Review: I thought this was a great ppv. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of a couple matches like William Regal vs. Hardcore Holly, which ws very boring. Mainly because Regal is not what you would call an exciting wrestler. But the three main events were great. Rock/Rikishi was intense, Angle/Taker was also good, with a good twist for the ending, and Autin/HHH was great, although I'd a prefered a straight winner. Some people say the traditional Survivor Series matches weren't good, but I enjoyed them. They weren't real long and dragged out, and had some good spots in them. Lita vs. Ivory was surprisingly good too. I'd say buy this for sure. It's worth the money.

Review: Six Person Tag Team Match Test, Albert, Trish vs. Crash, Steve Blackman, Molly - Overall a pretty horrid match much like all intergender matches. Crash Holly is the only wrestler in the match with any true skill but he couldn't save this one. (**) Survivor Series Match The Radicalz vs. Billy Gunn & Chyna, K-Kwik, Road Dogg - I like the fact that the WWF returned to the classic Survivor Series matches. I like all four of the Radicalz because I've followed their entire career in ECW-WCW-and now the WWF. Road Dogg (I hate), K-Kwik (Got some potential but makes a lot of rookie mistakes), Chyna (Good for a woman... that's all I'll say), and Billy Gunn (um...). Not bad match, saved by the Radicalz though. (***) Chris Jericho vs. Kane - I like both men and hope Jericho can win the title again but for real this time and Kane can hold it for more than a day. Both men looked sloppy but the veterans were able to pull out a decent match. (***) WWF European Championship Steve Regal (c) vs. Hardcore Holly - I like Regal, I'm not a fan of Holly. Brutal match and both of these men weren't getting much of a reaction out of the crowd. (**) The Rock vs. Rikishi - I hate the Rock, absolutely hate him. I don't like wrestlers who are good on the mike and have wrestling skills worse than Hulk Hogan. I was rooting for Rikishi but... oh my god! The Rock won can you believe it! Complete waste of pay per view time, count the Rock's moves I counted 5, that might be a record for him! Remember the People's elbow doesn't count. (**) WWF Womens Championship Lita (c) vs. Ivory - I don't like women wrestling unless it's a mud wrestling match, Bra and Panties match, etc. I don't believe their bodies were built to seriously wrestle as they can't take bumps without taking long breaks. Pure Sloppy. (*) WWF World Heavyweight Championship Kurt Angle (c) vs. the Undertaker - I loved the ending, I think Kurt Angle is hilarious and a good wrestler and I don't like the Undertaker. Seriously, what is so good about him? He's a senseless brawler and can't even do the Tombstone anymore since it was outlawed. Senseless brawl. (**) Survivor Series Match The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz vs. The RTC, Edge & Christian - I like three of the four teams (Can anyone guess which three?) and the team I don't like ruined the match. The WWF rushed this match too much and didn't give it any time. I would got rid of one of the D-Von and Matt Hardy and RTC to let the good wrestlers get things going. But no they did it completely different and I can't believe they got rid of Edge so quickly. (**) 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin vs. Triple H - A senseless brawl but great psychology. Both men are veterans of the ring and have my respect... more so, Triple H. But the ending... does the WWF take us for idiots. We all know that in real life a fall like that would kill a man. But if most of you are watchers of the WWF you know that Triple H came back two weeks later without a scratch, come on. (***)

A good match with a good build-up behind it. Kane wins with a chokeslam, but later in the night Jericho attacks Kane backstage, which leads to their last man standing match the next month at Armageddon 2000. 7/10 European Title

The worst match of the night, and it was only booked on Heat earlier that night. Not truly awful, but not good at all either. 4/10 Rikishi V The Rock
A quite good match, but it could have been better. Rikishi dominates a lot of the match. After Rock wins with a people's elbow Rikishi gives Rock 4 banzai drops. 7/10 Women's Title
Ivory V Lita
Ivory cheats to win the match win help from Steven Richards. Lita gets busted open near her eye, but she finishes the match. It was good for a women's match and it wasn't too long. 5/10 WWE Title
Kurt Angle V Undertaker
A good match, with Undertaker almost winning about 3 times. Kurt taps out to an arm lock when the ref isn't looking, and also Edge and Christian interfere distracting the ref and so stopping Taker from getting a 3 count. At the end Kurt goes under the ring, but Taker pulls him out and last-rides him for a 3, however the ref realises it's not Kurt, but his brother Eric. Kurt comes from the other side and rolls up Taker for the win. 8/10 Edge & Christian and Bull Buchanan & Goodfather V Hardy Boys and Dudley Boys
A fantastic survivor series match with the Hardys and Dudleys working great as a team. Some great moves, and in the end only Jeff is left but he wins the match. Afterwards RTC attack him but Matt and the Dudleys come back out and it all results in Val and Richards both going through tables. 8/10 No Disqualification Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin V Triple H
Best match of the night, with Triple H being busted open by a monitor and put through the announce table. Then they fight backstage where the Radicalz attack Austin and Triple H goes away to the parking area and get in a car. Austin gets away and chases Benoit into the parking area, which is a set up so HHH can run over Austin again. Benoit goes off to look for Austin as HHH waits in the car, but then Austin uses a forklift to pick up the car with HHH still in it and then drops it from a great height. A rather dramatic ending, which was a bit too unbelievable, but overall a great match. However, if you want Austin and HHH's best match check out their 3 Stages of Hell match at No Way Out 2001. 9/10 Overall a very solid PPV. The main event is great and there are some other cool matches too.

Review: Survivor Series is one of the Big 5 WWF Pay Per View Events (Wrestlemania, Summerslam, King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series). Any PPV is supposed to be special and of a higher quality than the average RAW or Smackdown program, but the Big 5 are of a higher profile than the rest. The first Survivor Series was held in 1987 and it set the tradition of what Survivor Series is. A traditional Survivor Series match is a 4 on 4 or 5 on 5 elimination tag team match where there is no winner until every man from one team is eliminated. Depending on who gets eliminated, this can set up a 5 on 1 match, or any other combination of wrestlers. When Survivor Series debuted, that type of elimination match was the norm for the PPV. As the years have gone by, Survivor Series has featured fewer and fewer traditional elimination matches. With all of the anticipation that comes before one of the bigger PPV events, the 2000 Survivor Series was somewhat under-whelming. There were a couple of traditional Survivor Series matches. One of them, the match between the Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guererro) vs Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, K-Kwik, and Chyna was one of the better matches of the night. Most of the matches were not very exciting (Bob Holly vs William Regal for the European Championship as an example) and served only to advance the storylines. Advancing the storylines is a good thing, but it is of greater importance to put on good matches. Otherwise, the audience/viewer will not care or pay money to watch the events. The championship match between Kurt Angle and The Undertaker was decent, much on the strength of Kurt Angle to elevate any superstar he is in the ring with. However, the match ended in another swerve, which is becoming a Survivor Series tradition. The swerve tradition seems to date back to 1997 with the Bret Hart/ Shawn Michaels match in Montreal. An occasional swerve isn't a bad thing as it can heighten interest in the story being told. The problem is that the WWF has used it so much that we come to expect a swerve and the importance of the match, even the championship match, is lessened. The Main Event was Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Triple H, and this was more of a brawl than a wrestling match. As such, it wasn't a bad match until the end. The ending to this one was more absurd than dramatic. We are expected to believe that one wrestler is in life threatening danger, but we know that he will be back...either the next week or in a month or two. Knowing that so much is staged makes some events absurd. Overall, this was only an average Pay Per View. Nothing special.
