Summary: Amazingly clear sound!
Review: My husband and I looked and listened to just about every Shelf Sized Stereo system on the market at more then 4 stores. This one, by far, is the best. We tried them all out with Jazz, Reggae, Classical and Pop CD's- This system above all the others, has the sharpest, cleanest, clearest sound. None of these systems let you adjust the bass or treble, they all have preset settings such as extra bass, clear, pop, jazz and a rich sound option. This was the only unit in where all the optional settings sounded wonderful. We like Clear the best with the Super Sound turned off, but any EQ setting you choose will sound equally fantastic! We bought our unit in Black at Target.

Also the sound is simply amazing! All the instruments come through so clear and this was the only system with sharp clean voices. All the others sounded staticy with the voices through the tweeters. It has just the right amount of bass, whereas most of the other systems (Phillips and Sony in particular) went over board on the bass resulting in distorted sound.
The FM reception is very clear as well. I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for the best sound at a remarkable price. I suggest you go out and listen to as many systems as you can with several CD's and see and hear for yourself!

Summary: great value for the money!
Review: This compact stereo sounds as sharp as it looks. We wanted a compact system to fit in our family room, which is open to the kitchen. It provides a powerful and clear sound, at both high and low volume. The speakers separate and have long enough wires to space them out. The remote control is compact and easy to operate. The display is clear to read and easy to operate. Having a 5 cd changer is great, as well as the dual cassette player. The cds 'drop' into the machine, making it easy to avoid having my 3 year old playing with them, as opposed to a carousel style. I enjoy the preset bass/treble controls, but my husband would have preferred manual controls, which it does not offer. For around [$$$], this Panasonic offers a great value from our 'favorite' electronics company. We love it!!
