If you crave variety in your workout, Your Yoga Practice--Iyengar Yoga with Jason Moring: 312 Daily Practice Sequences will deliver a challenge that is sure to never be redundant. Formatted with 312 different sequences, participants can choose from a 30, 45, and 60-minute session that each present a different sequence. This is a great design for those who get bored easily, but this layout lacks continuity and fluidity between each posture. For example, after completing a pose Moring stands up, only to have to lie down for the next posture. There is a healthy amount of down time between each pose, which makes this practice less physically straining. Detailed instructions are given about form on specific postures, however little attention is given to body alignment and breathing. This would be a great arrangement for any yoga practitioner who is looking to increase his or her knowledge about poses and terminology. Everything from warrior poses to back bends are used in this workout and it includes a broad spectrum of intensity levels. Beginning to advanced participants will find postures that are comfortable and may learn a few new poses. Variety is the boast here, but if you are lacking knowledge on proper alignment and breathing technique, this session does not deliver a wealth of information. Flexibility and strength can be increased through this program, but you may want to do a little homework on safety before you start this course. --Olivia Voigts
