Rating: Summary: Manufacturers Defect Review: I will never buy a JVC product again! My VCR quit working one day while not even turned on and JVC service wanted to charge me a $40 diagnostic fee plus another $135 to fix the problem. The units are defective due to excessive integrated circuit heat which causes stress failure in the control module. It has nothing to do with power surge failure as is evidenced by the internal fuse which stays intact. JVC engineering has done a great job creating defective products which they will not back. My advice: no matter how cheap they get - spend your money on another brand!
Rating: Summary: There giving away these JVC VCR's at Sears Review: Just bought the JVC VCR at Sears,along with my new JVC TV.There almost giving away these VCR's.Everyone wants DVD players,so you can almost buy a new VCR for under 70bucks,with everything you can imagine on them.I remember the first VCR's in the 70's that cost over oneThousand,with no remote.I guess VCR's will become the 8track tape player in the future.
