Summary: Time-compressed, but good
Review: Even if you haven't read the book, go see the video. Worth it! I was pleasantly surprised by the choice of Kirk Cameron as Buck Williams, and inspired by Clarence Gilyard's "conversation" with God. I found the condensing of the book necessary and successful. Watch the video, or go see it in theaters, and then read the book.

Summary: It left me with too much to say!

I never understood.... but now I see the light and if I had only one wish, it would be that everyone esle could see it too.

Summary: No one will want to be Left Behind!
Review: Based on the first book in a series of bestsellers by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, this movie deals with the Christian issue of the Rapture. It also deals with the first period of the Tribulation and gives a taste of what it will feel like to be left behind.

Mass panic sets in as mother's realize their children are missing and wives and husbands find their spouses have left only their clothes, rings and shoes on airline seats. A State of Emergency is declared and the United Nations takes a prominent leadership role.

The story revolves around Biblical Prophecy of the End Times which will start with the disappearance of millions of people all over the earth. The prophecy to rebuild Solomon's Temple is finally to be realized and a Covenant of Peace is promised to Israel. This is the time of the rise of the Antichrist, although this movie doesn't take on the full story. This is just the beginning and it will spark your curiosity. You will want to know more.

My husband has read all the books in the series so far and says they are quite a bit more detailed than the movie. If you want to truly find out the whole story, perhaps watch this movie and then read all the books in the series. Yes, this has a made-for-TV feel about it. Kirk Cameron just seems very young in this movie and yet he plays the part of a journalist. Nicolae Carpathia (Gordon Currie who has a great accent) is evil and contrasts sharply with the softer nature of Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron).

If you are not a Christian, you will become very curious as to the story behind the story of Left Behind. While it does take a bit of study to find out exactly what the Bible prophesies, it is well worth the time it will take. If you want to be entertained along the way, then I recommend reading the full LaHaye/Jerry Jenkins series. I know I will be reading it soon! Even though I am very aware of the prophesies, never before have they been presented in such an entertaining way.

Summary: Feb. 2, 2001 Come see the movie in theaters
Review: I am part of the Trib Force Commandos-we are trying to encourage as many people as we can to come see the movie on the opening weekend in theaters. The movie is much like the book, if you have not read the book you should still go see the movie. It may prompt you to read the book and the rest of the series. I have read all of the books so far and I love the series. The series has become my favorite that I have ever read. Don't just watch the movie, come see it in theaters on the 2nd of Feb.

Summary: Excellent film
Review: Left Behind in one word: awesome! A well-picked cast and very fitting soundtrack bring the script and storyline to life. The movie is similar enough to the book series to allow readers to enjoy it while making the Biblical aspect easy enough to grasp for even the most lost of human souls to see the light. One of the many things I liked was that the important things weren't always posed in words, but through the simplest gestures. Sometimes one small action can make the biggest impression, and this movie proves that several times. I suggest that readers of the series as well as others keep an open mind and let this film work within you as God wills it.

Summary: Bringing the Bible to reality.
Review: Did you ever want to see some of what the Bible says about the end times in modern terms? Well, this is the movie for you. It is a gripping telling of the beginning of the book of Revleations. The prodcution values are very good. The casting is excellent and the performances on a par with any major Hollywood movie release. Finally a movie that puts some teeth into the telling of the end times.

Summary: February 2, 2001 - See it on the BIG SCREEN
Review: Left Behind is truly a SUPERB movie....a must see for anyone that loves Action/Adventure - or even possibly Science Fiction. While it is a Christian based storyline, it is easy to follow for anyone that enjoys to be entertained. From the first moment to the last second, you are captivated and mesmerized.

Producers of this movie have released it first on video, but will be hitting the big screen on February 2. Even though I have already seen the movie and read the book, I will be in line to by my movie ticket as well....it is truly that good!

Summary: Perhaps the beginning of a flow of Christian movies...
Review: When I bought this movie, I must admit that I had some reservations about whether it would match up to the book it was based on. However, this feeling of doubt was soon quelled as I saw how good the translation was from writing to live picture. The acting was well done, and has the potential to make an impact on Christians and non-Christians alike. I encourage everyone either to go buy the movie, or see its theaterical relase on Feb. 2, 2001.

Summary: Quality Entertainment
Review: Left Behind is a movie of exceptional quality in both plot and special effects. Not only is it a five star in entertainment value, but it is a five star in that it makes you think. At the end of this movie, not only do you reevaluate the condition of your own heart and status with God, but it inspires you to get off the sofa and go make a difference in the world. There are not a lot of movies you can see that will do that. The way the writers have taken Left Behind, the book and transformed it into a movie that draws you in till the last second is just remarkable. Since this movie is coming out in the theaters in February, I belive it deserves the biggest marketing campaign on the planet to get the message of this movie out to the nation. This movie speaks truth, Biblical truth, that everyone needs to hear whether they are Christians or not. It is an amazing movie, with an amazing message. Well Done.
