Summary: TV/MOVIE JUNKIE
Review: LOVE LISTENING TO AND WATCHING TV/MOVIES - I FOUND THAT THE TRAVELVIEW SATISFIED BY ADDICTION TO TV - FIT PERFECT IN MY VAN BETWEEN THE TWO FRONT SEATS, I HAVE TWIN GRANDSONS (2 YRS OLD) AND A GRANDDAUGHER (12 YRS OLD) THEY ARE GREATLY ENTERTAINED BY THE TRAVELVIEW. I PURCHASED AN AC ADAPTER SO WHEN I NEED TO SEE ADDITIONAL TV (AT HOTEL OR VISITING RELATIVES) I TAKE THE TRAVELVIEW OUT OF THE VAN (EASILY REMOVED). MY KIDS REALLY ENJOY BEING ABLE TO PLAY THEIR GAMES AND ALSO WATCH MOVIES - THE ONLY FLAW WAS THE MANUAL WAS IN SPANISH AND I HAD A DIFFUCULT TIME TRYING TO FIND AN ADEQUATE ANTENNA ALSO, THE PRICE WAS GREAT - I WOULD RECOMMEND THE TRAVELVIEW TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS ENTERTAINMENT WHILE TRAVELING WITH KIDS/FAMILY OR WHOMEVER

Summary: entertainment on the go
Review: Most of my family and friends have kids. We are almost always on the go. Most of us like to have the newest electronic "toys". This product meets the needs of all three statements and answers it with one product. My cousin previously had a similar product that that cost slightly less but offered a smaller LCD and the quality was not as good. I am now sold on this product for myself and for the viewing pleasure of my 2 year old daughter.

Summary: Convenient Entertainment
Review: Our toddler is 2 years old and after about 30 minutes or so he tends to get bored in our van. We always bring things to keep him entertained and occupied, but this Travelview by far is the best thing ever invented to make our trips more peaceful and our toddler much happier...and better entertained for sure!!! It is great and well worth the investment. If you look around online (and in stores), you wont get a bargain like this and you wont find something as durable either. We love it!!!

Summary: Good Entertainer for the kids
Review: Overall, we really enjoy this product. There are two flaws-we didn't receive the remote or any instrucion manual that we were supposed to and the plastic on the inside cracked as soon as we put it in :( The kids love it so that's all that matters to us.

Summary: Sanity Saver!!
Review: The best thing to come along since sliced bread. Am a single parent with one son which has always been difficult to travel. He now has something to entertain himself while I can concentrate on driving! It's lightweight and I can easily take it in and out of my van. Fits like a glove between the front seats of my dodge caravan.

Summary: It could be better
Review: This product is made by Memorex and features a DC powered TV and VHS tape player built into a one piece console that fits nicely between the front seats on many mini-vans and SUVs. I purchased this product because of it's "console" design. On the plus side, the TV screeen is angled at the viewer along with an external speaker built into the console. Other nice features are dual earphone jacks, A/V plugs for video games, and a D/C power outlet all built into the console and easily reached by the viewer(s). This product also features a remote control for the TV and VHS player.

Concerns: The tape player and TV are 2 separate components with the tape player nestled into a compartment below the armrest cover on top of the console. Although the tape player compartment is ventilated, I found the tape player gets too hot and shuts down after awhile. (It will start to work again after it cools off) Also, since remote controls work within "line of sight" of the sensors on the faceplates of most TVs and VHS players, the remote control will only affect the TV unless you open the padded armrest cover and aim the remote control at the player itself. (Kinda defeats the idea of a remote control?)

This product is okay and has some nice features but it seems that a one piece TV/VCR combo (Memorex makes some) that would both face the viewer and be affected by the remote control would be better. Since most vehicles have armrests where the padded cover is located. I would like to see a console with cup holders and space for items: cell phone, coin holder, sunglasses, VHS tape holder, map pocket etc. Lastly, this product operates with the D/C power outlet in your vehicle, (cigar lighter)it is not D/C and A/C capable. Memorex does not offer an A/C power adapter that would allow the consumer to use this product indoors.

For the considerable cost of this product, it should have been better.

Summary: Great alternative to install
Review: We have twin girls (then 18 mons) facing a 13 hour drive for vacation - we have a minivan but did not get the dealer install drop down screan. After looking at all the alternatives, this worked great. Price is good. Install is easy. I prefer a tube to computer type screne since you can see it fine at an angle (twins...) and the size of the screne - 9" verses the panel screne's 4.5". The inside casing is cracked - hope it does not crack any more! (that's why only one star!)

Summary: Love It
Review: We travel a lot to Grandma and Pop's and this is the best purchase I could have made. We play it continuously for hours and have never had any problems. The picture is great and much larger than other comparable units. I would highly recommend this for anyone with young children.
