Summary: Not what I expected
Review: The movie version of this book was not what I expected. The book went into so many details that I just knew the movie would bring all of it out and it didn't. I expected the movie to convince someone who doesn't like to read books to pick up this book and continue through the series. I was disappointed.

Summary: A good compliment to the book
Review: I actually liked the movie. Although, I had been warned it wasn't that great (especially the special effects in the beginning that looked very computerized fake), I thought it was a good compliment to the book. I also felt the movie created some slight changes that made the storyline more realistic than the book had. For instance, the movie has a relationship with Hattie and Buck already established prior to the rapture, where he has helped her get a job at the UN. Hattie working for Carpathia later doesn't seem to be a farfetched at all. I thought that was a good change from the book. In the book, Hattie calling a guy she hardly knows asking him to introduce her to the most powerful man in the world (who just happened to have time to meet a reporter and a flight attendant he doesn't know right after the biggest catastrophe in mankind)was a literary stretch big time. So, there were a few things like that they changed in the movie I felt for the better. The movie was awfully short, but I still think it is worth the watch. I do love the books, but I am just as much looking forward to the next movie as well.

Summary: Don't even rent it!
Review: What a horrible movie. It has nothing to do with the acting. You can't blame bad acting when they're working with a terrible script. This film did absolutely no justice to the original text. Among its problems, first and foremost is the omition of essential characters, and the adding of pointless ones. If you decide not to heed my advice, and order it anyways, fast forward any scene involving the girl with the squigily mark on her forehead, (what the hell is that thing?).

If you're a fan of Christian mythology, or anything to do with revelation, then by all means, the story is fantastic. A cross between Tom Clancy and the Bible. But, and it's kind of ironic that I say it this way, for the LOVE OF GOD, read the book, avoid the movie.

Summary: Don't waste your money...
Review: Yes it may have the salvation message in it somewhere, from what i rememer (it's such a horrible move i don't watch it anymore) but it didn't seem very strongly presented. And even if it was presented perfectly the rest of the movie makes it seem silly. I love the books and one of my favorite books is the first one but this movie makes a disgrace of the books and even movies in general. It's only 90 min. and only kiddie movies are 90 minutes anymore. And you can't put a classic bestseller into a 90 min. movie either. They said it cost [price]mill but i don't belive that cause Omega Code was [price] mill and that was amazing. The effects in this movie are out of date and even laughable. There are plot holes in this movie like Rayoford finding what's left of his wife and son in bed while everyone else was hit by the disastor out side. Why did Buck jump on a 747 when neither Alan or Dirk lived in London in the movie version? They changed the movie so much it oculd be a different movie. All the reviews for this movie r horrible and any good review r written by those who r just happy a movie was made on a bestseller w/ a salvation message in it somewhere. But in reality this movie can't stand up to any other THIS day in age. The acting is cheasy yet heartfelt. But this movie is a waste of money. In fact the dvd doesn't have much to offer and they played a revised version in the theatres w/ better special effects (even tho it still looked fake) and aren't even going to release that on video. If u MUST see this movie for some strange reason rent it or get it at the Library first and don't waste your money as i did.

Summary: Disappointed By DVD Version
Review: The written series is without a doubt excellent but the I was truly disappointed when I watched the movie. I think the main reason is because I didn't "care" about the characters. The movie just didn't tug on any emotions whatsoever. It does have major potential to if perhaps it was longer and they gave the audience time to get to know and really care about the characters.

I think the DVD could be criticized and blown off by a secular audience because it was too choppy and Not believable where as the books hold you from beginning to end and may just scare the heaven into you!

Summary: Not what I expected
Review: This video wasn't up to par with the book. The book smelled like cookie dough, however, this movie smelled like rotten bubble gum. Anyway, the visual effects for this feature seem outdated and un-good. Most of the acting is rather cheesey.

Buy it if you're really into the series, otherwise, skip it.

Summary: The cornerstone of your DVD collection
Review: It your a Christian, and want a powerful witnessing tool, this is the movie to get. This movie really makes you think about your life and what will happen when Jesus comes back.

Case in point:
My wife and I watched this movie with her older sister who is not saved, by the end of the movie, my wifes sister was in tears asking how she could recieve Christ in her heart.

And if you are not a christian, this movie may very well save your life. Buy this movie, its the most important one to have in your collection. I would also recommend reading the books if you have time.

Summary: The new movie is coming out soon. Plus a review of movie 1!
Review: First things first, Left Behind II: Trib Force is coming out on October 29th 2002 according to Cloud Ten Pictures' website and the movie website on http://www.tribulationforce-themovie.com!

Now to this movie: This is a great adaptation to the book. This is a very terrifying thriller to watch! By terrifying I mean scary to think that Jesus will come back to take us up, and many will be left behind. No one wants to be left behind, but its worth thinking about (I DON'T WANT TO BE!) The movie is not suitable for ages 11 and under because of the considerable amount of violent content. The MPAA rated this PG-13 for violence and that is correct! I think a kids movie should be made for younger audiences. I mean they've made the dramatization of THE KIDS novels, I think there should be a movie that will feature all the novels so far! But hey until now ENJOY THE MATURE MOVIES, THEY ARE STILL GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
