Summary: ECW! ECW! ECW!
Review: This DVD is MUCH better than Extreme Evelution. Most of these matches are watchable a thousand times!! It's amazing that a company that puts out this kind of wrestling is now out of buisness. The moves some of these guys do are awesome!! the the crowds respect all of these wrestlers, aplauding every move every wrestler moves. But DON'T buy Extreme Evelution, the matches they picked for that DVD are not so good compared to this one. And try to find the hidden Brian Pillman interview, it is pretty cool!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: E.C.W. Rules
Review: This dvd rules. The four corners match between scorpio/jericho/douglas/and pitbull 2 is AWESOME, and its so long, 40 minutes!rvd vs. bigelow is an awesome match, and rvd takes to the air when he dives into the audience..twice! sabu vs. sandman is a very brutal and entertaining match.ian vs. axl, dont expect any wrestling in this match, but its ok, they make up for it in blood. LOTS OF BLOOD. jerry lynn vs. tajiri vs. super crazy is a great three way dance. malenko vs. guerrero, great 2/3 falls match with tons of emotions in the ecw arena, since it is both their final appearance in ecw before leaving to wcw. misterio vs. psicosis is an AWESOME match, very good first impression from both men in their debut match. some extras include lots of promos, most notably steve austin.and definitely the best easter egg of all the dvds, the late great Brian Pillman invades ECW at cyberslam 96 and totally shoots (i think he was, if he wasnt they did a damn good job at making it seem he was) on Eric Bischoff, the ecw fans, and paul heyman. this segment RULES ! this dvd is definitely worth the money, no doubt about it

Summary: A DVD that reminds us why ECW used to be good...
Review: This is a good DVD. The Malenko-Guerrero match is worth the price alone, and Sabu vs Sandman is a must-see for hardcore fans. The Pillman shoot interview from Cyberslam 1996 is simply classic and one of the better promos ever done. What is wrong with the DVD then? The Rotten vs Rotten death match is mindless crap and some of the promos left me wondering why they were even included. Overall though, a very solid purchase.

Summary: Overall pretty good, but some matches are really long
Review: This is a great DVD with some really good matches on it. In several of them you can actually feel the drama behind the match, which I felt was lacking in "Extreme Evolution".

The only thing I didn't like was that several of the matches are extremely long, but today's TV standards. The 4-way involving Chris Jerhico just went on and on forever. I think they could have told their story in about half the time, but then again, ECW doesn't have the match psychology and pacing that WWF has, so this probably isn't news to anyone.

High points:

1. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. RVD - Bam Bam does a moonsault off the tope rope!! How many 300+ pounders do that?

2. Psicosis vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. - you don't see a lucha match much, and this is pretty cool

Low points:

1. Eliminators vs. Ganstas (I think) - Perry Saturn drops so many legs and/or elbows off the top of the cage, that there's no more shock value in doing so. A cage match shouldn't have many drops from that high, because if it does it ruins the intensity of such moves.

2. "Run in" during the Taipei Deathmatch - while the match itself was cool, the brawling between the ganstas and public enemry was a pretty weak plot device to get Bill Alfonso out of the ring. Just dumb.

Summary: What a movie this should be!
Review: This is amazing! ECW has come out with their second home video. The first one has been a major sucess, and like all things that involves ECW, it should be well worth the money we pay. I expect us all to be shouting "ECW...ECW...ECW," when we are done watching this one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great DVD (VHS)!
Review: This is one of the best DVD's I own.

Dean Malenko vs. Eddy Guerrero is without a doubt one of the greatest techinical matches of all time. Just awesome, awesome stuff. Simply put, they give you a million dollar performance on a 20 dollar tape.

The Shane Douglas-Scorpio-Jericho-Pit Bull 2 match was incredible. It made me a ECW fan. Jericho does a Huracanrana from the top~! INCREDIBLE

the rest of the stuff is amazing too... sabu-sandman, rey~!-psicosis~!, and others is DEFINATELY worth the price.

Summary: crazy movie gotta buy it
Review: This movie shows some of the best action in ecw. if u think that wwf is hardcore then u probably haven't seen ecw.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good introduction, could have been better
Review: This tape is amazing, only five matches, but in all it doesnt really need any more! ECW at its BEST! If you want scientific , hardcore , lucha libre , bloody , entertaining action, its all here on P.O.D!!!anyways lets start.

ECW intro

Joey Styles is host

2 cold scorpio V. jericho V. shane douglas V. pitbull 2(tv title match)!
amazing bout! 40 minutes but every minute is action packed!insane spots, amazing stuff for this time, great ending, its unbelievable theres too much to say here anyways 10/10!

RVD V. Bam Bam Bigelow(TV title match): holy crap, RVD does two insane bumps and takes a few big ones throughout the match! Great ending as well. The big man does some neat stuff too. 10/10

Sabu V. Sandman(stairway to hell): violent, bloody, hardcore, insane. Anyways if you dont know what stairway 2 hell is, its a ladder match but at the top its barbed wire than you can use it any way you want! Tables,Ladders,Chair,Canes,Barbed Wire everything! 10/10.

Ian rotten V. Axl rotten(taipei death match) if you dont know what a taipei death match is, its two men dip their fists into glue into broken glass. Not really a wrestling match just bloody hardcore war. This should be viewed to anyone under 14, i had trouble watching this, also the stairway 2 hell match is pretty explicit(whatever that word is) for under 14 as well, maybe even older. The crowd is loud at first for this and the previous match but then they become quiet as they are all shocked at this mayhem anre are just in awe. Anyways its amazing what these two and sabu and sandman will do for the crowd. 1/10 for match 9/10 for entertainment.

J.Lynn V. Tajiri V. Super Crazy: Lucha libre man, three cruiserweights in amazing spotfest, so much stuff happens at once u can not only view one time. 9.5/10.

Overall. ECW at its BEST 10/10

Summary: Best Wrestling DVD....... Ever...
Review: This tops my list of wrestling DVD's and I wouldn't be surprised if it was still at the top in 5 years. Why? Here's why:

Matches (rated out of 5 stars):

1. Chris Jericho Vs. 2-Cold Scorpio Vs. Pitbull #2 Vs. Shane Douglas - ECW TV Championship 7/13/96 - This is an amazing 40min 4-way elimination match. It's not a free for all, but a tag elimination match in which anyone can be tagged in. Shane Douglas is a great despicable heel, Scopio and Jericho are awesome as usual and even Pitbull #2 does a great job. Highlights include a top-rope powerbomb, a plancha-city spot and Scorpio pin point dropkicking Jericho in midair during his Lionsault. Great drama building towards an incredible finish involving a table.. *****

2. Rob Van Dam Vs. Bam Bam Bigalow - ECW TV Championship 4/4/98 - Rob Van Dam does some ridiculous aerial moves in his attempt to win the title from the "Beast from the East". Although there's nothing extremly special about this match, it remains one of my favortes for some reason. ****1/2

3. Sabu Vs. The Sandman - Stairway to Hell Match 1/10/98 - An anything goes match between 2 of the most suicidal wrestlers in ECW. The object is to pin your opponent and there's a roll of barbed wire hanging from the ring accessible by a ladder only. The Sandman and Sabu take some *CRAZY* bumps in this match and destroy about a half dozen tables. ECW hardcore at it's best. How many times has Sabu had to wrap himself up mid-match.. *****

4. Ian Rotten Vs. Axl Rotten - Taipei Death Match 7/1/95 - If you like brutaility this is it! Former tag team partners, and brothers, take their frustrations out on each other by dipping their hands in glue and then glass. Blood Blood Blood. One of the goriest matches I've ever seen. I respect the lengths they go to for the fans, but with no wrestling involved this turns into just senseless carnage. *1/2

5. Jerry Lynn Vs. Tajiri Vs. Super Crazy - 3-Way Dance 11/7/99 - A 3-way elimination free-for-all. Anything with Tajiri and Super Crazy is sure to be memorable but throw in Jerry Lynn and you got a classic. Lots of great moments including a moonsault off the 2nd floor. ****1/2

6. Dean Malenko Vs. Eddy Guererro - 2 out of 3 falls 8/26/95 - Both wrestlers were going to the rival WCW Federation but instead of booing them out of the building, the extreme ECW fans gave them a heartwarming send-off. In their last ECW match, they give the fans a usual Amazing Malenko/Guererro technical match. Very classy send off for 2 great wrestlers. ****1/2

7. Psicosis Vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. - 9/16/95 - The first time I saw these two wrestler was during the 95' Super J-Cup tournament and they blew me away! Although this match isn't as good, anyone whose a fan of high flying/technical wrestling needs to see one of their matches. It should be required viewing :-) .. ****

Extra DVD Stuff: 1 Audio track. Various text Biographies of former/current ECW wrestlers. Some great promo's especially from Steve Austin and Stevie Richards. Joey Styles introduces every match with it's history. Easter egg: From the main screen click on Special Features. When Wrestler Biographies is highlighted click to the right ->. The debut and promo of the late Brian Pillman should start.

Jezz what a DVD!! Three 5-star matches! Whoever picks the matches for these ECW compilations does an amazing job! Now if only WWF would follow suit..

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: ECW FN' W
Review: This was an excellent tape and a great sampling of ECW's non-hardcore side as it displayed some classic wrestling matches. If you want to see some blood bath's and lots of hardcore action don't check this one out, but get the DVD which has the great stairway to hell match on it. Here are my reviews for the matches:

Four way dance for the ECW television title: 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Shane Douglas vs. Pitbull #2 vs. Chris Jericho This was an amazing match that went 40 min.!! Everyone involved tried their best and pulled off one hell of a match. ****1/4

Television title match: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Rob Van Damn This was a fast paced match with many great spots from Van Damn. At one point he does a sommersault plancha from the top rope onto Bam Bam in the crowd. Amazing! Van Damn wins it after an assist from Sabu. ***1/2

Dean Malenko vs Eddy Guererro in a 2/3 falls match This match was damn good though they had much better ones in ECW. The big deal with this one is it was their last match in ECW and it was very emotional. It was a draw when both men's shoulders were pinned. Both offered words to the fans after the match which was very emotional. Great moment in ECW! ****

Rey Misterio Jr. vs Psycosis This match was absolutley amazing for the time (1995) but isn't as good today. It is still a great match just not a 5 star classic. Both men show many of their high flying moves. Time hasn't been great to this match because rey has done matches way better than this. Still a ***1/4 match.

This tape is definitley highly reccomended with the lowest star rating being 3 1/4!
