Summary: I Love This Kid!!
Review: And I love this movie! I know less than nothing about baseball, but that's not the point. Is it unrealistic? Would a real major league player be goaded into a foolish attempt at stealing a base? Is it legal for a twelve year old to play with a major league team? WHO CARES?!!?? The pitcher's got a big behind, and besides the kid is cute, the romance mushy enough, the funny jokes are corny - the corny jokes are funny. Buy or rent, but see it!

Review: Gosh Henry, you could play for the Cubs!

Hmm....

And so begins the sojourn of Henry Runamucker
as he battles the unscrupulous Fish, successor
to the Cubs franchise,

and Jack, his mom's sleazy sports car driving
boy toy,

and Gary Bussey, the bitter, autography hating
Rocket.

Haunted by his biological father's spurious baseball
exploits- Henry wonders why his talent is making
boats.

Hey Rollingardner, catch!

Summary: [Fun Loving]!
Review: Henry Runamucker...err...Rowengartner (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is a 12-year-old boy that plays for the Chicago Cubs thanks to an accident Henry has at the beginning of the movie. Henry throws back a home-run ball at 100 miles an hour back to the field and he becomes an instant star! Daniel Stern ("Home Alone") co-stars as the pitching coach. Stern also directed this funny movie. Gary Busey plays an aging pitcher which helps Henry to get to his "Have-to" in the game.

Summary: Painful
Review: I read somewhere that director Daniel Stern loved baseball. It doesn't show. The baseball scenes are excruciating and embarrassing. I struggle to comprehend how anyone who loves baseball could enjoy this movie. I ended this movie angry, I recommend you steer well clear.
