.

That is all the match that are confirmed as of so far but you can expect DDP to face Christian for the Europian Championship.

I will be one of the lucky fans who gets to participate in this years Wrestlemania as I am sitting third row so hopfully the WWF will put on a good show.

That is all the info I can give as of now but hopfully in the end this PPV will turn out like the others, and thats not a bad thing, its a good thing(DDP Smile)

The Rating of 3 stars has nothing to do with its actual mark since the event has not happened yet.

Summary: nWo 4 Life
Review: WoW! This 18th annual WrestleMania kicked some serious butt! Better than last years. This years W.M. X-8 we see Triple H take on the nWo/WWF champion Y2J in an intense battle like Fully Loaded 2000. We also see the Rock making this his WrestleMania by ending The UnderTaker's 9-0 winning streak at Wrestlemania, yes it's 9-0 because Taker has beaten- jimmy snuka, giant gonzolas, jake the snake roberts, king kong bundy, Diesel, Psycho Sid, Kane, Big Bossman, and Triple H.Any how, this year we see Stone Cold take on Hollywood Hogan in a showdown of eras, the era of rock and wrestling versus the era of attitude. Then we see two former ameuters go at it when Scott Steiner of the nWo faces Kurt Angle. We also see the Tag Team Titles up for grabs when the Outsiders face the A.P.A. in an intense brawl. Then we see Lita go nWo after beating Trish for the title, afterwards she sprays the nWo logo on Trish. We also see a unique Tag Team match that is A Father vs. Son tag team match in which Vince McMahon teams with David Flair as they take on Ric Flair(Whoo!)and Shane McMahon. And the final four matches are, triple threat for I.C. belt in a ladder match-Edge(c) vs. Lance Storm vs. RVD, Booker T vs. DDP, X-Pac defends his newly unified crusierweight belt in a invitational 10 minute time limit crusierweight match which includes Billy Kidman, The Hurricane, Tajiri and much more, and finally Randy Savage vs. The Ultimate Warrior.

Summary: WHAT A LET DOWN!
Review: This was the worst Wrestlemania i have ever seen. There was no effort put into any of the matches (other than flair vs undertaker). Hogan vs Rock was a big letdown in my opinion, they stared at eachother for longer than goldberg vs lesnar, and goldberg vs lesnar was more interesting to watch than this crap yet everyone cheered it. and then there is the main event, now triple h is my favourite wrestler, but his performance was terrible. The only good thing about this match is there is two pedigrees. The only reason this event gets two stars is because of the flair vs undertaker match. That match is something you would have to see to believe, the greatest superplex of all time was in that match.
So do yourself a favour and DO NOT!! waste your money on this crap. If you want a good wrestlemania get either 19 or 20 those were much better than this.
