Summary: It's a good BASIC massage tape for beginners!
Review: As a massage therapist, sometimes my clients want to work on their boyfriends/girlfriends, spouses, etc. I have a few extra of these tapes just for these occasions. This insructional tape gives you all you want to know about getting the stress knots out, working out sore spots, some reflexology on hands and feet, working with the grain and against the grain of the muscles on your back, and gives techniques that you don't remember unless you have the tape to watch from time to ttime. It's great for everyone's library and my clients have thanked me repeatedly for getting it for them. It's also a good tape for working on the elderly or the young - if you're going to work on mom, grandma, or babies.

Review: Ever since I was young, I have always been interested in massage and physical therapy. When I got out of high school I became a physical therapist but never attained my additional goal of massage therapy. I had a husband and children and never seemed to have the time or money to enroll in a massage academy. I ran across this massage video when I was surfing the internet one day and decided to give it a shot. I figured it was worth trying since I didn't have any other venue in the near future to pursue massage. I found My Massage Video to be quite possibly the most interesting and informative information on massage I have come across. In a reasonable period of time and for a reasonable rate I have learned various techniques of massage therapy. It has not only provided self enrichment, it has also enhanced my career in that I'm multi-faceted and able to serve my clients better. I would wholeheartedly recommend this video to anyone seeking a career in massage therapy (or related sciences) or who has an interest and would like to pick up a new skill.

Summary: Good Material
Review: I bought this DVD to learn about massage. I thought what better place than a DVD called basic massage therapy. I guess I got a little more than what I bargained for. I gave me the basics but then went on to more advanced stuff. I'm glad it did because I learned a lot. All in all a good tape. I'd recommend it for someone who doesnt know much about massage and also for those who know a little more.

Summary: Very pleased with this video!!! Five Stars
Review: I bought this in VHS format - but many buy in DVD so I wanted to review it here as well. I was extremely happy with this video. It showed the basics - and that's just what I wanted. Most of us know that we carry stress in our shoulders and one of the things this video explained was the accupressure points in our body to relieve those stress knots. It also showed how to give a soothing swedish massage. I've used the techniques I've learned in the tape and always have someone who's fallen asleep by the end of the massage! (now THAT'S a compliment)! Thanks for a great basic tape that everyone should have.

Summary: Not very instructional
Review: I did not find this video very helpful at all. It is less of an instructional video than a "show and tell" video. It is essentially a video of the the RMT giving a client a massage with sparse narration. The angles used in the video are frustrating because the RMT *frequently* blocks what's going on with her body. The video could have benefitted from more cameras. I could have also benefitted from more narration that dealt more with what exactly thr RMT was doing and terminology used. As it was there wasn't enough, and the little narration spoken was often an endorsement of massage's benefits. As a novice, I had problems following the movements of an experienced professional who was going at full speed.

Summary: Back to Basics
Review: I studied massage therapy a few years ago and, due to some back problems, had to give it up for a couple of years. When my back finally got better, I wanted to start up my massage therapy again. I had lost my rhythm and touch, and forgotten some techniques. The Basic Massage Video (and DVD too), I found, is the best video for teaching and relearning the trade. After promptly receiving and reviewing the video, I was able to get my rhythm back and learned all over the massage therapy techniques. I would suggest this video to anyone, from novice to vastly experienced. John William

Summary: Super Tape! Super Price! Super Delivery!
Review: I used to be a massage therapist and so I know the benefits of what massage can do. A year ago I developed RLS (restless leg syndrom) which is a "cousin" in the Parkinson family. I bought the basic and advanced tapes so I could teach my significant other how to effectively massage me to reduce the shakiness in my left leg. I had a difficult time communicating with him exactly what to do, but after watching the tapes, he caught on and is extremely helpful in reducing my shaking. Thank you for such a professional presentation at a more than reasonable price. And I definitely appreciate your fast delivery once it was ordered.
