Rating: Summary: Magic Personalities! Review: I highly recommend Longboard Magic & Multiple Personalities. I surf all over and can honestly say these two movies really show how good California can be. The music is great to listen to as you watch the surfers rip!

Rating: Summary: Great California IWaves Review: I love to see the spots I ride going off...with two movies on one dvd showing classic California...especially the point breaks...i keep watching this dvd over and over again...I really liked the music....the surfing was even better.
Rating: Summary: Longboard Magic & Multiple Personalities.. A++ Review: Rich Lehrer captures the "essence" of what Surfing Malibu is really all about in Multiple Personalities! He covers a wide range of emotion by implementing Rock, Pop, Surf and tasty Blues music behind the colorful styles of pro and non pro surfers alike. I particularly loved all the un-relenting nose rides from a long list of surfing notables. From groms, young men and women, to seasoned veterans, even some great Tandem Events, it's ALL there. Then get "Up Close and Personal" in Longboard Magic! All the top longboarders in a multitude of excellent surf at California's best summer and winter breaks.By the way it was filmed I felt like I was right there with 'em! Beautiful Imagery and a great soundtrack keeps the "Stoke" factor pumpin'!
Rating: Summary: Yaaaaawn Review: Want repetition again and again and again without any substantive commentary or perspective whatsoever from the department of redundancy department? This dynamic duo of de ja vu is for you. I love surf flicks, I love surfing, especially longboarding. But there's little excuse for the intellectually lazy offering both these films kick out. There's absolutely no interviews with any of the surfers and folks there are a ton of surfers in both of these flicks that provide a combined running time for about 2 and a half hours. It's great background on the tube for a party or something. But, I fell asleep trying to get some mental stimulation out of watching the same wave shots over and over and over and -- for the love of god -- over AGAIN! I'll keep this DVD set, but feel somewhat cheated. Oh yeah, same goes for Longboard Fever and Longer (the Joel Tudor self-indulgent rip off of the century coupled with jazz music that's more fitting for cheesy porno than it is for a surf flick). This is the problem with this genre in the past few years. Slap the word "Longboard" on it and they think they have a surfing film for a specific audience. But what you've really got is a mish-mash of nothingness for the mind framed in pretty pictures. Good god, stick a camera and mic in some of these guys' faces and let them tell us what they know. Is that so much extra work? I mean it was all shot on VIDEO, not film stock, which you can get away with on the Longboard Magazine videos because they do use film instead of video and look sooooooo much better. Well, we all know better. This is short-changing the surf culture and rather embarassing. Hey, my wife who does not surf, but loves watching the videos even said of this lame effort, "God, this is so boring."
