Summary: It Works
Review: Took it outta the box, plugged it in, turned it on. Plays my tapes. It works. No weird noises I could hear. Not hard to program. Receives well. Rewinds helluva fast. Remote lights up in the dark. Not bad for half the price of other recorders.

Recommended.

Summary: What's Not To Like?
Review: Works flawlessly -- great picture quality on both the RF and video outputs and superb hi-fi stereo sound. As good as the [money]+ ProScan that died on me. More bells and whistles than most people ever need. Sure, the rewind's a little loud, but so what? It rewinds a tape end-to-end in only 100 seconds -- THAT'S FAST! I'd rather have fast than quiet any day! The playback is noiseless, and that's what really counts. I also got a Panasonic PV-V4521 (guess why I want two VCRs), and I like that one too. The only differences are VCR+ on the PV-V4611, and the PV-V4521 is a lot smaller. If I had to find something to complain about I would say it's that the slo-mo only has one speed. But even then, the slo-mo and freeze frame picture quality are as good or better than VCRs costing much more.

Summary: Seems to work fine--perhaps better not to ship
Review: [Are you wanting to buy this?}...don't bother. I had the Mod 4021-- TWO of them which Amazon.com graciously accepted back. They both had lines and screen "noise" and poor sound. So I decided the 4611 would be the answer to the problem. WRONG! Same old same old. It records fine: that tape plays back on ANOTHER VCR fine. But the playback on this machine, whether taped there, or at another source, is bad bad bad. Tracking clears it for a few minutes, then it goes bad again. I tried diff. brand tapes, two different TV's. Nothing worked, so I returned it. Don't buy it, unless you can easily return it to your merchant!
