Rating: Summary: WHAT A RUMBLE!!! Review: This one was the best rumble in 18 years and i saw them from the very beginning ,this is intense spectacular all that the fans are expecting from the wwe.(do not watch the 1998 rumble it is terrible ,except for shawn's match...) My recommendation: take a look at the double chokeslam by hurricane on HHH and Austin.WHAT?WHAT? Keep doing the good job, even France is watching you...
Rating: Summary: The Best Rumble Review: This Rumble is by far best because it has all the greats with tons os storylines leading intothe match
Rating: Summary: Good rumble! Review: this rumble started out with 3 bad to okay matches. then it got a good streetfight. a great title match and the best royal rumble match ever. overall this is one of the better rumbles!
Rating: Summary: An Average Rumble Review: This rumble was OK not as good as the 2000 or 2001 but it was decent.
Tazz and Spike vs. Dudley Boys-Not a real good match, rather dull and I'm not a big fan of the Dudleys. 6/10
Edge vs. Regal-Not a great match but both men work hard in the ring and Edge is great. 7/10
Trish Stratus vs. Jazz-Didn't Watch It
Ric Flair vs. Vince McMahon-Street Fight-Not real good. The whole match was both men punching each other. Not even close to HOGAN-MCMAHON at WMXIX. 7/10
Chris Jericho vs. The Rock-I loved this match, both men are phenomenal wrestlers and always put on superb matches no matter who they are with. Great table spot in the match too. 9/10
The Royal Rumble Match-Not as good as previous years but did have some nice spots in it. Austin and the game are such great entertainers. 8/10
Overall, a decent PPV. Overall: 7/10
Rating: Summary: Not bad at all Review: This was pretty good, but not the best Royal Rumble. The matches:Spike and Tazz vs Dudleyz with Stacy for the tag titles. This was a pretty good match. I thought it was pretty funny at one point Stacy went to slap Tazz but Tazz ducked and she go the tazzmission for a sec. That was tight, lol. Tazz and Spike barely retain the titles, after Tazz locks the tazzmission on d-von. ** Edge vs Regal for IC title. This match was ok, but their styles are pretty different, so the match aint the best. The main big pop i remember is Edge hittin a ddt on the apron. Regal wins the IC title thanks to those brass knux(aahh!!) ** Trish vs Jazz for women's title. Nothin special in this match, Jazz runs most the match until Trish hits the bulldog to retain. *1/2 Street Fight-Vince vs Flair. This match was pretty aggressive, some blood from Ric of course. Ric gains momentum at the end and wins with the Figure 4 Leg Lock. **1/2 Undisputed title-Jericho vs The Rock. This was an awesome match. Jericho using the Rock Bottom, Jericho hittin two lionsaults, a sick rockbottom(from the rock) thru the announcer table, etc. Jericho wins thanx to the exposed turnbuckle. **** The Royal Rumble. Some pretty shocking stuff in the Royal Rumble made it great. The Hardyz returning to try and get revenge on Taker, Maven eliminating Taker(what a fan reaction), Kane actually picking Big Show up and dropping him over the top rope, etc. 4 ppl return to the WWE in the Royal Rumble: Goldust, Val Venis, Godfather(not good, god), and Mr. Perfect. Triple H is the man as he wins the Royal Rumble and earns a shot at the title at WMX8. This Royal Rumble is good but not the best. In my opinion Royal Rumble 2001 was probably the best thus far. If u want my opinion on if u should buy this video or not, i'd say go ahead and buy it, unless u desperately want to rent it first.
Rating: Summary: Good but not a classic Review: This was the best PPV the WWF did in months, but thats not saying much. The Flair vs Vince match was fun, Jericho vs Rocky was good but not as good as their match at No Mercy, and the best match was the opening tag match with the Dudleys vs Taz and Spike, even though it was too short. The Rumble itself is only worth watching once. This ppv was worth watching once but after that I don't think that you'll get too much out of this disc. I would give it a 3 1/2.
Rating: Summary: Time to play the Game, Wooo! Review: This was the best Royal Rumble(the match itself)in years. I had the pleasure of being there in person, there was nothing like it. This year the rest of the card was better than the 2001 Rumble PPV, but was sort of weak. With the exceptions of Vince McMahon vs. Ric Flair, and 'Living Legend'and first undisputed WWF champion Chris Jericho vs. The Rock: both of these were appentizers for the meal. The tag team title match of Spike Dudley and Tazz (c) vs. The Dudley Boyz was ok, but too short. The Intercontentental match between Willam Regal vs. Edge (c) was ok but not as good as their Vengeance match. And the Women's title bout between Trish (c) and Jazz was again ok and short. Overall this ppv was great, even better being there. The DVD is great, and actually has extras!!! I recommend this dvd, or Armaggedon 2000 ppv, which I also attended!
Rating: Summary: Royal Rumble 2002-Great start for the year Review: This was the best rumble I have seen no doubt, but there are a few minor problems with the DVD that I will get into after I review the matches. 1.WWF Tag Team Championship Champions Tazz and Spike Dudly Vs. The Dudly Boyz 2.5 stars out of 5. Good opener a little dissapointing because of it's length but none the less good match with an exciting ending. 2.WWF Intercontinental Championship Champion Egde Vs. William Regal 2.5 stars out of 5 Another good match, these two have been fueding for quite some time now and it gets even better here. nice match with some high spots but a terrible ending resulting in William Regal using those damn brass knuckles to win the Intercontinental title. 3.WWF Woman's Championship Champion Trish Vs. Jazz 2 stars out of 5 Like every women's title match at the royal rumble the dud match of the night, certainly a better bout then last years Chyna Vs.Ivory. 4.Street Fight Vince Mcmahon Vs. Ric Flair 4 out of 5 stars great match but very slow and one sided, the funny thing about this match is that Ric Flair is suppose to be all mighty wrestler but Vince is in much better shape then him, Vince kicks Flair's ass all match untill the end where Flair finally mounts some offense and locks the figure four leg lock on and wins by submission. 5.WWF Undisputed Championship Champion Chris Jericho Vs. The Rock 4.5 stars out of 5 Great Match with a some nice high spots and a poor ending. Jericho trys to Rock bottom the rock through an annonuce table but Rock counters and Rock bottoms Jericho through the opposite table. Very sweet lol. Jericho wins by slamming rocks head off of the exposed turn buckle and then rolling him up and putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage. 6. Royal Rumble 2002 Winner gets a Undisputed title shot at Wrestlemania X-8 5 out of 5 stars Obviously the match we've been waiting for all night and It didn't dissapoint. In the Rumble Goldust, Val Venis, Godfather, and MR. Perfect, all make a return to action. the contest starts off with Rikishi and Goldust, There ar ea few people in the ring when the Undertaker comes out and absolutly destroys the competition, When Taker is all alone Maven comes out, to get picked apart but the Hardyz distract Taker and Maven drop kicks Taker over the top rope! Maven eliminates The Undertaker lol. Undertaker can't believe it and smacks Maven in the head with a chair and continues to beat him....the game comes out and it gets interesting, the game and Austin beat[s] ...out of each other. eventually Austin gets eliminated by Angle and Mr. Perfect "big bummer" when it is down to HHH and Angle, angle thinks he won but triple H's feet didn't touch the floor so HHH comes back in and clotheslines Angle over the top to win, Let the Game begin...Awesome Rumble best ever by far. DVD Extras:Exclusive Interviews with Goldust, Venis, Godfather, and Mr. Perfect after the Rumble.Spike and Tazz review there match. Kurt Angle and Stone Cold promos. And Triple H's return to the WWF in Madison Square Garden Now a few weird minor problems with Royal Rumble 2002 when they released it on DVD they totally took out the theme song ...and put something made up over it, This[is bad]cuz it totally ruins the Royal Rumble Promo when Austin keeps saying What? where the song says the say I'm cocky and I say What?....also they took edges new theme changed that back, Undertakers Theme changed that to soemthing I've never heard, and took RVDs theme and switched that to the original. Whats going on??? Overall Great PPV great start for 2002 hope my review helped you decide wheather to buy this DVD or not.
Rating: Summary: LET THE GAME BEGIN Review: Well this is Royal Rumble 2002.Although not as good as Royal Rumble 2000, but the actual Rumble match was one of the best lately. As for the other matches, they were a little dissapionting. Taz & Spike vs Dudly boyz: Tag titles are on the line. This match was abit short and i think they should have put a stipulation such as no dq as these 4 were big stars in ECW and they would have put on a nice classic show.Athother then that it was an average opener and started things off nicely. Edge vs William Regal: Intercontinental Championship on the line.It was better than i thought it would have as Edge and Regal have been fueding for a while now and with Regal and his brass knucks makes this ending controversial. Vince Mcmahon vs Ric Flair: Street Fight rules match as these 2 buisness partners go at it like nothing else, well not really, this was a bit dissapionting. They should have made this match for raw.Hardly any weapons used except for a pipe. Both men get bloodied but this is a slow brawl, but you still have to give the credit as they are fairly old. Trish vs Jazz : Womens Championship on the line.I like Jazz she has Attitude and good wrestling. As for Trish she is also showing her ability to wrestle and is getting better everytime she has a match. As for this match it wasnt to bad but was one of those that could have been a bit better. The Rock vs Jericho : WWF and World Championship titles on the line as the Undisputed Champion "the living legend" he likes to call him self takes on the most Electrifying man in sports entertainment history The Rock in a hard fought battle once again. This match doesnt beat there No Mercy match but none the less still nice main event. 30 MEN ROYAL RUMBLE TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER 1 CONTENDER AT THE SPECTACLE EXTRAVAGANZA WRESTLEMANIA: Rikishi starts things off as HHH finishes it.between that you have a few surprising and entertaining moments. As the return of Mr Perfect, Goldust, Godfather, Val Venis Also RVD's 1st Royal Rumble and he doesnt last too long in it (which is dissapionting) but makes more impact than any other patcipant & the ending of the Rumble brings back memories. All in all some of the matches were let downs but the RUMBLE was entertaining. This DVD will add nicely to the wwf fan's collection, Although i did like Royal Rumble 2000 better because of its great matches. For this PPV i suggest for the new fan to hire before you make your mind as some people have different opinions. RECOMENDED (viewng before buying)
Rating: Summary: Best WWF Royal Rumbe in years! Review: What a great WWF Royal Rumble this was. If only the WWF would stop putting those stupid women's division matches on major events, it could have been perfect. The Royal Rumble match was the best in a long time. It was very exciting to watch. Look at the names who participated in the Royal Rumble match this year and you'll understand why: Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Kane, Booker T and a returning Curt Hennig, also known as Mr. Perfect. All these superstars gave a tremendous effort in the Rumble match and made it one of the best and most exciting in many years. About the championship match - Chris Jericho defends against The Rock - personally I don't think these two are great wrestlers, but they sure know how to make a great and excting match. The rest of the card is pretty average, but this event is worth buying for the these 2 matches alone, also because they took most of the event's time.
