Rating: Summary: I almost kept this one. Review: I returned the PV-9450 for the following reasons:1) Slow FF and RW and 2) No Tape Counter (major drawback!!)
Rating: Summary: Good deal Review: It's the "Blockbuster special": if all you're going to do is rent movies, this thing's great. One quirk: no RCA cables in the box and the VCR.
Rating: Summary: Decent value for the money, BUT!...... Review: Just bought the PV-9450 and now having it for two weeks I can say it is a fine player / recorder, the picture is sharp and clear as is the sound, I like the clean look of the vcr also, now the BUTS!... My main complaint, no pause button on the vcr, if I go out of the room I have to find and use the vcr remote just to pause the tape. The remote is very clumsy, and hard to read the gold on gray button descriptions in low light. I also feel that a cd button should be added. But all in all a fine product.
Rating: Summary: Manual Tracking Adjustment feature Review: Model 9450 still gives the user the capability to use manual tracking adjustment on top of automactic tracking. That was the most important feature I was looking for. Most other brand VCRs shows "jumping" pictures on old EP tapes. 9450 is truely exceptional within its price range.
Rating: Summary: It's a combination of Excellent Quality, Value, and Price. Review: My husband and I are completely satisfied with this VCR! By the way, Wal-Mart charges more on their website for exactly the same model (Panasonic PV-9450).
Rating: Summary: Panasonic quality Review: Panasonic continues to produce some of the best vcrs you can buy (still made in JAPAN)(better workmanship)i have been a long time panasonic fan, this one will be my 4th panasonic vcr, which all still work perfect.the pv-9450 is a best buy you cant go wrong with panasonic.
Rating: Summary: EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS Review: The picture quality is better than my JVC 4 head Hi Fi VCR.The stereo dbx sound is flawless. The remote works quicker than any Ihave ever used. It records stereo movies from Showtime and HBO to tapes that equal factory videos. Still pictures are completely noiseless, as in search and reveiw. The only complaint I have is that the so called lighted remote is not really lighted. I own eight VCR's and this is the least expensive one I have purchased. And yet it is just about the best.
Rating: Summary: Kid friendly with grown-up picture quality Review: The straightforward design of the front panel have made this a winner for my two- and six-year olds. It was a snap for them to learn the basics -- play, stop, rewind, eject -- and the picture quality is first-rate. The remote's a real dud, however. Clunky and cluttered.
Rating: Summary: Overall Good Value! Review: This VCR is extremely well designed and is the lightest VCR Ihave ever handled! The PV9450 makes quite a bit of noise whenplaying/recording a tape (more than other VCRs I've used). Regardless of that I would recommend this piece of equipment to anyone looking for a good VCR at a reasonable price.
Rating: Summary: But will it last? Review: We have a 9450 and have enjoyed it so far. However it is barely out of warranty and just pooped out.
