Summary: 18 years has led to this one night!
Review: I really liked this Wrestlemania my only real problem is how the WWF portrayed the nWo before and after this event.
1.I.C. Title, RVD vs. Regal(c): For some reason, some consider this a dream match but nonetheless it was an okay opener.
2.Euro Title, DDP(c)vs.Christian: Good match.
3.Hardcore Title, Goldust vs. Maven(c):Along with HIAC at WMXV(and some others I'm sure), a total discrace to the legacy of WM.This match and angle throughout the show should have been used as more time to other matches.
4.Kane vs. Angle: Very good match but some problems I had with it is there was no moonsault from Kurt, it had a (not so good) ending and it should have been placed as the match before the main event.
5.No Disqualification, Flair vs. Undertaker: If Flair can put on a match like this at 54 imagine what he was like in his prime. Especially great performance by Undertaker making a man who's north of 50, and who's half his size look like he still gave the Taker a run for his money.
6.Edge vs. Bokker T: Normal quality match but terrible buildup.
7.Austin vs. Hall: This match should have been a bigger part of the card. Only problem with the buildup was Austin kidnapping Hall. Also why is Nash billed on the tape as the special enforcer but J.R. and The King were surprised when he came out. Having Nash really be the enforcer would have been better as it would make the odds more against Austin.
8.Fatal Fourway Elimination Tag Team Title,Billy & Chuck(c)vs. Dudleyzvs.Hardyzvs.A.P.A:Very good showing with just about everybody doing their finisher.
9.Icon vs. Icon, Rock vs. Hogan: Very electrifying match, but my only real problem was how Rock said this will determine who is the best ever. That excludes Flair,Michaels,Austin.....and the list goes on.
10.Triple Threat Women's Title,Jazz(c)vs.Trishvs.Lita: Okay showing here. Mainly used to settle the crowd down for the main event.
11.Main Event,WWE Undisputed Championship,HHHvs.Y2J:pretty decent main event but can't help thinking it would have been better if Jericho was the face and Triple H the heel.

Summary: Icon vs. Icon, Hulk Hogan versus The Rock
Review: The only reason to own this on VHS or DVD is to watch the Rock and Hulk Hogan. As a WWF fan for about 20 years, this is one of the greatest matches I have ever seen -- more for the Drama than for the wrestling.

With the Rock's movie career blossoming, and with Hogan nearing retirement, this was likely Hulk Hogan's last big push in professional wrestling and it could turn out to have been the beginning of the Rock's swan song. While not billed as the "Main Event," this match clearly was -- pitting the hero of yesterday against the hero of today.

Despite the World Wrestling Federation's best attempts to vilify Hulk Hogan in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania, the Hulkster entered the ring against the Rock in Toronto's Sky Dome as the obvious fan favorite. Throughout the duration of the contest, the Hulkster is cheered wildly, much to his own amazement.

While the Rock is victorious to the jeers of the crowd, Hulk Hogan's popularity in his return to Wrestlemania caused WWF writers to turn Hulk Hogan into the Heavyweight champion the next month.

The rest of Wrestlemania was a real let down, the following matches were anti-climatic.

It is a rare occasion that one match makes an entire event. But this is one of them.

Summary: best wrestlemania ever!
Review: every match on the card was good. especially taker vs. flair, hhh vs. jericho, rock vs. hogan, hall vs. austin, rvd vs. regal, and kane vs. angle. great ppv!!!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great PPV
Review: WMX8 is a great ppv.
IC Title- Very good match. RVD and Regal have good Chemistry, they had a IC title match on RAW in July that was good. 7/10

European Title- DDPs last PPV match, not on par with Regal-RVD. 5/10

Hardcore Title- Too short, and I was unhappy they put on Drowning Pool before showing Spike-Crash backstage.

Kane-Angle One of the better matches of the card. Angle is always entertaining, and he cut a good promo before the match. 8/10

Flair-Undertaker NO DQ My Favorite Match. Arn Anderson run-in highlight of Wrestlemania! 10/10

Edge-Booker T Very good match, but no build-up. 6/10

Austin-Hall Good, but not great. Nash's involement was a dissapointment, as it hurt nWo's credibility. 6/10

Tag Titles- Something good out of a recently dissapointing tag division. I would've liked to see a clean win. 8/10

Rock-Hogan I would have porefered fore Hogan to stay in the nWo. 9/10

Womans Title- Better than average Womans match, but still not good. 3/10

WWE Title-Great match 3rd best of the night, behind Rock-Hogan and Flair-Undertaker. Triple H and Y2J put on a great match.9/10

I would also Recomend Royal Rumble 2002.

Summary: Throwback to the Beginning.........
Review: Wrestlemania X8 was a great event. It had eleven matches all together, with the best being Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock. Personally, I can't see why anyone would be annoyed with this classic match. The so-called "wrestling fans" that were upset that Hogan was featured as the headliner are not as big fans as they think. This was Hulk's last Wrestlemania. He's not going to be around for more than a few more months before he retires. He deserved to go out the way hecame into the WWF, on top. The card was good and delivered what eveyone expects from Wrestlemania, it was a notch above the usual WWF pay-per-view. At the beginning of the event the camera was awful and with the perfomances of Saliva and Drowning Pool on the way, I thought that it was going to be a long night. But before the first match was over I had changed my mind. The pace of the show picked up and never let up for about three and half hours. Grant it there were no gimmick matches(cage matches, TLC, etc.) but that was becuase the event stood well enough on its own. Hogan and Flair (the two oldest men on the card), gave two of the best performances, along with Rob Van Dam. I saw Hogan do moves he has never ever done, even when he was as young as the Rock. There really wasn't a bad match and every WWF title was on the line. The Chris Jericho/ Triple H match shouldn't have been last because both men have given better performances. You could tell the work that went into the set and production which makes the event really feel like the blockbuster it is. This isn't the best entry into the Wrestlemania series but it is still one of the best of the eighteen we have seen so far. It's a great wrestling show with some memorable matches, that should not be missed by any wrestling fan.

Summary: Great buildup, worst Wrestlemania finish in a long time
Review: WWF Wrestlemania 18
2002-Toronto, Ontario, Canada, The Skydome

Triple H tears his quad in a match with Jericho, Triple H is out 8 months, Triple H comes back and wins the Royal Rumble, and you better believe that the only man in the promotion who's got an in with the head writer who's also the boss's daughter will win the title over the clearly better wrestler.

Intercontinental Title Match:
RVD d. William Regal(c)

Good match for these two, they both have such unique styles that it's hard for anybody to get a great match going with them. RVD wins the match to become the best Intercontinental Champion in a long time, much like his great Hardcore Title reign last year.

4 stars/5

European Title Match
DDP d. Christian (c)

The old man with no future defeats Christian in what seemed like a squash to me. The booking made less sense than the European Title itself. Thank God the Euro belt is done for.

1 star/5

Hardcore Title Match

Goldust vs. Maven (c)
Winner: Spike Dudley
Loser: The fans

Watch this overbooked fiasco and tell me the 24/7 rule doesn't make the title pointless. The 24/7 shenanigans proceed throughout the night but i will give it 1 star due to Maven dropping the title. Good riddance to bad champions.

1 star/5

The Hurricane d. Spike Dudley (c) Hardcore Title impromptu match

The title changes again, whassup wit dat?

The Undertaker d. Ric Flair (No Disqualification)

The Undertaker finishes off Flair with the Tombstone. Pretty good match for two guys way past their prime. I marked out for the Tombstone and so did the fans in Toronto. The last ride [stinks].

3 stars/5

Mighty Molly d. Hurricane (c) Hardcore Title impromptu match

It's not really a match, Molly smacks Hurricane (her "mixed tag" partner of the time) in the head with something and he's down for an easy 3.

Steve Austin d. Scott Hall

I can't blame the guy for walking out the next night, you had the best year of your career in 2001 and in 2002 the highlight of your wrestlemania match is you drinking molson instead of budweiser.

1 star/5

Tag Team Title-4 Corners Match

Billy and Chuck (c) d. The Hardyz, The Acolytes, and The Dudleyz in a 4 corners tag team match

Yawn. Especially after the great tag team division of the last 2 years and the wrestlemania ladder matches this was a huge disappointment. Billy and Chuck dealt the death blow to the tag belts.

1 star/5

Hardcore Title Impromptu-Christian d. Mighty Molly (c)

It doesn't matter anyway. Christian drops it in the next segment.

The Rock d. Hulk Hogan

This is the first time a heavily hyped Hogan match has delivered since his WWF tenure. Even though he is a shadow of his 80s self, it's way better than any match he's had in WCW. Who can believe that Hulk Hogan was the only investment that Vince made in the 'nWo purchase' that was worth it. The Rock pulls out the clean pinfall.

Women's Title Match

Jazz d. Lita and Trish Stratus (c)

There's some good and bad in this, the good, two of the three women in the WWF that can wrestle (Lita and Trish) are involved. Trish has worked pretty hard over the last year to be over as a wrestler. The bad news is that Jazz takes the pinfall, despite not being over at all and being a terrible wrestler. Why did the WWF pick up Jazz?

3 stars/5 for effort

Undisputed title match

Triple H d. Chris Jericho (c)

Triple H looks like some kind of wounded animal throughout the entire match. Chris Jericho can't even carry Triple H to a great match, Jericho dominates pretty much the whole time and Stephanie McMahon (obviously) gets involved in the match. Despite Chris Jericho's awesome diplay of ring psychology throughout the match and great heel performance, Triple H pulls out the damn win. And it's a crying shame because if Jericho was able to hold the belt a little longer he would've been the most over WWF champion in years.

4 stars/5 (rating boosted because Stephanie McMahon was off TV for 4 months after this match)

All in all it's worth watching and sadly it's the second best WWF pay per view of the year behind July's Vengeance. If you can find it to rent, it's okay. The best part of the show is that the old guys pull their weight.

Summary: The Showcase Of The Immortals
Review: The 18th installment of the annual spectacle proved as good if not better than most but not as good as 17.
1.Intercontinental Title RVD vs. Regal(c): For some reason some consider this a dream match but it was still pretty good.
2.European Title DDP(c) vs. Christian: A lot of people dislike this match but I was really surprised at how good it was.
3.Hardcore Title Maven(c) vs. Goldust: Why waste valuable time at your biggest show and take time away from other matches with this ridiculous match. Sunday Night Heat quality at WrestleMania.
4.Kurt Angle vs. Kane: Not thier best and disappointed that Kurt didn't do his moonsault but overall okay.
5.NO DQ Undertaker vs. Ric Flair: Probably match wise the contest of the night.
6.Edge vs. BookerT: Worst build you'll ever find, besides Flair vs. Eddie at KOR, but good match.
7.Stone Cold vs. Scott Hall: The WWE didn't properly build up the nWo in any way, shape or form but okay outing here.
8.Fatal Fourway Elimination Tag Team Titles Billy and Chuck(c)vs.Hardyzvs.A.P.A.vs.Dudleyz:Good match mainly due to all the finishers. I was really excited about this for some reason but that could be because it was orginally going to be A.P.A. vs. Tazz and Spike.
9.Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock: Electricity and intensity wise one of the best matches ever.
10.Triple Threat Women's Title Trish vs. Lita vs. Jazz(c): Pretty good match.
11.MAIN EVENT WWE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIOSHIP TRIPLE H vs. CHRIS JERICHO(c): If you like technicality in wrestling than you'll like this. Good match besides a few sloppy spots.

DDP vs. Christian - ****, suprising match just for the european championship, some near-falls.

Egde vs. Booker T - **, pretty boring.
Ric Flair vs. Undertaker - ****, Flair got more hardcore than most expected for his age.
Stone Cold vs. Scott Hall - ***1/2, some excitin action just wondering what Nash is going to do.
Tag-Team Championship - ***1/2, Billy & Chuck didn't do much, kind of boring.

Womens Championship - ***1/2 better than expected for a womens match
Jericho vs. HHH - ****, exciting, Jericho made the match better, HHH was to slow.
