The Panasonic PV-C2080 20-inch combination TV/VCR provides an easy way to watch and record your favorite TV programs and videos. Thanks to the PanaBlack picture tube, the contrast-degrading effects of ambient light are reduced for crisp, precise video. This model also has an FM radio with auto-scan, as well as an alarm clock and a timer that can be set for up to 90 minutes and will automatically shut off the television if you fall asleep. It can also turn the TV/VCR on as a wake-up call. Outfitted with wireless audio, the Panasonic PV-C2080 creates an instant home theater. The FM receiver allows you to send the audio of your movie or show through the speakers of your home stereo system without connecting any wires. The Panasonic PV-C2080 has a number of additional useful playback features, such as MTS reception, which stands for Multichannel Television Sound, a technology that allows reception of the analog stereo soundtracks offered on current films and TV broadcasts. The MTS system is capable of delivering a second audio program (SAP), which lets a TV station present programs and movies translated into another language). VCR Plus+ lets you easily record programs by keying in their respective numerical codes, listed in TV Guide and other program listings. Index search allows you to locate specific places of your movie or taped program, while program end search is especially helpful for those tapes that have several shows and movies on them.
