If you route the stereo output to an AV receiver, it's easy to enjoy four-channel (left, center, right, and monaural surround) Dolby Pro Logic mixes from TV and Dolby-encoded cassettes. You can schedule ahead using the recorder's one-month, eight-event programming. Express record (XPR) lets you quickly set the duration for programmed recording, while one-touch recording (OTR) prompts immediate recording of whatever channel is being viewed--there's no need to worry about hitting "play" as well as "record."
