Summary: Forget the Shuffle
Review: I ordered this product and received it in 2 days - free shipping! Service was outstanding. The product itself is fantastic. The sound is clear at low and high volumes. It is compact and the speakers are impressive in both appearance and sound. The only complaint I have is the loud shuffle sounds made when you turn on the system and as it changes from one CD to another. If Panasonic addresses the noise they will have a perfect bedroom shelf unit. Quite worth the money.

Summary: Exceptional unit for the money.
Review: I received this as a Christmas gift and I have been very happy with it thus far. The sound is very good and will get louder than I would ever want to play it; all without any distortion. The controls are straight forward and easy to use as is the remote. The radio has great reception on both AM & FM.

It appears to be very well constructed which is what I have come to expect from Panasonic. They always do a good job at providing a quality product. I have electric razors, juicers, air purifiers and other items made by them and I am always happy with my purchases. I especially like the fact that it has soft footpads on the bottom of the main unit and speakers. This allows me to place it directly on my dresser without having to worry about it scuffing the finish.

Some have commented on the CD changer being noisy and I agree with this. It does seem to be a minor tradeoff but I do not know how they could make it more quiet and keep the price where it is. I was also suprised that there are no controls to adjust the bass & treble. Panasonic gets around this by providing several pre-selected sound modes. I find that they did a pretty good job at this and the auto-enhanced setting sounds just the way I would like it to.

Pros:
Fantastic sound
Speakers that can handle all of the power
Easy to use controls
Soft footpads
Easy to use remote
Good radio reception
Quality construction
Attractive

Cons:
Loud CD changer
Slow CD changer
No separate bass, treble adjustments

Overall - I think anyone would be happy with this unit.

Summary: One of the best choices for MP3-CD microsystems.
Review: I searched high and low for 2 months finding the right microsystem for my office and this is it. This unit has surprisingly nice sound with superb clarity. The eq settings are very useful in lowering the bass so you dont have thumping bass coming from your office. Also offers manual Bass/Treble adjustments. A real plus is that the system reads MP3 ID3 Tags and scrolls the album/song title for MP3-CDs. Plays all ranges of MP3 quality beautifully.

Summary: Looking for a class system at a good price.
Review: I was looking for a bookshelf system that had wooden speakers, and good sound. I'm not trying to blast the neighbors. The SC-PM19S is perfect. I think the speakers are real cherry wood, or at least I'm fooled! The speakers sound great and have settings for a variety of uses such as voice, music, and soft listening. The 5 disc CD is very cool, with each tray stacked one upon the next. The 15 pre-sets are plenty and the reception on AM and FM radio just fine in my city. The Unit itself is a bit large, but the speakers are compact and should fit most any shelf. I say buy it!

Summary: Great item
Review: I'm no pro regarding electronics, so this review is for other amateurs like me. I'm really pleased with this purchase. This little unit has a big, rich sound that fills up my large office. It has lots of features, which aren't too tough to figure out. When I ordered the unit, I didn't even realize it plays MP3 files directly, which means you can put more than 200 songs on a CD. The remote works nicely, even at an angle to the unit.

Summary: Darn good... especially considering the price
Review: Lots of features on this guy. It had the most features and power of any unit I looked at in the $130 range. 5 discs... 140 watts.... MP3... High-end look wood and silver design.

Unit has some good power. High sounds are crisp and clear. Bass is powerful and fairly deep, but can be a bit muddled at times.

Equalizer presets are a very nice feature. The Super Surround setting really spacializes the sound quite well.

Highly recommended for the price.

Summary: I Love It!
Review: There are several things about this system that I am really happy about. The sound is just wonderful. I like that I can switch between different equalizer settings like "Heavy" for really feeling the bass and "Soft" which makes the music settle into background music with no sharp edges.

Another thing I really like is the user interface. If I want to play a tape, I just put one in, and the system automatically switches to "Tape Mode". No more of the useless extra step of manually switching modes. In addition, if the system is in tape mode and I want to play a CD, I can just press the "CD play" button, and the CD starts. If I already set up the CD player for "random play", the system remembers, and begins random play.

Plus the system just looks good.

This is replacing a mediocre sound system that I have had for quite a while, so my excitement for this system may be just because ANYTHING is better than what I had. But I don't think so. I really like the sound, the look and the easy interface.
