Rating: Summary: Why spend more Review: I dont know what I'm missing but I have no idea why anyone would spend more money than this for a VCR. This does everything I could think of (well no VCR+ - but do you really need that?). It is small, plays great, is quiet and has nice sound. If you need a VCR just buy this one and be done with it.
Rating: Summary: Great Deal.. Review: I wish I had bought 2... This is a great deal.. This is the 5th VCR I have bought in the last 15 years and is by far the best. All missing features, compared to higher priced VCR's, are not needed. One touch recording, auto tracking, timer, are simple to use. 4 Head picture is great. My advice.. get 2.. hook em and do some dubbing.. or just get a 2nd one for the basement. High quality, low price..
Rating: Summary: where is it? Review: I'd give it more than 1 star if the great 'zon actually shipped it to me. As it is, I'm, still waiting (three weeks after I ordered it, and somehow now "out of stock"). So one star for now. Ta-ta.
Rating: Summary: I'd look elsewhere! Review: The plus sides to this vcr in my opinion is size(small) and lightweight. You get a clear picture when a video is in. Other than that, I wasn't happy with it. There is no clock, the control is pretty cheap. I still can't find the pause button, if it even has that feature. Didn't find the manual very informative either. Well I plugged the tv antenna to the vcr, and know it looks worse. Everytime I wanna put the movie on pause, I got to turn it off. If it's up to me, I tell you get your money and spend a little bit more on another model. It will be worth it. Everything about the vcr is very confusing. Goodluck on your purchase.

Rating: Summary: Amazing value! Review: This deal is just too good to pass up. The Samtron SVG-92 VCR provides excellent video and audio quality for a price that will make you suspicious... but fear not - despite its bargain basement price, this is a truly capable VCR. One of its nicest, most useful feature is the 400x rewind. I'll admit that I didn't appreciate this feature until I used it a couple times - and it comes in really handy when you have some friends over and everyone is waiting for you to rewind the movie. In my informal "bencharks," it's not quite 400x, but nevertheless you actually can rewind an entire full-length movie in about 40 seconds. One-touch recording is also very handy, which brings me to my main point about this VCR - while it doesn't have a bunch of the extras present on much more expensive VCRs, fortunately the features Samtron chose to omit are for the most part the type of features you never actually use, and the ones they choose to include are the really useful ones that you find yourself smiling about every time you use this product. I also find this VCR to be much quieter than others I've used - I nice touch. While to my taste it is not the most attractive looking product, I would much prefer to spend the money I saved on something other than good looks (and it's not bad - just not great). The quality is good, and it seems to treat my VHS tapes very gently, which I really appreciate. I'll admit that the "HQ video circuitry" that supposedly improves picture quality by improving details is probably not something that you're going to notice ("Man, check out this new VCR's amazing picture quality!") but in any case, the picture quality is just fine. Of course, for a much superior picture you will consider a DVD player, but for those of us who want an affordable, reliable, easy-to-operate and well-designed VCR for those old tapes we have and times we want to record something, this deal is just too good to pass up.
Rating: Summary: Not a bad 2nd VCR Review: This one really does rewind fast! I have not had any problems with this VCR at all. I own one myself, and I just bought one for my daughter for her birthday, and I'm sure she'll like being able to rewind it so fast. Now she doesn't have to wait as long to see her favorite video.
Rating: Summary: Allright. Review: We bought this VCR and have been using it since 2001, to add to the other comments, the feature I like the best, is you don't have to hit Power-off to get a program recorded, any VCR I owned previously would not do so unless it was turned off. This one, it goes as long as you're not playing a tape or already recording something. Good for living with people without a appreciation for electronics, or a basic understanding, basically it'll record as long as you have enough room on the tape. Believe me, this is important livingwith somebody who's scared of the Cd player.
Rating: Summary: AKS Review Review: Well...This was the first time I was gonna buy a VCR and was very apprehensive. I was looking for deals without much knowledge about what to buy. Then I found this VCR here and looked at the specification...though I must confess I dint had much idea. Now that I've used it, I really feel that was a good deal. The product is simple to operate and it has most of the features that one needs. The looks are simple. I really liked its rewind speed. A 120 minute cassette rewinds in one minute. WOW!! The picture quality is excellent, sharp with auto functioning picture improvement. One touch recording makes it easier to operate. The remote is also easy to operate. So I would say its a worth a deal to stick to.
