Rating: Summary: Good workout when you don't have a lot of time Review: I used this workout when I was pregnant, right up to the end. Of course, I couldn't do all the poses toward the end. But, if you want a quick, thorough, whole-body stretch to keep you feeling limber this is a great video. I never got bored of it, and my cronic back issues pretty much disappeared the whole time I used it. The 20 minute sessions are great when you are tired from a long day at work or have a child competing for your time.
Rating: Summary: Good workout when you don't have a lot of time Review: I've done some bad yoga videos but this has been the absolute worst so far. The instructors voice is really, really annoying and the flowing poses are done way too slow. They're supposed to generate power and stamina but the only thing they did for me was bore me to tears. I wouldn't even recommend this to a beginner.

Rating: Summary: Not bad but could be better Review: I've owned Denise's Pilates mat workout for a couple of years so I thought I would try something new. I have to say this is much more basic and isn't nearly as strenuous. I didn't feel like I'd done much at the end of the 20 minutes. I think I'll stick with the other tape.
Rating: Summary: A good workout for someone who's deaf Review: Not a bad workout if you're looking for something to get your blood flowing a little or you're tired (definitely for a beginner). However, her annoying voice is enough to make you wish you could be temporarily deaf. She should probably get a script writer and/or a thesaurus. She says the word "wonderful" so many times that I actually cringe as I'm doing the workout. I could eventually see myself having nightmares about this woman, so I'm sticking this video in a drawer.
Rating: Summary: The title is deceptive.... Review: Not the "power" yoga taught in any of the classes I've taken, which are generaly challenging. This is more "Yoga for Wimps and People Who Have Never Done Yoga Before". I've never been compelled to write a review, but my dislike for this DVD and wanting to prevent others from wasting money on it is quite strong. You would be much better off with Baron Baptiste's Power Yoga 1,2,& 3 or Karen Voight's Yoga and Sculpting. Strength moves are generally what you think of with "power" yoga. There really isn't enough here to get you working very hard. I would recommend this for people who are very out of shape and need a good stretch. Basically every other power yoga video out there is better than this one. Don't just buy it because you know her name. Trust me, she isn't an authority on yoga. And that voice..... It's yoga. You're supposed to be reflective & relaxed. Stop talking already!!! Wish I could get my money back. False advertising.
Rating: Summary: don't waste your money Review: The problems with this workout are: 1. She goes from pose to pose quickly without explaining how to do the pose correctly. She is assuming that you already know the poses 2. If you know enough yoga to know the poses she does, the workout will most likely be too easy for you 3. I couldn't be serious about the workout because I was laughing too hard at her commentary ("let me see your smiling face!") So, it's not good for beginners or for more experienced yoga practitioners, either. Don't buy it.

Rating: Summary: Great whole body stretch Review: This DVD is divided into 2 segments. One on yoga (20 minutes) and one on pilates ( 20 minutes). Easy to do every day. Great overall stretching for the whole body. Great for your back! Many times I do this first thing in the morning and Denise Austin is very easy to listen to while you're still sleepy. After the workout - you feel invigorated. I planned on only doing this workout a few times a week but I like the way it stretches me and end up doing it every day. I'm looking for another of her workouts to try. I highly recommend this (no - I have NOT beeen paid to say that)!
Rating: Summary: Poser, not poses Review: This is, hands down, the worst fitness video (let alone yoga video) I have ever come across. Denise's voice is grating and the workout is terrible. If she reminds me one more time of how I should "feel the wonderful benefits of this movement" I will die. The workout as a whole is not at all relaxing and I didn't even feel like I was working throughout the entire process. Austin's grasp of form and her ability to convey proper poses is appalling! Avoid this video at all costs!
