Rating: Summary: Good economy system Review: I've had this for about a week now. I have played several CD's and listened to the radio for a good period of time. 1) Sound quality is good untill you turn it up more than about 2/3's of the way and then it distorts. However at 2/3's the volume level is enough for me. 2) CD changer is noisy. 3) Hook up is easy. 4) It takes a little while to master the operation of this unit but after reading the manual and playing around a bit it's not complicated. In conclusion this unit will not replace my Onkyo/Polk system but whwen you consider that I spent >$3000 on that system and $250 on this one why would it. Good sound untill cranked too high, one of the few systems with a seperate powered sub, and nice features I would recommend this system to anyone looking in this price range.
Rating: Summary: AK610 - Stay away from this garbage! Review: This player is a piece of junk. It skips while playing CDs, and has been doing so since day 1. Customer service is terrible as well. I have a $225 piece of junk. Don't buy it.
Rating: Summary: The best Review: This system can out do any system that is competes with. The big 120 watt sub will shake the room its in and if you turn it up, the house. The woofers can produce more bass then any other regular speaker and you can still shake the room without the sub on. My favorite part of the stereo as you can see is the sub. It is very powerful and has a very good sound to it. If you want to compare the JVC to this Panasonic theres no competition. the JVC subwoofers have no power and sound poorly. they can't nearly produce the sound of the panasonic sub. If you shut off the sub on the JVC if you can, the regular 3-inch speakers will produce nothing. they put big cages on small speakers to make them look big. at least with this one you can shut off the sub and still get a good sound from the woofers. the tweeters work with the mid-ranges to produce the high sounds. the JVC can't do that. Overall this is the best system you can buy even if it doesn't seem like it. Total watts mean nothing and the panasonic has the power to outdo and outperform any system.
Rating: Summary: ROCKING SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This thing is a great system. The CD player stopped working one time but i unplugged it for 5 seconds and then plugged it back in and its worked fine ever since. The system can play clear even at 18 out of a possible -4 decibals. But set it at 52 and i can play it without annoying the rest of the family. Definately a 5 star system.
