Rating: Summary: Wrestlemania XIX Review: I thought that this was a great wrestlemania. Most of the matches were great. The best match of the night by far was HBK vs. Y2J. They put on a hell of a show. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle was the second best on my list. For a rookie, Brock did a hell of a job (although his shooting star press looked like hell). Rock vs. Stone Cold was a great match to me as well as the Hogan vs. Mcmahon match. The only down part to this wrestlemania was the pillow fight. This was a 5 star wrestlemania hands down.
Rating: Summary: Best WrestleMania ever!!!!!!!!!! Review: WM XIX is the absoulte best Wrestlemania of all-time. Here are the matches and my reviews of each match (ratings are all out of 5 stars).Cruiserweight Championship Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio Fast, high-paced action, best opener to a pay per-view that I have seen in a while. 4/5 stars Handicap match Undertaker vs. Big Slow (Show) & A-Train Not a bad match at all, but would have been better if Nathan Jones was with the Undertaker the entire match. 3/5 stars Triple-Threat Women's Title Match Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Trish Pretty good match. 2.5/5 stars Triple-Threat WWE Tag Team Championship Team Angle vs. Benoit & Rhyno vs. Los Gurreros Good tag team match. One of better ones that I have seen. 3.5/5 stars Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho Awesome, awesome match. Each man brought out the best in each other. 4/5 stars World Heavyweight Championship Triple H vs. Booker T Great match, each man pushed each other's physical limits. 4.5/5 stars 20 Years in the Making Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon Topped Hogan's WM X8 performance by leaps and bounds. Vinced surprised me with his performance very much (best match on the card). 10000000/5 stars The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin Great spots in this match, must see match. 5/5 stars WWE Championship Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar Excellent match between two of the best technically sound wrestlers to ever step foot into a WWE ring. Brock Lesnar's attempt at a Shooting Star Press shocked me, I did not know he was that athletic. 100/5 stars If you are reading this review, you should not ask yourself "Should I go buy this DVD?" The obvious answer is yes, so go out and buy this excellent DVD.
Rating: Summary: High Voltage Pay-Per-View! Review: This event was certainly the best pay-per-view wwe has ever put on. Anyways, I am going to post my opinions of these awesome matches, and here they are. Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Championship Great opener. Rey shows what he's made of and matt shows why he's an all-out [jack]. Very good match with great high flying moves by Mysterio.**** Undertaker vs. Big Show and A-train Nathan Jones was attacked at some point on heat or sometimes before the match by big show and a-train, so he could not compete in this match, which is a good thing because the match was plain awesome the way it is. Don't get me wrong, Nathan rules, but he needed some work then. Undertaker put on, in my opinion, his best wrestlemania performance to date. Great match. One of a kind classic.***** Trish Stratus vs. Victoria vs. Jazz Womens Championship One of the better womens matches. Trish was the best in this match, and I did not say that because of her looks. Great match, great performers.**** Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Benoit and Rhyno Smackdown Tag Team Championships Surely this could have been a WrestleMania classic, but sadly, it was far from classic. Good moves, Great teams, looked good on paper, but the teams were not in the WrestleMania spirit. Okay match.*** Shawn Micheals vs. Chris Jericho This is THE WrestleMania match. These two battled in a match that no one will ever forget. Great wrestling moves, off the top rope moves, battles in and out of the ring, my favorite match ever.*****+ I refuse to post my opinion of the catfight, and yes, I am a boy, but I said I would post my opinion of the MATCHES, not catfights. Triple H vs. Booker T World Heavyweight Championship Okay match, not the best, but okay. Not as good as many expected. Triple H is just slow these days.*** Hogan vs. McMahon Street fight (20 years in the making) Superb action. Who knew two old guys could put on such a great match! Anyways, a good old fashioned street fight that any wrestling fan would enjoy, especially those who have been a fan of Wwe for 20 years!***** Stone Cold vs. The Rock Part 3 in one of the greatest feuds ever Another great match in the Austin-Rock saga. Not as good as the other two, but still a good one. The Rock puts on Austins vest and wears it through half the match. There's nothing else about this match I can say except, watch it!***** Main Event Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle Undisputed Championship Great "wrestling" match. Better than any Benoit-Angle match. Many submission moves used, and a Shooting Star Press with a brutal landing. Must-see!*****
Rating: Summary: Wrestlemania 19 = 4 STARS Review: Very good PPV. All the matchess were great. The DVD has lots of extras totaling over 7 hrs. of excitment and fun. The only problem with this DVD is that they didn't show the WHOLE SHOW! The cut of the part of the SEXY Ashanti singing "America the Beautiful." SHE IS SO VERY HOT!!!!!
Rating: Summary: two great matches (HBK/Jericho and Angle/Lesnar) Review: Wrestlemania is the most important Pay Per View of any given year. It has the biggest matches and this is what people will be talking about years later. While big things can happen at other events, everything is magnified because it happened at Wrestlemania. Also, because the show is this big, there are extra things going on. Limp Bizkit performed two songs (Rollin, and Crack Addict). I was underwhelmed by both. The Miller Lite Catfight Girls had a pillow fight that ended up involving Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler. This was very boring and a complete waste of time. The most important part of the event, though, is the wrestling...and this is very good. 1. Cruiserweight Championship: Matt Hardy V.1(Champion) w/ Shannon Moore vs. Rey Mysterio I really wish that these two men were given a longer chance to work and show their stuff. This could have been an amazing match and help give the Cruiserweight division a much needed push. Given the length of this match, it was fine. Should have been longer, but that isn't exactly up to me. Mysterio is always a joy to watch and Matt Hardy has one of the more interesting characters that has come around in a while. A short, but solid match. 2. Undertaker vs. A-Train and Big Show Nathan Jones was originally slotted to be the tag team partner for Undertaker, but he was pulled at the last minute. Probably a wise decision since all reports say that Jones is very weak in the ring. Undertaker was 10-0 at Wrestlemania going into this match. A-Train (formerly Albert) and the Big Show could potentially be a real powerhouse tag team (not necessarily a good team, but if used correctly, it could work....). Undertaker worked really hard to pull a good match out of this one, and while it wasn't going to measure up to some of the other matches on the card, it was decent considering it was a match with all big men. 3. Women's Championship Victoria (Champion) w/ Steven Richards vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz The women's division is getting stronger and the ring work is getting better. Trish is the hardest working woman in the division, Jazz is the most talented (she could be wrestling men in athletic matches), and Victoria has a lot of promise (with a very interesting character). While I'd like to see a feud between Jazz and Victoria, Trish is very popular. A Triple Threat match is sloppier by its nature, but this was actually pretty good. The ring work was quite good. The only thing the women's division needs is a better announcer to sell the work. Lawler's constant comments about puppies and the appearance of the women only serves to demean the disvision and makes it difficult to be taken seriously. 4. WWE Tag Team Championship: Team Angle (Champions) vs. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Benoit & Rhyno With Edge out with a broken neck, Rhyno was subbed in to be Benoit's partner. While Benoit should be main eventing, he is thrown in a tag match. He seriously needs to be pushed back up the card again. Ignoring that, we have the match. The rookie team of Team Angle (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) are the champions and while they are still green, they are improving in every match. Their amateur background shows and helps a lot for their ringwork. Los Guerreros (Eddie and Chavo) is the hottest team in the WWE right now. Benoit is incapable of turning in a bad performance. While I would prefer a straight up match, this was just short of stellar. Very good work here. 5. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho This is a dream match. Since returning last year at Summerslam, HBK has had some fantastic matches (in the few that he has been in). Wrestling with a broken back (partially fixed), Michaels is taking a lot of risk, but it is very nice to see him back in the ring. Jericho used to be compared to HBK (and to be honest, they have a lot in common). This was the match of the night, and perhaps should be up for Match of the Year. It is that good. A slow, but deliberate start to the match and Michaels and Jericho try to one-up each other with every move. The match picks up near the end and it is just fantastic! 6. World Championship Triple H (Champion) w/ Ric Flair vs. Booker T Booker T needs to stay at the top of the card on RAW. HHH has been maligned by the Internet Wrestling Community (rightly or wrongly), but this match was not one of his squashes. Following the Jericho/Michaels classic, this match pales in comparison. As a whole, though, this was decent enough. It is one of the weaker matches, but there has been some stellar matches at this event. Booker showed some good work in this match and used a move he hadn't used in some time (the Houston Hangover). Not bad, but nothing special. 7. Vince McMahon vs. Hulk Hogan Say what you will, but this match was pretty entertaining. The reason is because of the real life history between Hogan and McMahon. They've been in business together for a long time and over time there have been some tensions. They have played this perfectly on Smackdown and while this isn't going to be a wrestling classic, it was entertaining. When in the ring, McMahon works very hard for his company. How many other 50 year old owners would allow their faces to be bloody and give a leg drop off a ladder through a table? Not many, I think, but Vince McMahon did. 8. The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin This is their third meeting at Wrestlemania. Austin won the first two meetings. This wasn't the classic confrontation that we've come to expect. Rock has been in and out of wrestling, splitting his time with Hollywood and while he is pure entertainment, some of his luster is gone. Austin is the same way. He is working hurt, nearing 40 years old (seems to be the mark of death for quality wrestling), and hasn't been a fresh character in several years (since the Invasion angle). Still, this is fantasy booking and there is something intriguing about Austin/Rock III. Nothing special, but still entertaining in its own way (Rock as a heel is the most entertaining you'll get outside the ring). 9. WWE Championship: Kurt Angle (Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar This is the glory match, the true main event. This is the match I've been waiting for. This could be destined to be a classic. Two men with extensive amateur backgrounds going at it for the main event. Angle is the best wrestler in the business today. Lesnar is up and coming. This wasn't quite as great as I had hoped, but was the second best match of the night (Jericho/Michaels). Lesnar does not string together his moves as well as he will in 5 years. This still might have been a classic had Lesnar hit the Shooting Star Press. Instead he landed on his head and gave himself a concussion. This lowers the match to just be a great match and one of the best of the year. I love watching wrestling, and I love Wrestlemania. There is just something special about the event. I'm not going to say what is and is not the best ever, but I am perfectly happy with buying this DVD and I'm glad that I have it in my collection. That should count for something.
Rating: Summary: The Showcase of the Immortals Review: This was the showcase of the immortals. Although I was 2-8 in predictions, the show was off the charts. Kurt Angle's match with Brock Lesner was better than expected with Angle's neck being hurt and all that.See Lesner take a disasterous shooting star press and still get up to deliver his 3rd F-5. Jericho and HBK was a classic too. I was there in person,so the adrenaline was pumping and all that. Its cool because the dvd puts mental pictures on disk. Not to spoil the dvd, but Booker T got [a bad deal]. And in edition you get to see Goldberg spear The Rock in seattle. The Emerald City was on its feet for the "greatest spectacle in sports entertainment".
Rating: Summary: GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA EVA Review: This WrestleMania was the best ever, just the crowd who ruined it, they were very quiet. Noisy from time to time though. Rating: Summary: Tops Wrestlemania X-7! Review: WM XIX was truly a great PPV, it featured some of the greatest matches ever seen. Here are some of the more notable bouts: WWE Championship Match Kurt Angle(c) vs. Brock Lesnar ***** -A spectacular match and possibly the greatest WM main-event ever. The WWE Title Match is on par with HBK/Jericho, even though Angle came in with a broken neck and some questioned if he would be 100%. Brock suffered a concussion too, after a botched Shooting Star Press, but amazingly, he was still able to deliver the F-5 to win the WWE Championship. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Rock ***** -These two delivered one amazing match! Then again, who expected anything less? Austin and Rock had a tremendous battle that may have not been on the same page as their WM X-7 clash but it was still a great and full with false finishes and out of the ring brawling. This match will be historical as well because it may be Austin's last match. Street Fight "20 Years in the Making": Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. McMahon ****1/2 -Imagine that, two 50-year olds actually had a better match than Triple H and Booker T. Nobody expected much from this match but they were proven wrong when McMahon and Hogan tore the house down! Vince even brought out a ladder! Not to mention a suprise run-in from Roddy Piper! World Heavyweight Championship Match Triple H(c) vs. Booker T **** -A pretty good match, certainly not as good as it could have been but good none the less. There was even some mat wrestling supplied by "The Game" that is rarely seen nowadays. Kudos to Booker T who delivered an awesome Houston Hangtime. The finish was a little weak though. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho ***** -Tied with Brock/Angle as best match of the night, spectators expected this match to steal the show and did it ever! 20 minutes of great wrestling, both countered hold-for-hold and this is HBK's best match in a while. Plus: Triple-Threat WWE Tag Team Championship Match Charlie Haas(c) & Shelton Benjamin(c) vs Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero vs Chris Benoit & Rhyno Triple-Threat Women Championship Match Victoria(c) with Steven Richards vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match Matt Hardy(c) with Shannon Moore vs. Rey Mysterio ...and plenty of DVD extras!
Rating: Summary: i was there Review: I was there and the show was great. A friend was supposed to record the event so we could see stuff that you can see a hundred feet away, but he forgot...I had the best seats in the house since i sat behind the miller catfight girls :)So i recommend this dvd set to everyone
Rating: Summary: wrestlemania 19 the 2nd best ever. Review: This wrestlemania i really enjoyed. H.B.K vs Jericho i enjoyed a lot. Forget about Edge and Kurt Angle. This was the best athletic match i ever saw and very emotional. The Rock and Austin was a mini version of their wrestlemania 17 match except it was shorter and there was no blood. Hogan and Vince was a sick street fight especially for 2 old guys and very emotional. The ladder part was the best and seeing the return of Piper was a surprise. Kurt and Lesnar was a true man to man, one on one match. Very athletic and the shooting star press was awesome. These will be in the top 10 of 2003.
