Description:
The JVC MX-J900 mini system is a serious little performer. Ideal for any situation that requires powerful sound from a small package, this biamplified system contains a 3-disc tray-style CD changer, dual cassette decks with auto reverse and music scan, and an AM/FM tuner--all using a minimum of shelf space. Each main speaker is powered by 50 watts, while the 7.875-inch subwoofers receive 150 watts each. In addition, each subwoofer has its own volume control, and JVC's four-step Active Bass Extension augments low frequencies. A one-bit digital-to-analog converter, an optical digital output, manual equalization with three presets, and JVC's Hyper Surround system place an array of surround simulations at your fingertips. This is a great system to make tapes with too. Thanks to its tape editing functions, CD synchro-start recording, and the play exchange feature, you can change two discs while recording from another. The MX-J900 can handle 32 tracks of programming. You'll notice the aggressive, high-power design as soon as the MX-J900 is fresh out of the box. Engaging the demo mode takes you on a fully guided tour of the MX-J900's sonic options. Included with the system are a full-function remote control, an auxiliary input, and the handy Compu Play feature, which automatically starts playing the CD or tape you were listening to before the MX-J900 was last turned off. Finally, the four-color fluorescent display makes every function a snap.
