Rating: Summary: not a great video Review: this video is a bust!..it may be good for people who are just getting off the couch, but is certainly isn't much of a workout..and the absolute worse thing about this video is Leslie's endless babbling about NOTHING...she sounds like a teenager gossiping! ..I do not want to hear about how one of the associates had a baby 5 months before! or any cutsie comments about being a new mother!(and if I ever play the video again, I will again get the babble about the baby who is still 5 months old!)...and then there are the numerous times that an associate will throw in a ridiculous comment about how they are feeling the workout in their different muscle groups ; but no one is getting any cardio workout and no one is sweating (including me!)..this is the only video I have ever "muted"... none of the associates, or Leslie herself, got their firm bodies by doing only Leslie's "walk" tapes!..there are better videos for beginners.... don't waste your money
Rating: Summary: Invigorating Review: I find Leslie's videos both doable and invigorating. She makes me comfortable and I feel good doing her walk aerobics. She takes you through from the easiest to more advanced walking at home. I recommend this and all her videos.
Rating: Summary: A Walking At Home High Review: Hi I just love this video, I am just getting into this way of exercise with the winter and all, as I love to walk in the warm weather. I have bought a few tapes in the past and could never get into them. I just love Leslie, her style and pace. I have been doing 2 of her tapes almost every nite for the past month. I would like to purchase another tape directed toward the abdomen area, any suggestions would be muchly appreciated. Thank you to Leslie and her pleasant manner I am starting to feel more in shape and better about myself.
Rating: Summary: Excellent for the Couch Potato Review: Leslie is a God send to all of us who have not bothered to "move" in the last century. The technique she uses is to envoke fun and do movments that are not straining to the body. I did not have to know any complicated "dance steps". The people in the video look normal. I am not intimdated by the usual "models" that some fitness tapes seem to use. People come in all shapes and sizes and leslie seems to know this fact. She even states in the tape that "it is not how you look but how you feel and intereact with your family". That is reality and to me inspirational. GO LESLIE
Rating: Summary: Highly Motivating! Review: I have a number of workout videos and this is my favorite. First of all, it is a 2 mile walk in 25 minutes and I can almost always find 25 minutes to exercise. I find excuses NOT to do the 60 minute tapes. Plus it's a good, strong daily workout. Just as importantly, Leslie is excellent. She is natural, relaxed and funny and provides excellent cues. The mileage chart that shows up on the screen is very motivating. You can see how far you've gone and how far you have yet to go. It helps. Leslie is also the only instructor that has not irritated me after a few weeks. I like her low-key, good-natured demeanor. She's so real that you almost feel like you're in the class with her. I don't like exercise at all, but Leslie and this tape have me getting up every morning to go my 2 miles, and I actually look forward to it. I've been doing it several months, 6 days a week and am losing weight and feeling better with less aches and pains. This video is as effective and as painless a routine as you'll ever find!
Rating: Summary: Not my favorite but.... Review: This is not my favorite of Leslie's tapes but is still a good workout. I prefer the tapes where she is alone, she doesn't get annoying when its just her. I definitely use the mute on this one and add my own music, plus the music is not very good.
Rating: Summary: Energizing and Fun. Review: I have several of Leslie's tapes. I enjoy them all, but this one is the most fun. This video has a 2 mile walk in 30 minutes plus some toning exercises. This is an excellent change of pace for those use of us user to to low impact aerobics that get boring after viewing them repeatedly.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME Video Review: I just ordered this and recieved it just yesterday. I talked my husband into doing it, and WOW. It's amazing. I was thoroughly impressed by this video. I probably wouldn't have even tried it if my Denise Austin video hadn't broken. But this video is 100 times better! It has a counter that pops up at every quarter mile, half mile, mile, etc. which is great for keeping you motivated to keep on walking. My husband and I did just a mile, and then fast forwarded it to the cool-down as she suggested. She's also wearing a very modest outfit- not some skimpy bathing suit/leotard, and she has several other people on the video with her of all shapes and sizes, who have supposedly done her program and lost weight. At the beginning of the tape there is about five minutes, if that, if testimonials- which is kind of annoying, because after the first time of watching them, you don't really want to watch them over and over again. I've been walking a lot on our treadmill and was getting bored to the point I didn't want to do it anymore. But this video I believe has taken place of the treadmill. I've just started it, so no weight loss to report, but I would recommend this to anyone!
Rating: Summary: Got me going again!! Review: After the birth of my 3rd child 6 yrs ago (at the age of 36), I weighed 150 lbs (I'm 5'2"!). Well, I got going on the treadmill (2 miles in 30 mins almost every day) and watched my diet. I lost down to 110 lbs and looked and felt great! Then, a year ago my treadmill burned up and I just sort of quit doing anything. Within a yr I gained 25 lbs and felt horrible. I came across Leslie's 2 mile walk video and ordered it. While waiting for it to get here, I bought a new treadmill. As soon as the tape arrived, I popped it in and I have been doing it every day since!! I love it -- I haven't even used my treadmill. Leslie's moves are varied enough that you don't get bored but they are "doable" -- I break a sweat! While I haven't lost any wt yet (it's only been 2 weeks) -- I actually look forward to doing the video -- they are real people, not all "skinny minnies" and Leslie's encouragement keeps you going -- her laugh is a little annoying, but it's OK --it makes me laugh! I love the "mile meter" at the bottom -- it keeps you going too. I definitely recommend this tape, especially to busy Moms (or Dads) who need a 30 min workout -- my daughter even does it with me! The music is "so-so" -- it could be a little more modern.
Rating: Summary: A video I can do!! Review: i have no motivation when it comes to working out. if it is too hard or boring i will not do it. i just purchased the 2 mile walk, and i actually WANT to work out! it is low impact, easy to follow and fun. i like the mile/time counter at the bottom of the screen. it lets you walk to your own ability without feeling like you are a quitter. go 1/2 to 2 miles, or anywhere in between. great for beginners and overweight persons (aka, people just like me!).
