Rating: Summary: Just Plain Awful Review: I've been doing Pilates & Yoga for quite a while now and I was really disappointed when I rented this video. I felt like I was in an aerobics class. It was pure cardio. That's fine if that's what you're into but if the title says Pilates, you shouldn't be bouncing all over the place. Supposedly she's a very superior Pilates instructor but if she was offering free lessons, I'd pass.

Rating: Summary: new to working out Review: I've really liked this DVD. I've been working out every morning now for about 5 weeks. This has been a workout that has kept me going. It's fun, yet challenging, but it's explained well enough that it didn't go too fast for me. I used to be a runner in high school but it's been many years since I've worked out. I also have Total Mix, but I haven't been able to do it yet--I'm really out of shape! I think Total Mix will be more challenging but I'll be able to move to it soon. I also have another of Jennifer Kries' videos that targets abs, hips, etc. It's very similar to 3-Dimensional toning in the exercises she does, but it's more intense. Some of the reviews have noted the fuzziness of the picture and the "80's music", which is true, but it hasn't been a show-stopper for me.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Video Review: If you are going to buy this video be aware that she moves very quickly through the exercises without a lot of instruction. It's great once you are used to the tape to not have to hear all the instruction, but the first time you may need to just watch the video without trying the moves. The ballet section caught me offguard at first (I didn't know the difference between 1st and 2nd position), but I'm catching on. Also, she rushes through a lot of the moves in the pilates section, so I always set aside 15 minutes after the video to do more reps of the side series and other leg exercises. This video is a lot of fun; I don't think I will tire of it anytime soon.
Rating: Summary: If you have other JK videos... Review: Save your money. She is great but seems to recycle whatever she used before with a slight variation. Disappointed.
Rating: Summary: 4 types of workout in one DVD... Review: Since I discovered Ms. Jennifer Kries workouts DVD's a year ago, I become a huge fan and have almost all her DVD's and Videos. She is my personal home trainer! and her workouts changed my body's look and posture. This DVD is one of the best out there. The DVD has two workout segments{ you can do both or one at a time,if you are a very busy person}. Workout 1 is a combination of jazz, ballet and yoga moves {30 mins.}Workout 2 is a classic Pilates core conditioning moves{20 mins}. Both workouts are invigorating and exciting. If you are a total begginer, pls be patient bec. she doesn't stop and explain. She talks while doing the moves, you need to position yourself where you can see her while doing the moves but when you come to the point where you knew the moves by heart all you have to do is listen to her voice. I like itbec. it doesn't bore you and you constantly moving}you will master the moves in time and you will be glad she's not one of those instructor who thinks you are so clueless! My advice is to watch the tape first. She always reminds you about breathing and just to do the moves to your capacity. She is freakingly limber so don't despair if you found out you are nowhere near her capacity. The DVD also includes tips from the expert. They discuss about how the physical wellness improves the quality of our lives. The DVD feature music only segments,if you already master the moves and tired of listening to the talk.{ Jennifer is not tiring to listen at all, she has a pleasant voice and personality, not at all intimidating} If you are looking for a variety and new kind of workout in one setting, try this and you won't be dissapointed.Crosstrain with other of her workouts Precision Pilates and Perfect Mix. Another of her bests, you won't be lost with the moves bec. some of it are introduced or repeated in these 3 DVD workouts. I also recommend the other Ms Kries workouts : 1.The method:Scuplting,{pilates standing series with 2 to 3 lbs weight. 2Dance to fitness (jazz and aerobics}, 3.Target Specifics:ABS{pilates moves}, Arms pilates standing series with 3lbs weight}, Legs{ballet and pilates leg series} and thigh{ yoga/ballet}. Each segments is 15 mins.long. Have a good workout and you will see the difference it makes in your body in no time!
Rating: Summary: Find the pilates Review: The title of this video and the description of the workouts on the back are both misleading. There is no mention of ballet, dance or yoga and all three are incorporated into the workout. Also Jennifer Kries doesn't offer any instruction before she begins most of the moves, which is frustrating and could be potentially dangerous.
Rating: Summary: Great Workout but EXTREMELY Poor DVD Quality Review: The workout is great but this DVD should not have been released with such a poor video quality. It's so blurry, it seems that it was not done by professional people. Homemade videos are better than that. I have some VHS by Jennifer Kries and the video qualities are excellent. If possible you should watch first before you spend money on it. Good luck...
Rating: Summary: my FAVORITE workout tape ever! Review: This is a great tape! I especially like the first workout. (I actually just wore my VHS out and came on here to buy a new DVD.) This tape is perfect for those who are dance or yoga inclined, as I am (a former dancer). It gives you a good cardio workout and it really works your muscles, but yet you don't feel exhausted doing it. You do flowing movements and stretches, and you will especially feel it in your legs. This is the first video I have found that I really like, and the 30 minute segments are a perfect length. I can easily work it into my schedule. Highly recommended if you like dance-based workouts.
