Summary: Beyond Boredom
Review: Upon first hearing about "the movie Vince McMahon doesn't want you to see" I immediately went to my local cinemas to see it, as did thousands of other people. In a way I feel cheated, Beyond the Mat is basically a movie about Jake "the Snake" Roberts and his drug/family problems. It is not about The Rock, or Mick Foley, or Terry Funk. I'd say 15 minutes went to Mick Foley, 2 minutes went to The Rock (more if you count all the footage taken directly from Royal Rumble 1999) and 20 minutes went to Terry Funk. For me the most interesting parts were WWF orientated, after buying Mick Foley's book I'd heard a lot about the Rumble match and had obviously seen the match half a dozen times. But on Beyond the Matt we hear The Rock and Makind backstage, Vince McMahon and Jim Ross talking about how things are going, even seeing Vince Russo for a couple of seconds. This for me was the highlights for the show, a look behind the scenes at the WWF. The rest was terrible. There is only so many times you can watch Jake Roberts sit on a Motel bed and act messed up.

Review: This was one of the most moving and emotional documentaries that I have ever seen. Even if you are not a wrestling fan, you will have a new found respect for the pain the wrestlers put themselves through. At one time I was an on and off fan of wrestling for a few years. But within the last four years wrestling changed dramatically, maybe it's the Vince McMahon Attitude? Well all in all this movie really makes you see the wrestling organization from a different light.

Review: What can I say, this movie is even more in depth than Bret Hart's "Wrestling with Shadows". It really intreagues me to see what has happened to Jake Roberts who has only been out of the spotlight for three years. I also liked the stuff on Funk and Foley, two true hardcore veterans. If your parents, girlfriend, or anyone else questions the "reality" of wrestling, have them watch this, THEN give their opinion. Great Stuff!

Review: Beyond The Mat is a brilliant exploration into the lives of proffesional wrestlers. From in front of the camera and thousands of screaming fans to behind the scenes, this documentary follows wrestlers such as Terry Funk, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Mick Foley, and New Jack. This is a fascinating look into what goes on within the wrestlers families and backstage. Also recommended: Bret Hart, Wrestling With Shadows. Both are must-haves for any wrestling fans video collection.

Review: No I did not buy this viedo but I did see it in thatre and thought it was awesome. The viewer gets to see what goes on behind the scenes of pro wrestling. You see how all the wrestlers don't really hate each other, but their almost like family. You see a Mick Foley is really, who is a great family man, who loves his wife and children with all his heart. Then you see a sad story on Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who has one of the saddest stories you'll ever see. I recomend this movie to everyone, even if your not a wresling fan, it will make you laugh and cry.

Review: This movie is one of the best movies I ever saw. If you are a die-hard wrestling fan (and even if your not) you would love this movie. It stars Mick Foley, Vince McMahon, Darren Drozdov, Terry Funk, Paul Heyman, and others. This is one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time. If you thought the documentary Wrestling with Shadows the movie starring Brett Hart was good wait until you see this. It is a must see. It has great action, suspense (porsay), and even some good humor. See what happens behind the scenes of one of the most biggest entertainment genre. See what the wrestlers really go through. Pain, Heart-Break, Drugs, and friendships.

Summary: The World Behide Pro Wrestling
Review: This movie takes an inside look at the world of pro wrestling. You see the stars of today's wrestling world as you have never seen them before, the personal side. Featured in the flim is best selling author and hardcore icon Mankind (or Mick Foley). In one scene you see Mick's wife break down into tears, as she shields the couple's children as Mick gets cracked in the head a whopping 10 times in the head with a steel chair. Also doucumented in the film is Jake "The Snake" Roberts and his battle with personal demons. Hardcore legeng Terry Funk is also showcased. This is not just a movie for wrestling fans as it is a story of human emotions and insterst and not a vechile to promote the sports entertainment industry.

Review: If you like wrestling, I mean really like wrestling, this is the greatest movie that you could ever see. Mankind gives an intimate look into the private life of a family coping with the violent reality of the mat life. Terry Funk gives his daughter away at her wedding and goes to the doctor who can't believe that Terry can still walk. New Jack tries his hand at acting in Hollywood and becomes a close friend of the director of the movie. Jake the snake smokes crack and meets his father and daughter for the first time in years. This movie picks up where the show leaves off and details every aspect of the world of pro wrestling.

Review: This is great movie for any wrestling fan. It is mostly based on the older generation of wrestlers and the turns the business has taken. It mostly follows the careers of Terry Funk, Mick Foley, and Jake The Snake Roberts. It really has nothing to do with the new wrestling generation, there is virtually nothing on Triple H, The Rock, or Stone Cold Steve Austin, except for a few cameos, so if you were thinking of buying this movie to see any of todays stars, i don't recommend it, but this movie is for the truly hardcore wrestling fans.
