Summary: It's alright.
Review: I wouldn't say the quality of this system is superb or anywhere near the highest. In my opinion it is nothing but a basic stereo system with a few fancy additions. The sound is normal for a stereo within this price range, really there isn't a thing here worth bragging about.
Yes it is nice to have a system which holds six CD's though I have encountered quite a few times of CD's simply not playing than deciding to accept a CD and playing normally. Nothing unusual there. I still own and enjoy listening to cassettes, and this system has a double cassette player. I was let down once I discovered it would not play through and flip over a cassette to the other side tp continue playing. I also was not happy with the options being so different on the two cassettes, one is only a playback while the second has rewind/forward/record options available. The playback side became annoying and eventually useless to me. The cords for the speakers are short and don't allow for much moving about. The control is nice and thankfully the display can be turned off while the system is still on. So why only two stars?
After a little over one year my system just died.
There was no reason for it, I moved it to another room which was not an unusual, plugged it back in and to my surprise it would not turn on. I tried multiple power outlets and still nothing. It had not been bumped or dropped, it had been moved maybe three times since I have owned it. I expected it to last longer than a little over a year, especially well cared for as it was. I recently contacted the manufacturer regarding this and have yet had a response.

Summary: Sharp CDBA3100 Compact Stereo
Review: This shelf system is pretty nice for several reasons. One of the positive points of this is that you can insert cds into the other slots while listening to another cd at the same time, unlike many other shelf systems where you have to stop everything to reload new disks. When looking at it in the store on display, you wouldn't think it was that big, but actually placing it on top of your entertainment center, it looks pretty big. Another nice feature are the different settings such as Jazz, Rock, Pop, etc that you can indicate based on your preference of sound. A low point may be that you have to wait a little for the system to think about which cd slot and which song to play, and it makes a little noise while doing so. I got this as a gift, and overall, I'm happy with it so far.

Review: Well, honestly I did not know anything about this stereo system till my first year at college. A friend of mine roommate had this stereo system. At the time I owned an Aiwa Stereo System which I thought was the best brand out till I heard this Sharp Stereo system. The bass on this thing is CRAZY!!! I yet to turn up the stereo to MAX...AT 20-23 the volume is high enough to fill the room and vibrate many walls! True High Quality Sound! The fact that this thing can hold 6 CD's is interesting also. The color Graphics on this stereo system are bright and catchy (would catch anyone's attention). The Speakers are definetly unique with the SUBWOOFERS on the side and also mini speakers on the side of the woofer. Now what you need to know about this Stereo System: PROS SOUND, FUNCTIONS, LOOK, GRAPHICS, BASS, EQUALIZERS, 6 CDS, DEMO, AND SIZE CONS SPEAKER CONNECTION WIRES ARE TOO SHORT, MAKES A LITTLE NOISE TO CHANGE CD's AND WHEN (YOU) TURN OFF THE STEREO SYSTEM. THE TURNER SOMETIMES WORK DEPENDING ON WHAT ROOM YOUR STEREO IS IN OR WHERE THE ATTENNA IS SET, SO THAT'S A BIG LOW OTHER THAN THAT ITS A REAL COOL SYSTEM...WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY! KEY POINT...SET EQUILIZER TO ROCK AND TURN X-BASS ON...SOUND IS
PERFECT! IF YOU GET THIS STEREO...TRUST ME YOU WILL LOVE IT!
