Summary: Great for children of all ages
Review: We saw this movie and all of my children including my niece loved it. From 18 months to 11 years they were totally entertained by this movie. I am so glad to finally find something besides violence and ill manners in a children's video. Try it - you'll like it.

Summary: Great Video
Review: This video being the first one in the series is one of my favorites. In "The Tales From The Crisper" Juinor learns that God is bigger than anything. In episode 2 "Daniel In the Lions Den" Daniel gets thrown in the Lions Den" The Silly Song is funny! It's the Water Buffalo Song.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: I love these videos, especially Where's God When I'm Scared? My little 4 year old sister loves them, and I can actually watch them with her, and she loves to sing along. I also like that they don't shove God in your face. They are christian, but not obnoxiously so. They parody stories from the bible, but also from pop culture (Gilligans Island, etc.) I would tell anyone that this is a series of videos you can't go wrong buying.

Summary: In which Jr. Asparagus. . .
Review: . . .learns an important lesson about fear -- and the protection of God. "Frankencelery" is hysterical, as are the zillions of tiny monsters jumping in and out of Jr.'s bedroom furniture. "God is bigger than the Boogie Man" is certainly one of the most memorable songs in this series.

The series is further enhanced by a re-telling of the story of Daniel in the Lion's Den starring everybody's favorite cucumber, Larry. The story illustrates numerous values in a positive, non-threatening context, including the dangers of jealousy (as portrayed by three scallions in "Oh, no!"); the necessity of doing what's right -- even in the face of fear and personal danger; and the understanding that God is always with us.

In these days of fear and turmoil, this video could be an excellent tool for the parents of young children to talk about being afraid -- and how to overcome.

A wonderful follow-up to "Are You My Neighbor?"

Summary: Veggies That Go Down Easy
Review: I have a one year old son. I recently purchased this video with the hope that he would eventually grow into it. In the meantime I thought I would learn something about Veggie Tales, the videos that so many parents are talking about. Much to my delight, my one year old loves this video. Although his attention span usually lasts no longer than 5 minutes, he will watch the entire 30 minute video! What is even better is that this video teaches children moral lessons. I therefore have guilt free veggies. By that I mean I do not feel as if I am sitting my son in front of the TV merely to give me some time to myself. He is learning, and, because the videos are so well done, I actually enjoy sitting and watching this video with him.

Summary: I've never been a big fan of christian media but...
Review: This movie changed my mind. Very well done. The music is fun and I find my self singing along with my son. The movie messeage is good. The animation is slick and polished. An all around great video.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: Fantastic! Right on a child's level. The songs are wonderful and the messages are clear. I like the earlier videos better than the newer ones, but I have noticed that they are going back to the original concepts. Way to go!

Summary: Not for toddlers
Review: My 17 month old gets S-scared when I put on this video. He laughs and sings with all his other Veggie Tales videos but this one just makes him scream. The animations are dark and some of the music is like out of a horror film. It is a great video and I will take it out when he's a little older and can understand the message. It has another great silly song too. I highly recommend this for older children.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good, but newer VeggieTales videos are better
Review: As my family's VeggieTales collection has grown, this video has come to seem crude in comparison to Big Idea's later work. The animation is a little rough and the pacing is a little off compared to later VeggieTales videos.

Nevertheless, this video is still enjoyable. "God Is Bigger Than the Boogieman" remains a favorite VeggieTales song for my children.
