Rating: Summary: A good addition Review: I generally go the gym most days a week, and use the elliptical and/or treadmill, and some of the weight machines.
I use videos to add a little variety or whatever into my exercise.
This is an okay video. It's fun to do, but it probably won't give you huge results on its own.
I don't think that it ever really gets your heart rate up, so I doubt it will burn much fat. The choreography is kind of confusing, so the first couple (or more than a couple because I'm so uncoordinated) of times I did the tape, I couldn't do anything on the first try, and by the time I got the hang of it, it was time to go on to another move.
The instructor is really energenic, but I think that's what a good instructor should be.
I like watching the guy behind her, because he's so muscular and fit and everything, but he has horrible balance, and it seems he and I have similar coordination.
This is a good video to burn a couple of extra calories, and to work a little bit harder on your muscles.
Rating: Summary: Need to do this a few times Review: I hated this the first time I did it but boredom finally forced me into dragging it out again and I must admit that some of the moves are challenging. I like her use of plyometrics. Some stuff is just too dorky and her constant babble is irritating but this is not a bad video for the money. It definately is good to mix in with other sorts of workouts. Tracy Mallett looks great and it is hard to argue with results!
Rating: Summary: Great for busy Moms ( what Mom isn't?) Review: I have had this tape for about 4 years now and it's so worn that I have to replace it. Before I had my baby I just thought it was challenging and fun. Afterward , it was a godsend. The 15 minute workouts enable you to stop and attend to kids, family, home, etc. before continuing without needing to rewind or restart. I also have the Firm which I love but constantly stop and restart and stop and restart (one might see how that can be disheartening and annoying) and Marie Windsor Pilates which is also great, but I'm a jump around and sweat kind of girl. This tape is perfect for that (in measured doses of course). Tracey Mallett was pretty good as instructors go but I was a little annoyed that she counted the steps out wrong at times and that other times her words didn't match her actions. I did however, like how her pupils sometimes messed up. I felt like it made them human and that I'm not the only one all of the time. Anyway, I found the tape convenient, enjoyable and challenging. Even if you do the workouts one or two at a time you'll work up a sweat.

I've been working out now for several months and I find that if I do two segments at a time I still feel it the next day. It's true that there are no real warm-up or cool-down segments, and that some of the background dancers look like they could have used some more training, but I still like the video a lot. Overall, I'd say it's great for those who want a high-intensity, sweat producing workout. Depending on your level of ability, you can do one, two or three workouts and feel like you are burning a lot of calories!

Rating: Summary: My favorite Workout video Review: I have many workout videos, but this is my favorite. I have tried yoga, sculpting, The Firm, Tae Bo and on and on. This is my favorite because there are sections for shorter workouts if I don't have much time. I find that I really get my heart pumping but am able to keep up throughout the workout. It is more of a total workout. For me, many workout videos are either hard to follow (moves that I still haven't figured out) or really build muscle and make me bulky instead of slim or are very boring and a chore to do. This video is fun, easy to follow, and a nice change of pace for all levels. Im actually buying my second copy because my first VHS broke after much use!!!!
Rating: Summary: Good workout with variety Review: I like this workout alot because it's intense enough and really raises your heart rate. I say this tape is great for beginners to the advanced. Since the tape is divided into 3 15-minute segments a beginner can do 1 or 2 segments. An advanced user can do the whole tape and feel like they have had a good workout. The tape includes some sculpting with weights in the 2nd segment. There is alot of variety because of the sculpting and the cardio moves. The instructor Tracy Mallet is not at all boring. She is very motivating and keeps you awake. The live music is loud and even with Tracy's loud voice you can still hear it well. It makes you get into the workout.
Rating: Summary: I love this video! Review: I love this video. I've been doing it for 2 years. I have over 100 videos and this is one of my faves and it's really effective. I would like to buy more of Tracy's vids and or books. I have Jab, Kick, and Burn. I just love Tracy. I love her accent. I love galloping. The exercises are fun. My 10 year old son likes it, too. Over Christmas, I did it before a huge meal and it boosted my metab and I was actually able tolose weight over the holidays by doing lots of vids but eating feastful amounts. Thanks, Tracy. I'd like to buy similar videos. Who and what do you workout fiends recommend?
Rating: Summary: Three great workouts in one videotape Review: I purchased this tape not knowing what to expect (I'm a Tae-bo fan)--much to my surprise, I was extremely pleased at the way the workout was put together. There are three, 15-minute workouts; I usually do the entire 45 minutes because the workouts are never boring, with the middle segment using weights (although I'd have liked a little more use of them). Tracey Mallett is a great instructor, never annoying and great on cueing moves. I recognize a lot of the backup team from Denise Austin's Kickboxing tapes, and they're all still fun to watch. I use advanced workouts, and this tape is fine for all (although a little more work on abs would have rounded the workouts out). Beginners can start with just one or two workouts, then move up. More experienced can use the whole set. I'd love to see more Tracey Mallett videos but can't find any. Strongly recommend this one, though.
Rating: Summary: Good, solid workout Review: I really enjoyed this workout. Although I consider myself in excellent shape, I get easily frustrated with most areobic videos because they are very "dancey." I just want to veg-out and sweat like crazy when I am working out, rather than pay attention to dancy little moves that make me feel like a clutz and don't get my heart rate up. This work out is very much like good old-fashioned calisthenics: basic moves, easy to follow and physically challenging. The pace is brisk and she never dwells very long on one exercise, which helps keep boredom at bay.
