Summary: BEWARE!!
Review: This piece of junk blew out the speakers on my 27" Toshiba TV. Toshiba customer service said that this happening is within the realm of possiblilty. I hooked it up according to directions and the speakers are gone. I called Panasonic and they wanted it shippped to them "for testing". I am sure they'll decide there's nothing wrong and blow me off. Stay tuned....
Big surprise!! They found nothing wrong. They kept my VCR for over two weeks for "testing" and found nothing wrong with it. I KNOW I believe them!! What a crummy company to deal with!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Summary: I wish I didn't buy it
Review: This VCR seems to work perfectly except that it
doesn't play tapes that have been recorded on our
other Panasonic VCR. I just don't understand how
a tape can play perfectly well on one VCR and not
another. Perhaps you know better and won't have
this problem.

Summary: Quit after 4 months
Review: Was an awesome VCR for four months then the video went out. You still get the audio and can still watch tv through it but you cant see any picture when watching a video. Worthless warranty

Summary: Not quite good enough
Review: When you replace an ancient VCR, you expect that the new one will not respond to the index marks laid down by the earlier one. That is why the ability to search by time reference is important. This model lacks that feature. To make things worse, the time reference disappears from the screen when one does fast forward or reverse. What can the designers have been thinking?

Also, there is a fuzzy band on the left side of the screen during all playback. I regret not being alert enough to spot the shortcomings in time, and return this thing for credit. Most of the competitors would have served me better.
