Summary: Boring, and a bad influence, considering its PG
Review: The alchohol scene had no place at all in a PG movie. Some underaged friends of mine intentionally mimicked the lemon-drop shooters scene, to a degree that almost lead to the death of one of them. The movie is boring, predictable, and irritating. Both Moira's character and her trainer have got to go.

The Redwings had the right idea but rejecting the character, played by DB Sweeney in the movie. We all should have rejected the entire movie.

Summary: very good
Review: I'm not accustomed to watch 'chick flicks' and figure skating, but I must say that this is a great movie. Part of what makes it so good is the brilliant acting and chemistry between the actors. One of the few movies I have been forced to watch that I actually enjoyed.

Summary: I Think That This Is The Best Movie Ever!!!
Review: Just to let all you people know. Even people who never watch movies more than once are eventually drawn in by this beautiful love story and will watch it again. I guarantee it. If any of you customers read my review, trust me, buy this video form amazon and get the soundtrack too. You won't regret it.

Summary: The best movie of this century
Review: This movie was picture perfect, and the characters were great. This movie was sp interesting to me cause I am a Figure skater. This movie shows how hard it is to do, and what it it all about. This is my favorite movie.

Summary: Might well be the most inspiring romance ever.
Review: The Cutting Edge is a classic example of how a low-budgeted and simple movie can turn into a great and inspiring experience, given proper actors and well written script. All the Titanic fans out there, think Jack and Rose are the best? Watch this one... The chemistry between Doug and Kate is excellent and both actors give very magnetic performances. This is a great date movie, unless of course you fall in love with Doug or Kate (depending on your gender), which is actually quite likely... If not for anything, everybody should watch this film at least for the ending, which is sooo beautiful. I think it was wise to stop the story right there; it leaves everybody wondering what Kate and Doug will do then. The Cutting Edge can well be the best romance I've ever seen. What is most amazing about this movie is how it holds on repeated viewings. I have watched it at least 20 times and still can't get enough of it. All the filmmakers out there: The Cutting Edge shows you how to make an excellent movie on a low budget (no special effects required!).

Summary: Sassy romantic comedy at its best!
Review: This movie is more than just a romantic comedy. It has wit and drama. It makes you laugh and cry, and makes you want to smack some of the characters in the face. The acting is incredible, especially considering the no-name (at the time) actors doing the acting!

Summary: An AWESOME cast makes this viewable over and over again
Review: The Cutting Edge follows the story of a world class figure skater: KATE MOSLEY;played by MOIRA KELLY (CHAPLIN)who is at the proverbial end of her career unless she can find a partner that will put up with her fiery temper tantrums and her (at times) acid tongue. Enter DOUG DORSEY played by D.B.SWEENEY(MEMPHIS BELLE). Doug is a recently benched ice hockey player who after suffering peripheral vision loss due to ill tempered opponents (excessively slamming him against the boards)in a prior hockey game, finds out that his hockey career as a possible professional is through but Kate Mosley's coach; Anton Pamchenov(SIC)played by Ron Dotrice thinks that Doug just could be what Kate needs in a partner to grab a chance at Olympic Gold.

Kate is a spoiled little rich lady whose dad; Jack Mosley, portrayed by Terry O'Quinn is a well off tycoon and owns a mansion with private ice rink. Doug is a hard core, crude (sometimes downright crass) hockey player who worked for what he had (get the picture?) and when these two meet; the clash of two personalities make for an entertaining, witty, story that will make you laugh and cry, frown and groan. A real tear jerker at the end. This film has everything anyone could possibly ask for in entertainment. There are some suggestive scenes (hence only 4 1/2stars) but they establish the characters that make this such a success. I am not the type to watch a movie over and over but This is the exception. Buy It, Rent it, borrow your friends' and then buy it. You'll also want to watch it over and over again.

Summary: A Great Story
Review: A washed-up hockey star with focus and stamina, a conflicted ice queen in need of focus--mix together into a great story of two opposites fighting each other while passion boils under the surface. This movie makes it on several levels: Sports, teamwork, love story, character development, rising from defeat, coming to terms with self. One of the best movies ever made.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My favorite old standby
Review: Figure skating, romance, and snappy dialogue--who could ask for more? This movie always makes me laugh, even during the nth viewing. I watch it whenever I'm feeling blue.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you love skating and comedy, this is for you.....
Review: This movie makes me laugh every time I watch it, and that has been too many to count! Yeah, the theme is overdone and the writing is sometimes trite, but what fun! Besides, the skating is pretty adquate for a movie....beats the heck out of Ice Castles!
