Description:

The affordable VC-A565U uses a four-head design that ensures smooth slow-motion play (forward and reverse) and clear still-frame images. Front-panel audio/video inputs (composite-video, monaural RCA audio) accommodate a camcorder, gaming console, or second VCR, while Sharp's Super Picture feature enhances fine image details (especially on older tapes) and 19-micron Exact-Track heads ensure the clearest possible picture when recording or viewing in EP (extended-play) mode.

With EZ Set Up, all VCR tuner channels and clock are automatically set up for both air and cable channels. You can bypass previews and commercials with Skip Search, in which the VCR zooms forward in 30 second intervals. Did you miss a critical line of dialog? Instant Replay quickly performs reverse scanning in 20 second intervals, then resumes playback. The unit's rear panel features standard RF and composite-video input/output with monaural RCA audio input and output.

If you'll be using the set at a trade show, its all-repeat function will come in especially handy, rewinding and replaying each tape as soon as it ends. Other features include auto head cleaner, skip search/instant replay, and Sharp Super Quasi Playback, which displays S-VHS cassettes, if only in standard VHS resolution.

The unit comes with a universal remote that operates the VCR and basic functions of many TVs, cable boxes, and some digital satellite receivers. Rewind speed is approximately 54 seconds with a T-120 tape (the speed may be slower for tapes other than T-60, T-90 or T-120).
