Rating: Summary: Pretty good overall, but one extrememly annoying feature... Review: there is no way to reset the counter on this VCR! Even when you put in a new tape, it won't go back to zero. It drives me crazy. Other than that, I'd say this is a pretty good buy. I've had mine for about six months and it still works.
Rating: Summary: A Great VCR Review: This is a great VCR. I have had it for several years now and I probably use the VCR for recording or playing something twice a day. It has a super fast rewind, which is fantastic (for when you are trying to make it to Blockbuster by noon). I just wanted to write a review to say that there is a way to reset the counter, but clearly people have trouble figuring out how to do it. It is rather simple, you just make the display show the counter and then you press the cancel button and it resets the counter to 00:00:00. It is a shame that people are reviewing this VCR for less than it is when it is them who didn't read the instructions to figure out how to work it. Not to mention, I bought this VCR when I was in college and my other VCR had stopped working and I found it for like $50-60 and this was in 1998/1999, so that was a great price. And it has served me well ever since.
Rating: Summary: A misrepresented VCR Review: This is a poor VCR for the following reasons: 1. 19u micron head does not provide better quality picture in EQ mode if anything the picture quality is worst. I mean it. It is. 2. its true that the picture is sharp. but the sharpness reveals the "snow" and other distractions of a videotape.
