Summary: The BEST SPORTS EVENT EVER!
Review: For the record I wasn't there to see it, but I do live near Seattle and will be picking up the DVD in a few days! Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon square off in an exciting Legend vs. Owner match, and Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock square off once again - won't they ever be friends? Guess not!

Other highlights: Trish Stratus makes a welcome come back and gets sweet defeat over Jazz, Shawn Michaels against Chris Jericho, Triple H against Booker T, and the CLASSIC CLASSIC match of Kurt Angle against Brock Lesnar.

GREAT EVENT! BUY IT NOW!!!!! I MUST SAY WRESTLEMANIA 20 IS GOING TO BE A REAL HUMDINGER!

Summary: best mania ever with x-7 following
Review: This was a great mania
*-sucked **-below average ***-average ****-well done *****-must see

Matt Hardy(c) v Rey Mysterio Jr. ****
great performance by rey but this rating wouldn't be as high if it wasn't a cruiserweight match

Undertaker v Albert, Big Show ***
Undertaker did a good performance Albert decent but Big Show's sucked

Trish v Jazz v Victoria(c) *****
I'm rating this judged by women rankings best women match ever

los gureros (wrong spelling) v Chris, Rhyno v team angle(c) ****
best tag team match since last survivor series

Jerico v Shawn ***** can I put a sixth star
this match was without doubt the best match of the year

Booker T v HHH(c) ***1/2
decent but not great

Hulk v Vince ****1/2
not all I thought it would be but best Vince performance ever

Austin v Rock match **** ending *
nice match but wut was up with rock taking 6 seconds to lift him up for the last rock bottom and Austin couldn't even give an elbow to the back of the head to keep the match going and give some life into the best rivalry and by god the best rivalry with no blood and is too short

Angle v Brock *****
Great match almost as good as Jerico and Shawn

Summary: WrestleMania comes to Seattle
Review: Wrestlemania XIX was an improvement on Wrestlemania X8 from 2002, not that X8 was bad. Below I have reviewed the whole event:

INTRO: WWE Superstars reflecting on Wrestlemania, and what it means to them, blah blah blah > "Wrestlemania is the chance to live forever" echoes us into the opening video package, leading to.... #1: Cruiserweight Championship: Matt Hardy (champ) vs. Rey Mysterio:
Good curtain-jerker but a bit too short, about 5 1/2 minutes of high flying moves and pops for Mysterio, including the 619. Overall good. ***

After a pointless Miller LIght Catfight Girls segment, Limp Bizkit plays "ROllin" to an indifferent crowd live at Safeco Field and an indifferent crowd watching at home....

#2: Undertaker vs. Big ShowA-train
This was supposed to be A tag team match, but SHow/Train attacked Nathan Jones before the event started. decent match. ** 1/2.

After another pointless Catfight Girls segment...
#3: Women's Title: Trish Stratus vs. Jazz vs. Victoria (champ)
ok for a women's title match, but basically killing time....**

Coach interviews the Rock.
#4: WWE Tag Titles: Triple Threat Match. Guerrerros vs. Team Angle (champs) vs. Rhyno/Chris Benoit. Pretty good, certainly better than the women's title match. ***

#5: Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
Shawn comes out with his own Pyro-guns,most of which don't work. He gets his own fireworks display from higher rafters of Safeco...once the match starts, it's great. Lots of energy from the crowd. THe pace of the match goes back and forth for 20 minutes. ONe of the best matches on the card. *****

Limp Bizkit performs the official theme of Wrestlemania XIX, "Crack Addict" in case anyone cares. THe crowd certainly doesn't, and with good reason, considering Fred Durst sounds like crap.
The Catfight Girls crap comes to an excrutiatingly pointless zenith as they fight with Stacy Kiebler and Tori Wilson with pillows, and we're treated to Coach's tidy whities. Honestly, WWE's got a roster of about 90 wrestlers, was this really necessary to kill time?

#6: World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (champ) vs. Booker T:
Good match, about 18 minutes long. Good show put on by both HHH and Booker T. ***1/2.

#7: Streetfight 20 Years in The Making: Vince McMahon VS. Hulk Hogan. Great nostalgic match, almost takes you back to the days of kayfabe. Special surprise appearance a rowdy old guy in a skirt..... *****

#8: Stone COld Steve Austin VS. The Rock
Good match. NOthing really stands out though. ***

#9: WWE CHampionship: Kurt Angle (champ) vs. Brock Lesnar:
Great way to end Wrestlemania. Great display of REAL wrestling holds to start the match. WOrth the price of the dvd just to see Brock's botched Shooting Star Press in which he almost breaks his neck. *****

Ends with a video recap set to the official WMXIX theme "Crack Addict" by Limp Bizkit.

EXTRAS:

THere's a lot. WOrld Tag Team CHampionship from Sunday Night Heat, Nathan Jones attacked, mini documentaries on celebrities at WM, the first WM, the undertaker and Hulk Hogan at wrestlemania. Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund giving their thoughts on Hogan vs. McMahon, McMahon training vignettes, Edge's WM media tour, and commercials for WM XIX.
Great Wrestlemania DVD Package.

Summary: Best Mania of all time?
Review: In my opinion, this was the best WrestleMania of all time and the only down side was a dull, lifeless crowd (why do the WWE insist on going places like this, surely they know of places where the crowd get into it like NYC or Chicago?)

Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio (3/5)
What else do you expect from the cruiserweight division but fantastic highflying, fast paced matches. This is one of them.

Undertaker vs. Big Slow/ Albert (3/5)
Neither here no there, not bad but not good either. Just a match to boost 'Taker's ego.

Trish vs. Victoria vs. Jazz (4/5)
The best -bar none- women's match i've ever seen and the best match so far.

Eddie and Chavo vs. Team Angle vs. Benoit and Rhyno (4/5)
Good all round effort, nice fast paced match, one of the best tag matches i can recall seeing.

Shawn Michaels vs. Jericho (5/5)
Remember how people talk about Savage vs. Steamboat or Hart vs. Bulldog or Hart vs. Austin? Add this to the list... exceptional and best Mania match in years.

Triple H vs. Booker T (2/5)
Triple H used to rule, and probably deserved to win this match. But boy did it suck and Booker T jobbed worse than Virgil.

Hogan vs. McMahon (4/5)
A very good Hogan match, one of his best efforts. Much, much better than i expected.

Rock vs. Austin (5/5)
They headlined Mania XV and X7 for a reason, this is why.

Angle vs. Lesnar (5/5)
This is the match that i wanted to see, and the only match that was worthy of a main event spot. But the fans don't get into enough. I don't think they appreciate the purpose and the point this match made but it was amazing.

This or WrestleMania X-Seven must be the best, surely?

Summary: The DVD Is Awesome But The Actual Show Is Not
Review: From begin to end, the Wrestlemania XIX DVD is nothing short of great. However it is the entire DVD that gets 5 stars, not the actual show. Too many people Are giving WM19 5 Stars becuase of DVD Quality and extras. The Wrestling part is not spectactular. Don't get me wrong WM 19 is far from the Worst. Much better than WM's 9,11,1,2,etc. but it is not the classic WM's such as 3,6,17, etc. were. WM 19 falls in the middle somewhere. It was held in a nice big place in Safeco Field in Seattle. The crowd was nice and loud all night. The performance by Limp Bizkit was great as well. The Millerlight Cat girls did a nice job. However, WM's should be graded by their matches not any extra performances at the event and extra included in DVD's, such as Goldberg's Debut following Wrestlemania, Undertaker's WM Perfect Redord, WM 3 Flashback ETC. The match of the Night was The Icon Shawn Michaels Vs. Chris Jericho. This Match was just terrific. Many near falls filled with exitement. It was one of the greatest wrestlemania matches ever seen. The main Event did not dissapoint. Kurt angle Vs. Brock Lesnar was just gret Wrestling for a great end. Hogan Vs. Mcmahon was just a blood bath. They were not really wrestling, they were just battering each other around. The match included a suprise interference from Rowdy Roddy Piper. This match was from two oldies with a lot animosity towards each other. Vince Mcmahon who isn't really a wrestler went up agianst Hulk Hogan (Hogan is washed up) in fight that just seemed like two people who just wanted tw beat the hell out of each other. This match for the most part was not what you call wrestling, but watching them beat the crap out of each other was fun. It was no classic but fun. Rock Vs. Austin III, was not the macth there first two were. It was still a nice match. It is always fun two watch these two go at it with one another. It just did not have the same feel there first two matches had. Even before the match, it makes you ask wonder why are these two fighting for the third time at a Wrestlemania. Both men were not on top of their game anymore. Also, Austin was not Austin in this match. The WWE may have made the Rock finally beat Austin at a Wrestlemania as a punishment for Austin walking out on them months earlier. Undertaker Went 12-0 at WM with a nice win. Also, why were RVD and Kane not in this Wrestlemania, I heard the reason because the WWE thought would not be enought time for a match invloving them. I was glad to see Matt Hardy Pin Rey Mysterio, Mysterio is so overated. The rest was really mediocre and nothing more. The DVD is a great watch but the wrestling part of it is not.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Angle/Lesnar....Rock/Austin
Review: Wrestlemania 19 was probably one of the best Wrestlemania's of all time. Better than the previous years, but nowhere near the success of Wrestlemania 17. Overall, it was a solid show which deserved the name, "Wrestlemania". Below is a list of the matches and their rating based on a scale of 5 stars

Undertaker & Nathan Jones vs. Big Show & A-Train
Bad match, because it turned out to be a handicap match, because Nathan Jones was unable to participate for whatever reason. A-Train and Show dominate Taker for a while then Taker comes back. Pretty bad. *

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
These two stole the show. Amazing match, but not AS good as some critics say and not as good as the WWE says. It was a good match, yeah, but it wasn't as good as Angle/Benoit, or Savage/Flair. It can, however, be considered a classic. Good match by two premier athletes. ****1/2

Street Fight
Hulk Hogan vs Mr. McMahon
Hulk Hogan, once again gets to headline another WM, with his face on the box cover and all. Vince, as always, sells perfectly. Pretty average street fight thought. Nowhere near the classic it was hyped to be. I think Vince is a better wrestler than Hogan! ***

WWE Cruiserweight championship
Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy
Good match, given the time frame they were to perform in. Rey hits all his spots, good selling by Matt. ***

World Heavyweight championship
Triple-H vs Booker-T
It's Triple-H, so it's gotta be good, right? Wrong! This match was extremely lackluster. Very slow, boring and long. Booker-T proved that he can NOT headline pay per views, especially with such a high profile wrestler. Some really good selling by HHH, who actually carried another less talented wrestler to a decent match. **1/2

Women's championship match
Victoria vs Jazz vs Trish Stratus
Frankly, I don't care about women's matches because they're all fillers when it comes to pay per views. These three shouldn't have even been given a place on the card. Nonetheless, it's a short match and it sucks, like all women's matches. *3/4

WWE Tag Team Championship match
Haas and Benjamin vs Los Guerrerros vs Chris Benoit and Rhyno
Good tag team match. Benoit and Rhyno are actually pretty good together. All three teams are very talented so they put on a really good match. ***1/2

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock
THis is the third time these two are meeting at a Wrestlemania. A great background story behind this match. The match is carried out perfectly, even with Austin's bad neck, he tried his best to entertain and tell a great story, and that's exactly what these two did. One HELL of a match. Always one of my favories. ****3/4

WWE Championship match
Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle
Really good match, but not exactly a classic. Probably because of Angle's broken neck, but he still wrestled one hell of a match, and a really good way to cap off a good WM. ****

Wrestlemania will most likely be remembered for Ausin/Rock. The match was spectacular, and had a great story behind it. The rest of the card is pretty solid. Wrestlemania 19 is a great WM and I would urge any WWE fan to give this one a look. It's definately worth it.
