Rating: Summary: Great Way To Lose Weight and Learn Real Boxing!! Review: Finally there is a real boxing workout available and Boxing 101 is it! This is not another cheesy boxaerobics production. I have watched ALOT of fitness and boxing videos, but this is by far the BEST instruction where it is broken down and easy to understand. Everything from jump rope to wrapping my hands was easy to learn from this DVD. Once I got the basics down I started the boxing camp workout. It was awesome!! It has only been a week and I'm seeing and feeling the results. A nice bonus is the addition CD that allows me to listen to Angelo coach me through the workout. Plus, with my busy schedule of school and work, it only took 30 minutes out of my day. This is the best boxing workout on the market and I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Good job on the extreme basics... Review: Good job on the extreme basics...JAB, CROSS, FRONT AND BACK FOOTWORK.
Only two punches are presented: the Jab and Cross.
He does an excellent job instructing you on the proper execution of the jab and cross and does has excellent drills to ensure you are throwing them correcly. He does an excellent job in teaching you the speed bag and drilling yourself on the speed bag.
I was taken away by the other review and thought it was much more than it was.
At the start of the DVD video is the advertisements for his Boxing 201 "Intermediate" and Boxing 301 "Advanced".
If you want to go beyond the Jab and Cross, and learn the uppercuts, hook, overhands and more offensive and defensive cominations, I suppose you'll need to buy his other 201 and 301 DVD to learn those.
I don't mean to be negative about this product, but it's too too basic, but he did a great job in stressing the basics i.e., Jab, Cross, forward and backward footwork, speedbag and heavy bag training, one round of crunches, jumping rope (3 rounds total), slip and weave. The doctors comments were basically common sense.
I tell you a secret: spend a few more dollars and buy Ultimate Boxing Fundamentals in instead of this DVD or in addition to this DVD, but don't buy this DVD by itself.

Rating: Summary: Great for instruction and shedding pounds. Review: I was looking for a great way to lose weight and I've always been kind of avid boxing fan. Since Prime Time Boxing is located in Sacramento and I happen to live there too I thought I would give there DVD a chance. The instructions are easy to follow, the dvd is nicely presented. The intructor Angelo is very clear and vivid in how to perform the moves. He finds a way to relate the basic boxing movements with other types of sports. Another really nice addition to the package is a Audio cd that allows me to follow Angelo's voice instructions without the need of a visual aid. It's like he's right there with you. The only downside is the workout involves some equipment that you may need to purchase if you don't already have it. Over all it is worth it.
Rating: Summary: Finally... Structure!! Review: Much thanks to Prime Time for making a great instructional and workout dvd. I've watched quite a few "How to" boxing dvd's and this one is by far the best. I say this because it tackles the most important aspects as well as the basic fundamentals of boxing. I'm talking about structure. All the movements that are involved with throwing punches are so often over looked, but Angelo leaves no rock unturned. Another reason I purchased this dvd is because Angelo has professional boxing experience against some of the best names around. Also, Angelo and Cary are both Certified Olympic Level 4 Coaches for you boxing buffs out there. Also it's not hard to find the equipment this dvd refers to because it's available at there site. This dvd is perfect for someone who wants to learn how to box. I can't wait for the advanced dvd.
