Summary: Works great for me!
Review: After reading the previous review, I almost didn't buy this but decided to give it a try anyway. I needed a replacement DVD player and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I have had it only a week but so far it works perfectly. Both the DVD and the VCR give good clear pictures. It was easy to hook up and my kids can operate the remote easily. It doesn't have a radio reciever which I didn't realize when I bought it but that was my fault and has nothing to do with the performance of the machine. I'd say for the money (I bought it on sale), this is a great deal.

Summary: Cheap great DVD player / very good VCR too!
Review: I bought this cause I was looking for a good DVD player that can playback WMA files on DVD. This DVD player has a super solid WMA DVD playback support, with programming of individual tracks and random playback of programmed tracks! In addition its a solid player for DVD+-R media I have thrown at it! To me the VCR is a bonus for such a solid DVD player. I don't have much VHS tapes, but those I popped in looks good enough... not exactly progressive DVD but hey, its VHS, what do you expect?

Summary: Bad Product
Review: The DVD player doesn't work.
I just got this at Best Buy, brought it home ,plugged everything in only to find out that the DVD player doesn't work.
I tried playing several brand new DVDs and the player kept saying no disc.I made sure the DVD's were inserted properly and everything was hooked up correctly to no avail. The VCR section worked but no matter what DVD was inserted into the DVD player I got the same results..."no disc" and no play. What a waste of time and money!I'm returning it tomorrow.

Summary: Horrible! Will never buy from Zenith again!
Review: This DVD player is horrible! When I first hooked it up to my home theater system, I decided to test the VCR on it first. I put in one of my best quality VHSs, Return of the Jedi, and pressed play. The picture quality was extremely grainy and pixelated, and just unbearable to watch. I tried two other VHS tapes both with the same results. I then tested them on my stand-alone VHS player, and the quality was perfect.

After giving up on the VCR, I decided to try the DVD portion out. One of the main reason's I bought this was so I could play my DVD+R/RW's on my TV. Every time I would put one in, it would get part way through, then start skipping, and then freeze completely. I then decided to try out a normal DVD, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and wouldn't you know it, it started to skip, then it froze. I finally switched back to my old DVD player and watched the whole movie through, no skips.

All in all, this DVD player is horrible, don't buy it.
