Rating: Summary: Workout you'll want to do Review: Being overweight and under-exercised, I wanted a video that I could feel successful with; well this is the one. It was easy to follow, no fancy moves and I still break a sweat. A great video for the morning when all you are trying to do is wake up and get your exercise in. Perfect for those of us who have 20, 30, 40+ pounds to lose. If you are in great shape, it's probably not the video for you. But for me it was nice to have real people on the screen, just trying to exercise.
Rating: Summary: Beginners: Buy It! Review: Don't be fooled by the name. This video is appropriate for all ages! Leslie Sansone leads a group of exercisers in a 2 mile walk with an upbeat tempo. Moves are easy to follow. The pace is brisk and she varies the steps enough to prevent boredom. There is no jumping around, just simple steps paced to get your heartrate up. I do miss having the "distance meter" at the bottom of the screen that Leslie uses in some of her other tapes but she does tell you when you have done a mile. She is fun and encouraging as ususal. This is a nice walking tape!
Rating: Summary: This Video has helped me loads! Review: I am 46 and bought this video years ago, but only since Jan. have used it everyday since..Yes, as some other reviewers say, Leslie does get off on the wrong foot, but she is so totally REAL, not like some of these others that are so false..She is ditzey and fun..It DOES get repetitious, but then I let my mind roam as I do whats best for me..combining this tape and Weight Watchers diet, I have now lost 65 pounds..I will continue to march along with Leslie, she's the greatest!
Rating: Summary: An Exercise Video I can Stick to! Review: I bought this video based on the "glowing" reviews of others. I'm glad I did! Leslie is very encouraging throughout the video (which is something those of us who are over weight need). Her "you can do it" attitude and "just keep moving" encouragement make the time go fast. There are no fancy steps to learn and you can get the workout the first time you watch it! This is finally an exericise video I will use for a long time to come! I've ordered more of Leslie's videos and can't wait to get home and "walk" my way to fitness!
Rating: Summary: Fuels motivation Review: I checked this video out at the library along with the regular two-mile walk. I absolutely love it. Yes, it's from the early 90s and there's a little too much hairspray and thick black eyeliner, but Leslie's enthusiasm and encouragement make you tend to forget about it. Now I look forward to getting up in the morning and exercising before I even start my work day. Before, it was the last thing I'd think about doing, and then it wouldn't get done at all and I'd be disappointed that I let another day go by without taking better care of myself. I found the regular two-mile walk too difficult; I thought I was going to keel over dead by the 3/4 mile mark because there were so many lunges, but the over-40 tape is just right for those of us who've kept saying "I'll start working out tomorrow." If it's a little too easy, just add some of the arm movements or knee lifts and kicks when she's instructing just marching in place (like a couple of the people in the tape do), or add some wrist or ankle weights. As Leslie says so often (to paraphrase), it's not about fancy moves, it's about keeping moving, keeping your heart rate up, changing your body for the good. I've just ordered this tape and I'll definitely buy a few more just for variety.

Rating: Summary: very motivating for the beginner Review: I love this video as it's the perfect introduction to exercise. I am really out of shape, and the more strenuous of her videos was really discouraging to me as a beginner. This is a good workout, and I don't dread doing it as I have other videos. In fact, I like Leslie's enthusiasm for walking and exercise; it helps keep me motivated. The only downside is that the camera focuses a lot on some of the walkers who "march to their own drummer"; that is, they aren't in step with Leslie at all. I try to ignore the screen when this happens, because it really throws off following the music. (the woman on Leslie's left with the black hair, white T-shirt with yellow print is the worst offender. She's very enthusiastic, but is nowhere near to keeping the beat of the music.) Still, this is a great exercise video, and I recommend it highly for those needing help getting started.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for Beginners! Review: I've been using Leslie's 1,2,3 Super Fat Burning Video for a few months now and decided to give this one a try for a change of pace. I'm only 23, but do have a lot of extra weight to lose and I would recommend this video to anyone starting out. If you are very uncoordinated like I am, this video is perfect for you, because it's just a few basic moves combined with marching in place (walking). It's short, very easy to follow, and Leslie keeps you motivated through out the whole video. If you are at an advanced fitness level than I would skip over this tape though and try one of her other ones instead. I've only been working out a few months now and find this to be a little too easy for me. I really only use it when i'm feeling a little lazy, but don't want to skip my work out all together. If you are new to exercising and are looking for a place to start though, this is your video.
Rating: Summary: Walk Aerobics is for fun and fitness Review: Purchasing Leslie Sansone's Walk Aerobics 40-Plus Workout has been one of the best decisions I have made. It's refreshing and encouraging to see that those participating on the video are of different shapes and sizes, and different levels of fitness, instead of 'body beautiful'. The exercises are easy to perform and at 30-35 minutes in length the workout is not too long. Being overweight, over 50 and out of condition, I am happy to find a workout that I can actually perform comfortably and feel enervated afterwards, and now motivated to exercise daily. I have now purchased several other videos in the series. I recommend this video to anyone who is not interested or does not have the time to go to the gym, doesn't want to pound the pavements and wants an easy-to-perform exercise routine that will greatly improve one's overall fitness level, have fun and burn calories at the same time.
