Summary: Excellent
Review: The highest praise I can give for this workout is to say that this video along with Tae-bo Advanced and Tammilee Webb's I Want That Body is one the best exercise videos I own. I only wish I could find some more that are equally challenging and consistently interesting.

Summary: Feels like you're in boot camp!
Review: Okay, I bought this video about 3 years ago and brought it out of retirement after 2 years and for only 30 minutes, this video kicks your (...)(!!! I was sweating more than I do at the gym, getting my heart rate up, my legs felt like they were going to fall off after the first time doing the workout, it was great! Highly recommended, use it in addition or as a substitution to your regular workout for about 6 weeks for noticeable results.

Summary: Not a bad workout for 30 min.
Review: I work out 45 min a day at the gym at work (either cardio classes or weights) and I wanted to do a little something on the weekend. I browsed Amazon and found this DVD which does cardio and weights. I find it to be a fairly effective work out if you're looking for some light cardio and weights on your off day. It definitely does get the heart pumping, and I even broke a slight sweat while doing the video. I find the weight portion to be effective also (I was using 8 and had to drop down to 5 for some of the shoulder excercises).

I would definitely recommend this to someone who wants a short, effective work out on a light day.

Summary: GREAT FULL BODY WORKOUT
Review: I Absolutely love this tape, since I brought it several months ago, it has become my favorite. It provides a complete workout, with lots of heart healthy aerobics (marching), calisthenics and sculpting with weights. I love the cueing and find the instructor very motivating. I only wish it was longer than 30minutes..I'd love a one hr boot camp!

Summary: Good workout but too short.
Review: I really enjoyed this DVD but just found it too short. I'm a mum of a toddler so I will use it as something to fall back on when I don't have time for a full workout. Its 30 minutes in total and when you remove the warm up and stretch parts there's not a lot left to get you sweating.

I think the strength training aspect is very good and I really liked the combo moves, which really pack the muscle groups in. I would not call this a cardio DVD though.

I used my heart rate monitor and my hr when into my cardio zone for exactly 3 mins and 53 seconds out of 30 mins!

This DVD is ideal for adding to your existing workout, really good for strength training and great for beginners. I would not recommend relying on it for your cardio workout though.

Summary: Makes me feel strong
Review: I feel so energized and strong after this workout! I bought this video over a year ago and still find it fun enough to use about once a week. When I first started I was using 5 and 8 pound dumbbells and I've advanced to using 10 and 12 pounders. The workout is fun, safe and challenging. My only complaint is that as I've gotten stronger I've outgrown the abs workout a bit. I also usually prefer DVDs, but since you'll do the whole workout in sequence it's not too bad on VHS.
I wish this instructor would make more videos-- I'd buy them all!

Summary: "Boot Camp" Style Weight Training for a Time Crunch
Review: Workout Description: about 20 minutes of toning (alternates between standing and floor work; fairly evenly split between with upper and lower body with only about 5 minutes of ab work) with 5 minute warm-up and 3 minute stretch for a total of 30 minutes
Workout Level: intermediate with one student demonstrating lower impact / less complicated moves
Instructor: Sue Hitzman (Certified instructor, trainer, and exercise physiologist). Sue cues well and offers a decent number of pointers on form. She is very enthusiastic and encouraging, and she seems to have a good sense of humor. It's nice to have an instructor, particularly a woman, who isn't obsessed with how many calories you're burning or how this will make your butt look. Sue is genuinely interested in lifting weights for its own sake, and she looks like someone whose philosophy is "Fitness is not just a state of body, it's also a state of mind." Sue works both sides evenly and expects you to mirror her moves.
Class: 6 fairly young and muscular women and 1 man. Some class participation (whoops and groans).
Music / Set: The beat-heavy instrumental music isn't exciting. The bright interior set is a bit strange: painted floor, brick walls, exposed steel beams-and a large metal fan on the back wall.
Equipment Needed: sneakers, 1 pair of dumbbells (your choice of weight)
Caveats: Previous weight-lifting experience is helpful. Pay attention to your form. In particular, make sure your knee never goes past your toes whenever you are doing squats or lunges.
Additional Comments: This workout is compact with respect to time and space. At 5'8", I am able to easily fit this in my 6' by 8' space.
Although this is a weight-lifting workout, there are a number of moves that will get your heart rate up. This isn't enough to count as a cardio workout, though. Those who have been working out with weights a lot (such as with the Firm) will find this too easy; if you're relatively new to home weight lifting, you're more likely to find this beneficial. In contrast, those new to exercise may find this too challenging at first.
I like to combine this with additional ab work (either Pilates or Tamilee Webb's I Want Those Abs) to get a full-body workout in under 45-minutes. I also find that I have to do additional stretching (maybe one segment from Tamilee Webb's Total Body Stretch) in order to properly prevent soreness and injury after this workout. Still, this is a great way to get a workout in when I'm pressed for time. I'm also considering trying to do it twice once I've moved up to heavier weights and find this getting easy.
I don't have any of the other Crunch workouts, of which there are many. While the instructor and students are very enthusiastic, at times the "boot camp" theme gets a little cheesy. (Sue even wears a camouflage top.) The camera keeps shifting back to the "pretty blond girl," whose form isn't great enough to warrant so much attention, but that's obviously not the point.
The DVD allows you to select your chapter, which you can use to skip the introduction. There are no extras.

Summary: great cardio & toning workout
Review: As a beginner I find this to be one of the best work out videos I own or have seen. AS a beginner to home work out (and work out in general, bad me!) one of my biggest fears is staying motivated and interested in what i'm doing. I don't want to dread the workout even more then I would normally. This video however was excellent, highly motivational, not overly difficult, and it keeps your attention throughout!! My biggest complaint is probably that the video isn't longer and I can't continue on with this type of workout!

This video is definately going to be spending plenty of time in my machine, in fact i don't see me stopping this any time soon!
