Rating: Summary: The Best VCR under @100 Review: I have owned this VCR for a couple of months now and I record on average 2 hrs a day. This VCR gives me perfect quality in SLP or SP. The auto clock setting is nice for accurate recording times. A nice feature is on replay it tells you when you recorded that show. It is a lot better than opposing brands including Panasonic, Sony, etc. This is the best quality VCR I have owned out of many Emersons, JVC's, Panasonic's, Sony's.
Rating: Summary: loud! Review: I agree! This VCR is very loud, especially when it is rewinding. It makes this loud clicking noise. And even when it's playing it makes the noise, too, just not as loud. I am also returning mine.
Rating: Summary: Get's The Job Done ... Review: I use it daily to record. I haven't had any problems with it. Some of the buttons are located in different places. But, that's ok. It works just fine.

Rating: Summary: Knock, Knock, Who's there? Review: I was looking for a 4 head hi-fi inexpensive VCR and finally settled on this model. It arrived in 2 days. It set up quite easily. Within minutes, there was an annoying knocking sound coming from the machine. I put several different tapes in the VCR, but the sound persisted. I have returned the VCR. On the plus side, the picture, sound quality and self tracking were good. The remote is not lighted and does not have an eject button.
Rating: Summary: Excellent value Review: Purchased in May 2003.Inexpensive, reliable, fast rewind. Useful feature is record file that puts date/time on tape. Have owned other Samsung vcr's over the years and have found them to be very reliable. On negative side only three month warranty on labour. Other manufacturers offer one year labour warranty. But then again have never needed to use warranty. Wish this product was available on Amazon.ca. Very difficult to find in local electronic stores.
Rating: Summary: Excellent value Review: This is a verry good VCR. I bought it for $54 when Target first got it I have no complaints about it and it is one of the very best VCR's I have owned.
Rating: Summary: A good machine otherwise Review: We have used our 1996 Samsung VCR almost daily for 7+ years, and it has held up well. When we needed a second VCR a few months ago we tried this VR8360.The good: This model is much smaller than our old one, has many more features, and cost 80% less. Amazing. The programming is easy and the recording quality is good. Samsung said on our warranty card that sending it back earns you a free extended warranty. The bad: No Eject button on the remote. Also, the Eject button on the VCR itself is where you would normally expect the Power button to be. The unit doesn't weigh much and may not last forever (I'm afraid this might apply to all modern VCRs). The ugly: Like other reviewers found, our unit sometimes clicks noticeably and rhythmically during various tape-movement operations. It does not seem to do it on every tape, and it usually is not loud enough to bother us. But if you are easily annoyed by this kind of thing, beware!
