Rating: Summary: Great way to get back on track Review: After 4 years of working out on a Nordic Track, 3 to 4 times a week, I was bored out of my mind. I thought my motivation was gone, until I checked out Leslie's 2 mile walk. She keeps you motivated, and the time goes by very fast. You can bump up or slow down the intensity on your own, giving yourself as intense of a work-out as you want to handle. The music, and the mile guides are very helpful. She makes it easy for somebody with two left feet! I wish she'd come out with a 3 mile tape too.
Rating: Summary: A good way to exercise Review: I bought this video, the "40 plus Walk Aerobics Video" and "Firm Up Fast" as a starter course. I found the "2 Mile Walk" and "Firm Up Fast" to be a good pair, for the following reasons. Leslie Sansone is a very engaging person with just the right amount of encouragement to keep me going. In the 2-mile walk, she does a better job of anticipating changes in steps and motion than in 40+, so it's easy to follow. The people in the studio with her are well synchronized, in contrast to the 40+ workout, where the disorganized bouncing and odd facial expressions (details! details!) are enough to throw me off stride. Leslie starts her count on the left foot in the two-mile walk and right foot in 40+, incidentally. As an over-weight, over-60 beginner, I can easily work up a sweat in the lunges, which occur in the first 3/4 mile and are too fast-paced for comfort, but it never gets any harder than that. I haven't noticed any weight loss after the first four weeks, but I haven't been paying much attention to dieting, either. I have noticed my pants fitting looser, however. The testimonials from happy walkers at the start of the video are annoying after the first time, but one can fast forward past them. Firm Up Fast gives easy exercises that still raise a sweat. Bottom line: I'm still motivated to use these two to exercise, and that's the main purpose.
Rating: Summary: I'm disapointed! Review: This exercise video is so boring! It's overrated. I find it useless. It didn't make me sweat at all! Don't waste your money on this one.
Rating: Summary: A Great Beginning! Review: This is a great video for those who are just starting an excersize program. It's fun, easy to follow, and you'll actually feel as though you're one of the group! Leslie's great!
Rating: Summary: Better than most, except for the jazzy music Review: I loved Sansone's 15 minute-one mile walk video so much that I've decided to go for the 30 minute-two-mile walk. Although Sansone's attitude and personality are very motivating, I found that the music was a bit (just a bit) disappointing to my taste. Also, a few of the movements were not so impressive. Overall, it's a good video tape, and I'm glad that I found Sansone through amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: GREAT EXERCISE Review: This video was wonderful. The directions are great and the music is wonderful. I really have enjoyed working to this adn like the walking videos. Going to buy some more videos by her. I recommend this especially if you are overweight or have not exercised in a while.
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC-BUY IT! Review: Easy on the joints. No matter what age, you are able to do all the moves
Rating: Summary: Tried it and liked it Review: I've used Sansone's Walkaerobics program for about two years now- the Two Mile walk is not beginner's level (she has other tapes that are- and are great) but it is an easy to follow video- featuring walking and toning, and ways to gauge your progress. If you don't have alot of time to work out and like the privacy of your own home with "real" people on the video to follow- ( not all hardbellies!)you'll like this. And if you're at that creaky knee, aching back stage of life- you'll find the movements not too harsh on the ole joints!
Rating: Summary: Nothing more than low-impact aerobics Review: I was quite disappointed in this video. I should have just dusted my old Jane Fonda tapes off and used those instead. This is really nothing more than low-impact aerobics. The workout itself was fine and the pace fast enough for anyone looking to get their heart rate up. If you buy this thinking that it is some new revolutionary way to work out....don't be fooled because it's not. If you are looking for a well-rounded tape, find a nice low-impact tape with floor exercises and you will be much better off.
Rating: Summary: This is actually a good one Review: I've never had the discipline to exercise regularly - it's more often for a few months and then I lose motivation. I've bought exercise videos before and all they do is create the illusion that I use them to people who see them on the shelf. This one, however, is getting through. I bought it after "falling off the wagon" when my water aerobics class stopped; it was too cold out to want to walk or go to the gym. But this tape is actually something I don't mind doing. It's short enough that I can look at the clock and feel motivated to do it because I know I'll be done in half an hour. The workout is easy to follow and low-impact and you do work up a sweat. I especially like her attention to ways you can modify steps if you don't have the room or aren't sure how to do them; I think she's really sensitive to the things that usually discourage people. She's upbeat without sounding like a cheerleader and encouraging without being patronizing. The steps are generally easy and it's motivating to have the clock showing your progress now and then. I also like how she says you can do 1 mile, 1 1/2, or 2 - when I don't feel like doing anything, or don't feel I have time, I remember that and just do the first half of the tape. That's the best thing about it - she makes you feel like doing SOME exercise rather than nothing, and that leads to doing more. It's really working for me. Also, all the people in the tape exercising behind her are "regular folks" introduced by the amount of weight they've lost, so that's motivating too. I'm already looking into her other tapes (and I never thought of myself as someone who would do this!).
