Summary: Excellent system
Review: I really like this system that I got for Christmas. The sound is excellent, the remote is excellent (you can control almost everything from it), the radio is good, and everything else is good. It is really hard for me to say anything bad about it. Another convienent feature of this item is the RCA audio jacks in the back, which I can hook up to my TV for excellent sound. This product is the one you are looking for if you are in the market for a reasonably priced mini-system.

Summary: Nice Stereo, Nice Price
Review: I've been very pleased with my purchase of this Panasonic stereo system. A wide range of equalization settings and the ability to manually set EQ provides for a wide range of listening options. The timer feature comes in handy for me, as I usually tape a morning radio show while I sleep to listen to later in the day. If I have a complaint with this system, it's that the CD tray can take a bit of time to switch between slots (i.e. 30 seconds or so when switching from one disc to another one three slots away). But given that the CDs stack inside the system, (therefore negating the need for a "turntable" style changer) which in turn allows the stereo to take up less space, that's something I can live with.

Summary: Decent unit if you can get a good deal
Review: It sounds really decent, though you'll have to adjust the bass settings for different songs, because sometimes it can get kind of boomy. The only thing I couldn't figure out was if it had balance control or not (I don't think it does.. but maybe I'm wrong). Other than these couple things, I'm really happy with the system, and I'd buy it again in a second if I could.

Summary: Great sounding system!
Review: The sound from this stereo is absolutely amazing with 75W per channel RMS (I'm not sure what the max is...) and three way speakers. The highs are crystal clear and the bass is strong, but I agree with the other reviewer that said the bass can get boomy. It will knock stuff off of nearby furniture....(that's not necessarily a bad thing unless your neighbors tend to complain...). There are several standard equalizer presets such as heavy, disco, soft, hall, etc. and a really neat Acoustic Image equalizer which lets you 4-way adjust between soft-sharp (for the high sounds) and light-heavy (for the bass). Or you can manually adjust the settings to your taste.

It has 12 radio presets for each band which are very easy to set and dual auto-reverse cassete decks. You can control just about all of the functions from a small remote control.

The reason I gave only 4 stars is for one reason. You have to stop the CD-changer whenever you want to change discs! It has a 5-disc CD-Changer with the normal random, repeat and program play and you tray load the CDs one at a time. It seems to take a long time for the door to open, so it especially bothers me that I have to listen to silence while waiting...

In summary, this is a great bookshelf system with eye-catching looks, impressive sound, all the features you need (tape, CD, radio, and AUX input). If you don't have the need to listen while you change CDs then this is a perfect system for anyone.

Summary: WOW!
Review: This stereo is awesome. I have been looking for something to replace my old boom box for years and when I saw this I immediately checked it out. Thsi stereo has wonderful bass but it's not so overpowering you can't hear anything else. The clear sound is excellent and the two speakers (set up at correct angles) give the perfect surround sound. If you want to you may want to get a couple more speakers but you don't miss to much if you decide not to buy them. All in all this is a terrific stereo for half the price of one that's not even as good!
