Summary: WWE King Of The Ring 2002
Review: Nobody seems to like it but I loved it

a 20 minuit kotr classic y2j should have one rating:9/10 winner:RVD

Finals:
3.Brock vs.RVD
Good match quality wrestling rating:7/10 winner of kotr:Brock Lesnar

If you can see as the night went on the matches got worse and worse the next 2 matches along with the first one are the only reason to buy the DVD.

Every one knows that Hogan is out his time taking on a well established superstar Kurt angle this match was lit up by Kurts funny yet serious wrestling rating:8.5/10(finally back on track)winner Kurt

Good match rock makes a good return rating 9.6/10 winner Taker

A ppv that was made of 4 matches

Summary: King of the Ring is the King of sleepfests...
Review: Once again the WWE falls short of putting on a worthy June Pay-Per-View. For the most part the whole card was slow paced. Not one of the King of the Ring Tournament matches were any good. Triple H and Undertaker, well, what do you expect? Taker's 40 years old, and Triple H hasn't been as good since he had his surgery. The only match I would consider watching over is the Angle v.s. Hogan match, but that's just because I think Kurt Angle is the best in the WWE. So the only reason I gave this PPV 2 stars is because I liked the pyrotechnics display at the beginning and the big chair in the king of the ring set was nice. Anybody that gave this more than 3 stars has obviously never seen a good WWE Pay-Per-View.

Summary: SPECTACULAR!
Review: Once again, the WWE put on a great show and this has to be one of the greatest King of the Ring editions of all time! The WWE have had a great run of PPV's in 2002, all have been exciting and spectacular and now Austin is gone, The Rock has come home!

King of the Ring Semi Final Match
This is a show stealer and perhaps one of the nights best matches... Alot of high spots and near falls!

King of the Ring Semi Final Match
Another show stealer! This was a physical and smash mouth slobber knocker between two of the biggest heavyweights in the WWE...

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Fast, Furious, Breathtaking. Those are the terms used most to describe this light-heavyweight match between two of the greatest light-heavyweights in the WWE...

WWE Womens Championship
...Fun womens match...

King of the Ring Finals
...This was unexpected and perhaps the biggest shocker in WWE history...

WWE Undisputed Championship Match
...Finally, ...it was a match for the ages!...

All in all, this was a fantastic PPV and one of the best!!!!!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: KOTR 2002
Review: RVD's matches make this ppv worth watching... He and Jericho battled a classic... The rest is mediocre at best...

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: one of the worst ppv's ever
Review: terriblre ppv. too long of a match between undertaker and hhh, the women's and crusiersweight title matches were so boring. the kotr tourn. [wasn't good].how could the wwe let some rookie win the kotr tourn?! angle vs. hogan was a slow match, and so was flair vs. guerreo.

Summary: Well Rounded addition to the King of the Ring series
Review: The WWE continues to put on good pay per views in 2002 with June's King of the Ring. With the sudden loss of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the wrestlers and the company itself manage to entertain just as well as before.

1. King of the Ring Semi-Finals: Chris Jericho vs Rob Van Dam - It has been called the match of the night. These two rising young stars are able to entertain with a wonderful match that started off the show.

2. King of the Ring Semi-Finals: Brock Lesnar vs Test - A good match that is fairly stiff. Test and Lesnar wail on each other throughout the match with plenty of brawling and power moves.

3. Cruiserweight Title: Hurricane (c) vs Jamie Noble - A good cruiserweight match with two wonderful wrestlers. Sadly, they seemed to wrestle like heavyweights during this match instead of using their cruiserweight talents to their advantage.

4. Women's Title: Trish Stratus (c) vs Molly Holly - A basic womens match with nothing too extradinary. It is good to see the WWE make better use of their women in the recent year.

5. Ric Flair vs Eddie Guerrero - A well paced match with a mix of old skool style with the modern fast paced style. Flair begins his "last good run" with an impressive bout against Guerrero. Eddie was suppose to face Steve Austin, but since Austin's sudden departure, Flair picked up the dropped ball and has run with it.

6. Hulk Hogan vs Kurt Angle - The Hulkster faced the Olympic Gold Medalist in an impressive match. It was at the first KOTR ppv in 1993 that Hogan had his last match in the WWF until Feb. 2002, now Hogan returns and manages to keep up with Angle's speed and endurance. Angle continues to wear the wig he's had since losing his hair from Edge at Judgment Day. Surprisingly, Hogan taps out to Angle's ankle lock which is a very rare feat indeed.

7. King of the Ring Finals: Rob Van Dam vs Brock Lesnar - As a mark for RVD, I was cheering for him the entire time. This is the one point of this pay per view that disappointed me. Lesnar gets a win over RVD to become the 2002 King of the Ring, which also gives him a title shot at Summerslam in August. But since Lesnar only debuted on wrestling TV two months ago, does he really deserve this spot in the company? Only time will tell.

8. WWE Title: Undertaker (c) vs Triple H - A rematch from last year's Wrestlemania X-7 match, these two veterans provide the fans with an impressive match. The Rock commentates for a while before getting involved in the match himself. One can only imagine how much longer we'll get to see the Undertaker before he has to step aside for the young blood to rise.

A more than decent pay per view by far. With backstage segments involving Bubba Ray Dudley, Lance Storm, Christian, Booker T, Goldust, X-Pac, Big Show, Kevin Nash, and Shawn Michaels, King of the Ring 2002 is another great product by the WWE.

Summary: I am reluctant to rate this, because there is no
Review: This is one of the worst pieces of garbage that the WWF has ever ever ever done, i'm reviewing it play by play to notify you of how horrible each event is and how much you will cringe at how fast this once great organization is going so far down the toilet that T.L. Hopper couldn't plunge it out.

You'd think that after all these years of mediocre and flat out terrible king of the rings (see 1999 and 1995 ESPECIALLY) that WWF would can this pay per view and realize that it's go nowhere and as far as the winners having big careers, you already know in advance that they will be successful, the pushed winners were in line for a push regardless like Steve Austin, Triple H, and Kurt Angle. That leaves us with the bookers attempting to swerve us with winners that make no sense like Billy Gunn and Mabel and the latest collection to bad King Of The Rings, Brock "The next talentless heatless big thing that Vince is going to push" Lesnar. Paul Heyman can't get you over Brock, go back to the minors and come back when you dont look like you're constipated.

RVD d. Chris Jericho

If this match had other participants i'd say it was a totally inocuous match and there was nothing too bad or too great, how the WWE could botch an RVD vs. Chris Jericho match is beyond me, here is arguably the two most talented men in the company, in the prime of their careers, putting on a choppy curtain jerker. Weakness.

1 star/5

Brock Lesnar d. Test

Why was this given almost 10 minutes? It felt like an eternity. The big lugs didn't step up their game either.

0 stars/5

Cruiserweight Title
Jamie Noble d. Hurricane (c)

If this title were given TV time and Noble and Hurricane's feud (which could've been great) wasn't buried on Velocity, this match would've been a real treat. Nothing to raise your eyebrows here but it leads to the most over cruiserweight champion so far in Jamie Noble.

3 stars/5-Best match of the show by a LOOOOOOOONNNGGGGSHHOOOOTTT

Ric Flair d. Eddie Guerrero

This match was scheduled to be Eddie Guerrero vs. Steve Austin but Steve did the smart thing and "took his ball and went home". Ric Flair is "Without a shadow of a doubt!" the greatest in the history of the business, but this match shows how much he needs to hang up the boots. This match features the nonsenical teaming of Benoit and Guerrero which i hope and pray is over, and the most pointless interference ever in a match by Buh Buh Ray Dudley. This ... was given 20 whole minutes. This could've been good if Steve Austin was there.

0 stars/5

Women's Title
Molly Holly d. Trish (c)

The first respectable women's champion since Lita, fortunately this one is short and forgettable and the belt is finally around Molly, how long did it take the braintrust to figure out that she was A) Over, B) A GOOD Wrestler? And a woman? This is the WWE! THAT CANT BE!

1 star/5

Kurt Angle d. Hulk Hogan

This feud had pretty good heat and this was when the Kurt bald/wig angle was really funny and really over, however the match was as bad as expected, not a good match at all, but kind of historical as Hogan not only jobs but does a SUBMISSION job to the Shamr...i mean Angle Lock.

0 stars/5

King Of The Ring Final
Brock Lesnar d. RVD

WWE Braintrust: Well Vince, i've got the finals down, Test really isn't over enough to win it and Jericho is too over to win it, so it's down to Lesnar and RVD, i think we should have RVD win since he's a talented and charismatic guy who's been mega over with the fans ever since we contracted him.

Vince: Well that's all well and good guys, but remember in 1993 when i had those plans to put the title on Ludvig Borga during the Zahorian Steroids trial? Well i was thinking, Brock looks like Borga 2.0, let's try this out, this has to work, since the winner goes to the main event of the second biggest show of the year, and limited big guys=buys.

Ludvig Lesnar wins a cheap victory in an instantly forgettable match and a slightly better but also forgettable rematch takes place at Vengeance.

0 stars/5

Undisputed World Title
Undertaker (c) d. Triple H

Hey, i got an idea, let's take one guy who's getting pretty old and one guy who's the biggest injury liability since Steiner, put them in a 30 minute slugfest, and try to sell the PPV as the comeback of The Rock, despite The Rock not being booked in actual matches, but that's okay, he can interfere in the main event and all will be saved. Guess what happened, this match bombed, this show bombed, The Undertaker kept showing aging, Triple H got his elbow injured (duh), the fans were bored to tears even when The Rock was in, and this is one of the most terrible main events in World Wrestling Ederation history

-5 stars/5, worst main event since Mable vs. Diesel

This show is the WWE equivalent to Great American Bash 91, be afraid, be very afraid, the only things that should ever be exposed to human eyes on here is the cruiser match and the booker t/goldust promo that has nothing to do with King Of The Ring. The undercard is completely superfluous, which is deserving as bad as it is, but with a ... undercard you should at least TRY to get a main event in there that will give the fans their 30 bucks worth. This is not that main event. I hope they will learn from this disaster (.96 buyrate for a MAJOR PPV) and can KOTR for good. I would like to see a new idea for the June 2003 pay per view.

For those of you who have also viewed this, i'm thinking of setting up a support group.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: not as good as 1998
