Rating: Summary: highly recommended Review: Great DVD. I really like being able to see some of the best surfers in the world ripping as well as great spots going off. I love that DVD gives us instant access to any section of a movie. I keep repeating the Kevin Connelly section. I can't believe how long he rides the nose. All his footwork is amazing. The Joel Tudor at Cardiff was also a study in style. Seeing Cardiff going off left me dreaming of perfect long lines. The Rincon, Malibu and Swamis sections also added to those fantasies. My only problem with this movie was I don't get to surf waves that good all the time, but that's true of all good surf movies. I find myself constantly repeating the sections on CJ Nelson , Jimmy Gamboa, Dane Peterson, and Oliver Parker to study their styles. The wipeouts and the giant Wedge sections were brutally funny . The remote control surfers was pretty wild too...I want one. I should also mention how good Julie Cox and the kid phenomenon Christian Wach surf. I highly recommend Longboard Fever to anyone looking for an all action surf movie.

Review: If you want to see a movie that will get you our of your chair and want to hit the water, Longboard Fever is it......The music is soulful and upbeat with great footage of classic Cali breaks; makes me want to jump on a plane and hit the water. Rich Lehrer has scored another winner! JT

Rating: Summary: Surfing Under a Microsope Review: Richard has built a legacy of cool down-and-dirty surf videos (dvds). These are no BS collections of quality surfers, both known and less-known, doing what they do best and having a good time. What's exceptionally cool is that much of the footage also gives you a chance to soak in classic California surf spots. This video is another great evolution in his vedeo line. Appreciation for longboarding gets no better. Get inspired to surf and listen to some great music by The MiGs, The Insect Surfers, Spooky Pie, The Black Widows and more ...
Rating: Summary: Not what I thought it would be... Review: This movie was okay but I definitly thought it was going to be better..the music was boring and redundant and there were only a few chapters on the DVD that were interesting to watch..overall I was disappointed with this movie.
Rating: Summary: Monotone Review: Very dissappointing film. There was an underlying monotone from the reverbed drenched guitars to film angles and editing. There is no narration and contrary to Jack Johnson films, the simplicity of this production just can not support such a dynamic technique. I am in fact a longboarder and when I am not in the water I at least enjoy a good film to take me there. This left me on the sofa, guitar in hand with the sound turned OFF! Generally I play with the soundtrack but this bored me to tears! Check out September Sessions even if you are a longboarder. Sorry, but I feel a bit taken.
