An onscreen programming system with visual icons guides users through every step of the recording process with point-and-click simplicity. One-touch recording takes the guesswork out of taping any movie or broadcast. The Toshiba W708 has a number of additional useful playback and recording features, such as MTS/SAP reception. MTS, or Multi-channel Television Sound, delivers analog stereo soundtracks offered on current films and TV broadcasts. The MTS system is also capable of delivering a second audio program (SAP), which lets TV stations present programs and movies translated into another language. Digital tracking takes the blemishes out of picture quality, and the auto head cleaner reduces VCR maintenance.
