Rating: Summary: Highly recommended ! Review: As a nurse and a massage therapist, I highly recommend this to those that are beginning or are into the practice. You'll have a complete understanding of what you need to know if you're beginning and a it's a good refresher course for those in the business. I firmly believe that massage IS THERAPY - NOT just rubbing the skin. Many patients come to me with sincere problems that require a knowledge of the body, the skeletal system and the muscular system. This will help you help your client. Be aware and care! Your clients will love you for it.
Rating: Summary: Cool video set with loads of information. Review: I stumbled upon this video set not knowing much about massage. Its a two video box set with one video for basic and one for advanced massage. This is just what I needed. If anything, it's a little too much information. Good thing I have a video to watch as often as I need. I'd recommend this and I think I'll probably get it as a gift for a couple people when Christmas rolls around.
Rating: Summary: The Best Massage Video Combo I've Seen Review: I was very pleased with the quality and completeness of the massage combo. As a nursing student and a former massage therapist I felt this covered the subject matter very well and was conveniently organized into both basic and professional sections (which helped me to categorize). The price is also really good for the amount of information there. I would recommend this to everyone.

Rating: Summary: Strictly for Professional Massage Therapists Review: One of the DVDs is just about business tips like book keeping and records for a massage business. The other one is for people who want something to go along with a technical course in massage. It's not really that well filmed so you won't want to watch it more than once, unless maybe you are setting up a massage business.
Rating: Summary: Great DVD with Great Information!! ***** Review: Thanks for such a wonderful insight into soothing a baby! The little one obviously enjoyed the attention and I look forward to giving my daughter (only a month to go now) the same kind of attention. I watched it first and then my husband and I watched it together. I suggested he get used to massaging by rubbing my feet while we "both" enjoyed the DVD together ... good suggestion - huh??? hehe. Seriously though. This was [money]well spent and I intend to buy it for several of my friends who are pregnant and will be having baby showers. It a very unique gift and I'm sure they will enjoy it as much as I do.
Rating: Summary: A Great Combo Package Deserves A Great Review !!! Review: Thanks guys (or gals) for putting these two DVD's together! I loved them both. It's great to have these to refer to and remind myself of some of the techniques that I forget from time to time. I love reflexology and these help me with that too! Having them in the pack saved me money - but I would have bought them separately anyway. I also bought a combo package as a gift for a dear friend who keeps borrowing mine. This way she'll have her own!!! <smile>
Rating: Summary: Great For Aspiring Massage Therapists Review: These two dvds really do cover a wide range of massage techniques. The Basic Massage dvd is best to base your routine around. The Professional Massage dvd goes into more technical detail with names of different muscles and tissues. The Professional Massage dvd also goes one step further and gives some tips on setting up your own massage business. The reason why I give this product only 4 stars is the production quality is poor, especially on the Professional Massage dvd. The picture quality is grainy and when the instructer points to notes on a dry erase board, the picture is so over-lighted that you can not read parts of the board. However, this dvd is still worth the cost for all the information that you get. For those people who are interested in massage therapy as a career, I also suggest the book "Massage Therapy Career Guide" by Steve Capellini (ISBN: 1562533827). This book covers all the behind the scenes business to becomming a massage therapist. One of the best parts of the book gives tips on massage tests. I have yet to find anything more nerve racking than giving a test massage to a potential future employer, but this section takes a lot of tension out of the situation. Other great features include liability insurance, taxes, third-party billing, dream and nightmare days in the life a massage therapist and the Resource section is lengthy, concise and filled with addresses, phone numbers and URLs.
Rating: Summary: Great for massage students Review: This is a great learning tool for learning Swedish massage and some trigger points. There is nothing like seeing it done physically as opposed to seeing it in a book. The video is done well and I used it to help me get through massage school. I also found it as a helpful reference when I studied for the National Certification Examination for Massage and Bodywork. I also found the following excellent preparation sources for the national certification exam. Patrick Leonardi's "The Ultimate Study Guide for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork: Key Review Questions and Answers" Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3. The study guides were so complete for the type of questions encountered on the national exam. This is a must buy for anyone taking the National Certification Exam. These books helped me to pass the first time.
Rating: Summary: Just what I needed Review: This is definitely a 5 star title. I haven't seen many other massage videos but this is the best. I read the description of this set and decided to go for it and just get it. It turned out to be easy enough for me as a beginner but it still has enough material for me to keep improving and learning. I know my boyfriend is looking forward to me practicing for hours and hours. Its a great tape. Id really recommend it.
