Summary: Just Plain Good
Review: I have the old version of the Panasonic SC-AK77 Shelf System and it has the best sound available in a shelf system and everyone knows about the CD changer, the way its slow, loud, and did I say slow. I was looking for a newer system because I listen to alot of music and burn my own Cds. I always look in the electronics section in Target and other stores to see if any new systems have came out. And when I saw this system I knew it was something new so I had to listen to it, and to tell the truth right when I turned it on I knew it was a good system and I turned off and the other systems because they wasn't near as good. And now I want to replace my, ever loved, Panasonic but the one flaw I saw with the Philips FWC550 was that it didn't have Dolby Pro Logic like the Panasonic SC-AK77 and there is a wattage difference but overall I think Panasonic's got alot of work to do to keep up with their new competitor because I can't wait to see if they come out with a bigger version that will completely out do the more advanced Panasonic SC-AK77.

Summary: Loud and Clear
Review: I honestly like this sterio. With all the sound options you can make tapes and the older analog cd's sound great. You can play newer digital cd's and be over come by the awsome reproduction. It is powerfull enough to not even be in the same room to enjoy. For this price it has a lot to offer. More than what you would think. A quality made product. Just try it out and then you will see what I'm saying.:~)

Summary: Hottest deal on Earth!!
Review: I just bought the third version of this stereo (FWC-788)and it was astounding. The bass on it was terrific. I only had it on 20 and it rattled my windows and shook the speakers off of the table. I like the design and the flashing colors. It has everything i wanted and needed, it has 3-cd changer, am-fm tuner, cassette decks, alot of bass, 280 watts+140 acoustic bass energy, 6 preset equilizers, 6 virtual ambience controls. I had done alot of research on about 200 stereos before i bought this one. I had to pick between this one and the JVC ggatube. I picked this one because its user friendly and cool looking, plus philips is my trusted audio company an because the jvc's are complete junk. And i would also like to say that i maxed it out when i got it, no harmonic distortion. Now go out and buy yourself one today before thay get sold out.

Summary: heh...nice
Review: I love this thing. It is a very good CD player, so far. I have no complaints, other then the thig could have a few more speakers. Im willing to pay a little more for more speakers. More speakers look good. Makes it look more powerful. Excellent player for the price though...

Summary: Phenomenal Sound in a Compact Unit
Review: I searched and searched for an affordable bookshelf system, comparing features, cost, and most importantly, sound. After listening to many Sony, Aiwa, and Sharp systems, I stumbled upon this unit. At first, I was turned off by the appearance, but once I listened to the unit, I was blown away. This system sounds better than many full-size component systems. The quality of sound is magnificent with virtually every music genre. Thundering bass and crisp, clean highs add to a wonderfully spacious sound, even with the speakers located directly next to the unit. This system produces door-rattling bass whether you are listening to rock, rap or classical music. You have to listen to this system to believe it.

There is a wonderful timer feature that can serve as an alarm clock, allowing you to wake to the radio station, cassette or compact disc of your choice. There is also a sleep timer that will shut the unit off at a designated time so you can drift off to sleep to your favorite compact disc. There are auxiliary inputs so you can plug in a CD-R unit or your DVD player and burn CDs or enjoy rich surround sound for your home theater system.

I enthusiastically recommend this system to anyone looking for high dollar sound from an affordable compact unit.

Summary: Just Plain Awesome Sound for a Shelf System
Review: I was actually looking at [...] and checking out the sounds of several systems when I finally found that this one was the best.
And when I say the best, I mean the best. It BLEW ME AWAY!!! The max sound is pretty cool too, so if you're thinking about this system I would say get it. I have never really been a fan of Phillips but this stereo is outrageously great!!! This is all I can say about it. Really it is a great sound system.):-)
